Pros: Does not boot. Bios gone.
Overall Review: Don’t buy it
Pros: Very fast and easy install. 8 cores are much better than 4.
Overall Review: I am a DIY guy so I build as much of my own stuff as I can myself. I used to get the over clocking "K" series in what ever I bought and this time realizing I never really over clocked anything I went with this model and got a CPU more in line with the type of use I have. Good decision. ASUS tuf z490 board and my 1151 socket cooler bolted right up. GeForceRTX 2060 vid card, 16 megs Corsair Ram Does anyone really ever use those little CPU coolers that intel puts out? Nice to have current level hardware.
Pros: It works slowly
Cons: The Realtek chip on the one I was sent was a RTL8111E and had nothing to to with the RTL8168 that I bought this unit for. Totally missleading. Totally wrong product ab=]dvertised. be careful of ordering from Aisia.
Overall Review: Would no buy from a non-American provider.
Pros: Very stable, those two DW1000 modules see to that. The Realtech 8111F chip takes care of the rest. Very fast, very stable Windows 10 picks it up without a hick-up. Worth the money.
Cons: Product description was minimal. Could use more details.
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: Plugs in powers up. Started to transfer my music collection to it. It started at 80 megs per second now after about a week I have thumb drives that go faster. it loads at 20 to 40 MB. The more I use it the slower it gets. Incredibly bad performance. I expected more from Western Digital.
Overall Review: I tried using the software that comes with it to update the firmware and using the tool program to format and clean it. Reinstalled the driver on the desk top and even switched USB 3 slots. If you would like 130 GB files to load in mere hours than this Passport is for you. If you buy this do not say you were not warned.
Pros: Great picture at a great price Stand adjusts easily.
Cons: Developed a dead pixel just off from center of the screen. Very distracting. Very disappointed.
Overall Review: Quality control or cheap parts?
Pros: Very stable easy to configure motherboard. UFI bios are great easy to use easy to update. Never had any problem using this board with anything I have plugged into it. Just started using the M.2 socket for a Plextor SSD and it just keeps getting better. Been using this board for just short of a year and have had no issues. Very pleased.
Cons: has what I consider to be a poor performing audio chip. Since I have a high end audio card this was not really much of a detriment for me. All I could think of to put in this section of the review.
Overall Review: Not a gamer. Just an enthusiast. I just surf the net and play music with my desk top. This board rocks. What you get for the price is amazing value.
Pros: Very easy install, incredibly fast. Very small. Bios on Auto picked it up and I was off and running with it instantly.
Cons: Using ATTO I only achieved 729 MB read speed, but even so, that is a very high read rate. Using ATTO I got 569 write speeds. Still blows anything else right out of the water.
Overall Review: I didn't really need this but I love it. Using a Asrock pro 4 motherboard with a Z97 chip. Not exactly top of the line but even so read and write speeds are outstanding. Very pleased.
Pros: This program was not designed to run on Windows 7 in spite of the 2012 date on the packaging label, This is a repackaged program from the 1990s and does not even run in wide screen mode. The animations are slow and the computer struggles to be compatible with the old technology that this program really is. I feel ripped off. Leave this one alone.
Cons: This program was not designed to run on Windows 7 in spite of the 2012 date on the packaging, This is a repackaged program from the 1990s and does not even run in wide screen mode. Overall Review: A complete rip off.
Pros: Plugs in and works fine.
Cons: Makes a lot more noise than my other dvd/cd drive which is a non green ASUS drive. Should have ignored the green promotion and went for the other drive.
Pros: Everything fired up without a problem. Bios updated themselves. It is great having 6 SATA3 connectors. Great board for those who do not over-clock and simply want a blazing fast board to go along with the SSDs and new CPUs. Easy set up. Fast. Stable.
Cons: could have made it a bit wider.
Pros: Super easy to set up. Comes with a preprogramed user name and password printed on the bottom of label that you can change later at your convenience. Live in a large house and strong signal is all over the place. Replaced a Motorola 6580 that over-heated and burned itself out. Runs cool by comparison. Plenty of indicator lights to let you know what is pugged in and what is working. Less expensive than a Motorola.
Cons: A bit harder to reset password than needs be.
Overall Review: Very pleased with this Gateway modem. Not Taiwan or Chinese made, though not thrilled by being built in Tijuana but it is designed in Boston.
Pros: The read & write speeds are way up there. Easy to install. Good support website.
Cons: Slower start than my last SSD. Almost twice as long. Random reads are slower as well. Had I known I would have chosen another brand. Instead of a step forward, it is a step back speed-wise.
Overall Review: This will do and is merely OK. There are better speedsters out there when it comes to start times and SSDs.
Pros: Easy to install, easy to power up. Has all the slots needed for those of us that find 1 video card adequate. Stable. No hick-ups on the install. Picked up my SSD and HDD no problem. Easiest install ever. I love Asrock boards, I have tried several brands that I do not think I am allowed to name and Asrock has always delivered the performance and stability. I cannot understand why people have given this board less than 5 stars.
Cons: I have large hands so a little more width wouldn't hurt.
Overall Review: In all honesty I doubt that the Gold caps add that much to the board. I think that one is more for show.
Pros: Not many pros. The tracking is jerky on the screen. The ergonomics are not quite comfortable.
Cons: Please see other thoughts. Do not buy this mouse. Way over-priced and not as good as advertised.
Overall Review: The tracking is jerky and battery life very limited. Rather have a AA battery like my last Logitech that would last for months instead of plugging this thing in everyday. The tilt wheel is barely operable with no discernible left or right click to let you feel that the desired action had taken place. This could have been a great mouse with a better operating tilt wheel. Absolutely over-priced. Instead of $100 this mouse should not go for more than $39.00. definitely not worth the asking price and over-all a great disappointment.
Pros: 3.0 ok
Cons: Not quality built. Used Sedna adapter for 5.25 inch bay and was difficult to get screws in. After mounting found that little blue light stays on and the USB 2.0 do not work. Very disappointed.
Pros: Was easy to connect and set up using packaged software. I cannot understand what all the low scores are for. Now I have all my internet connected entertainment items connected. My house hold has 2 laptops, a kindle Fire and regular kindle and a desk top. All run at a very high speed on the wireless connection.
Pros: Very clear sound. Easy to use interface put on TV screen for even better use. Sounds great. HDMI all work well and are labeled and passive pass-through for when TV speaker will do. Plenty of digital collectors for my use and internet radio makes for even more nice sounding music. Power enough to push my 4 8-inch floor speakers and 12 inch sub-woofer to window rattling but crystal clear sound.
Pros: Effective, Easy to set up and powerful. Software that comes with it makes this very easy to set up. There is no speed loss or interruption of feed. Up-loads and down loads are exactly the same as my wired connection. (Something I was not expecting.) I keep this in my den above the garage. My wife loves her mac. (Something else I was not expecting.) One story up and 4 walls to the TV room downstairs and no loss of signal strength. Wife was getting 4 bars there as well. (Even though it is a Mac) I was able to get my satellite and BD player hooked to the internet through the wired ports provided, not to mention my desk-top. All of these items had no problems. The Surfboard as a wireless network machine can now retire the wireless aspect of its operation.
Overall Review: I would never have thought such an inexpensive wireless router would perform so well. The set-up software makes installation fast and easy. Clearly, a well thought out piece of consumer friendly software. If you are looking for a wireless router you could not do much better especially at this price.
Pros: No telling what this machine can do!
Cons: Power source was not shipped with the switch.
Overall Review: Would have loved to give this a try but without the power cord that was not in the box I will have no chance.
Pros: This external HDD pretty much operates as advertised. The back-up and web sharing software is preloaded onto a partition that Windows 7 64 bit had no trouble installing and integrating into the system. I backed up everything on my system onto this drive using the provided software and was able to restore the same files seamlessly and easy. I have over 300 Gigs of music and some work papers I do not want to lose, and no problems. The 18 inch USB3 cable is of high quality and built to last. (This cable is much longer than my last short cable from a WD source.) The Back-up Plus works equally well and fast without installing the software package, Windows recognized the drive without installing the software package and was able to use it as an external drive with no problems. I was getting 94 to 96 MB per second using the USB3 straight off my Asrock Extreme 4 MB with the Z77 chip. I tried to again using a USB3 Marvell add on card and got the same results. Testing with ATTO 32 gave the same 94 to 96 write speed and 94 MB per second read speed. Not bad for a 5400 rpm back up drive on a USB connection!
Cons: The software once installed slowed down my starting time considerably. After having gone through the trouble and expense of putting in an SSD with all the bells and whistles to get a fast starting time on my PC I thought the slower starting time due to the software package deserved a star deduction on the software package no matter how functional.
Overall Review: I like this drive. It is small fast and light. Though I did not get a chance to use the social software portion of the drive, (I do not engage the social portion of the ‘net.) I would not expect any less stellar performance than with any of the other software features.
Pros: I have been using this board for about 3 months now and it has been a very stable performer. The bios are very easy to understand and use. It has accepted all the expansion cards I plugged into it and no issues with any of them. I especially like the fan controls. The Realtek audio 898 sounds good for an on-board soltion except for a slight hiss in the earphones. Do not know if that is the board or my case wiring. Put in an awesome sounding HT Omega Claro 2 and things improved dramatically. As far as the board is concerned, I think I will keep it a while. Good hard working and trouble free board.
Cons: Works great but wish it had been made to a full ATX configuration at 9.6 inches wide instead of the 8.6 inches wide it comes in. I like the room to work.
Overall Review: Have 3 ASUS DVD burners, a HT Omega sound card, 2 SSDs and one Western Digital 1GB HDD, with a small USB 3.0 expansion card for more usb hook-ups in the back. All running very well. Oh and a I7-2600k and nvidia GTX 560TI with 12 gigs of 1600 DDR3 ram.
Pros: Crystal clear sound. Plenty of mid-range excellent base. No hissing or static sound coming through on the earphones. I have a good set of speakers (for a computer) and they never sounded better. But this card does not come into it's own until you use the optical link cable and run it through your home sound system. Truely clear sound, you hear all the nuances of the music without any distortion with more base than my last sound card (Xonar-DX).
Cons: none yet
Pros: Very nice sounding card for music. Great for the price. Auto earphone muting. Great beginner card. I do not care what you may read, dedicated sound Cards are always better than on board. Even with today's MBs.
Cons: There was a pop when starting the computer. When I put on my ear-buds I could hear a faint sound of static when things were quiet and in between songs.
Overall Review: Since other than being a computer enthusiast, I like to listen to music. This card made a much fuller music experience than the Asus Sonar DX it replaced. The clarity suffered by comparison, but the over all sound was definetly better for music. The'DX had better clarity but the over-all sound experience was not as "full" as the Striker. If the striker would have had the SNR it would be the one to keep. The music was improved despite the low SNR so much, that I decided to get the HT Omega Claro II with a SNR of 120. Bottomn line is the Striker showed so much promise that I decided to upgrade to the Claro II.
Cons: Pugged it into a Asrock Extreme 4 and installed the drivers. It does not work. Reinstalled it. Put the drivers in from the company website. It still does not work. It would be a waste of time and effort and money to RMA this little piece of garbage.
