Satidified not ready to burst one out

LG-Ericsson WBR-5050 Wireless N600 Dual-Band Broadband Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab
LG-Ericsson WBR-5050 Wireless N600 Dual-Band Broadband Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab

Pros: I have recently had a number of different wireless routers going on test basis, after bying new home. Wanted to se which would deliver the best signal, carry my full broadband speed, etc. Netgear and Dlink my miles varied. Certainly a "U get what u pay for" thing, with routers, but then again, I have seen some expensive Ciscos just pan and lay donkey berries. I have to say, I was little skeptical,b ut sicne I have no complaints with my Washer/Dryer and Tvs, I figured, "Maybe LG (Erricsson, diff subsid I know) has put out a decent wireless router too?/ Well, I have to announce, the back bedrooms are getting full signals. They were not before (this after doing the same sort of testing with adapters. Guesss what, Rosewills work fabulous!!) with the aformentioned NG, DLink, a cheapo Buffalo, and old School Linksys, and a few others. I am satisified. The interface is fairly easy and use rfriendly, but it has all the bells and whistles imilat to higher end ones I have seen.

Cons: I would buy this again, without hesitation, for the added signal strength, I do think the current price point is a bit over but I won't take points for that, for all I know its a NE thing.

Overall Review: I would reccommend for a shopper who is looking for what I was , additional signal strength at additional lengths. I wish I could provide more, but my wireless knowledge only gos so far, I am a builder.software guy by heart.

Giving 4 eggs for hisotry, taking one for RMA

Toshiba X300 10TB Performance & Gaming Internal Hard Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5 inch - HDWR11AXZSTA (RETAIL PACKAGE)
Toshiba X300 10TB Performance & Gaming Internal Hard Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 256MB Cache 3.5 inch - HDWR11AXZSTA (RETAIL PACKAGE)

Overall Review: Have bought so many Toshiba drives I've lost count. Been more rleiable than most, on par wit that other company with initials W and D. Large capacity drives have been the bomb so far as well. However, did get a 5 TB drive that went did. Well within Warranty. Sent in RMA, got it, sent in backup docs, all is good. Non-new series drives generally will get a Visa card, not another drive. Would have taken another drive no problem. 3 months go by, nothing. Checked in, was informed Toshiba's RMA 3rd party company has gone belly up. Now waiting for who knows how long. Was told would be contacted, but when left wide open. Just an FYI for all mutual Toshiba drive owners.

Kickin It

GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 8G Graphics Card, Pre-Installed Waterblock, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, GV-N2080AORUSX WB-8GC Video Card
GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB 8G Graphics Card, Pre-Installed Waterblock, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, GV-N2080AORUSX WB-8GC Video Card

Pros: Repalced a GTX 980 ti on water block. Was a bit hesitent, b/c I've always gone out and bought my water block of choice. I have gone with the Watercool HEATKILLERs for my last 3-4 bad boy box GPU block. I researched Gigabytes colling hardware and couldn't qquite nail down who made it, if they got a 3rd party block (if I was to take a stab, I'd say it was an EK block.) But then I also got a little budget conscious for once. Getting a seaprate block usually adds another $125-150 to the setup. So I went for it with one of these pre-installed wateer blocks. First, I hav to say, it is put together very nicely. The card and block are solid and a lil' bonus, the RGB LED adds to it. Most important, I am getting temps comprable to any earlier 3rd aprty block. I would not have gotten a card and block that came with a built on radiator. I am still suing a Feser X-Changer 360mm that CANNOT be beat. I also have a Watercool 240mm in my loop with a Ryzen Threadripper. Right now, I am getting great FPS on this on Far Cry 5 and BF5. I didn't see the need for a 2080 ti using a 49" monitor, so this RTX 2080 is doing just fine. All in all, I am very satisifed with this card.

Cons: I started getting some 5-10 freezes on FC5. After some research, started to get a little worried, read that these 2080s can have some sort of freexing glitch. Alas, it was a non-issue, a reinstall of the game took care of the stutters.

Overall Review: Was able to knock off 40 Georges for using Newegg moble app and the card came with BF5. Overall, the package was quite satisfying. Will probably be leaving Threadripper for the next Intel flagship, but that won't happen for a while. The Ryzen is doing all I need. No fan boy here on either. Very happy AMD is back in the game, but the heat is one thing on those big arrsse chips. Also, using a Mountain Mods case I've had for yars, this GIGABYTE AORUS is, by far, the best looking card I have ahd in this setup to ddate. I've had this case for, like, almost 10 years now. Awesome case.

Wavlink Dual Band reunning like a charm

Wavlink WN681AE AC600 USB Wi-Fi Adapter, 600Mbps Dual Band Wireless Adapter, 802.11ac, High Gain 3dbi Antenna Network Adapter, 2.4G/150Mbps + 5G/433Mbps for PC, Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 (32/64bits) MAC OS
Wavlink WN681AE AC600 USB Wi-Fi Adapter, 600Mbps Dual Band Wireless Adapter, 802.11ac, High Gain 3dbi Antenna Network Adapter, 2.4G/150Mbps + 5G/433Mbps for PC, Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 (32/64bits) MAC OS

Pros: Easy to install, W10- picked it up right away. Running 100mbps Spectrum without any slow downs. Great price, awesome product, would advise anyone to purchase one needing faster speeds and dual band.

Cons: I did install the drivers, but I don't recall a proprietary GUI for connecting. No big deal, Windows does find. )May be one, maybe I just overlooked it though.)

Overall Review: It was packed pretty good too. Came in a protective plastic mold inside the box. Comes with small disc (if I remember correctly, it was back in Nov 2017), but hey, goes to show you, still running without issue 6 months later. I didn't want to list it as a con, b/c I don't feel it is, but the Wavlink folks will stay on you to provide a review. ;) NOTHING wrong with this, it is a great product and I am sure they are a small business looking to gain a foothold and market share. I know how this feels, I run multiple LLCs and believe me that aint no bull. So come on peeps, buy wavlink, give it a try, hopefully you'll be satisified as I have been with the 0XM-00B5-00028. Peace.

Decent case, clean, sleek, does the trick

DIYPC Cuboid-R Black / Red USB 3.0 Gaming Micro-ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ 1 x 140mm LED Red Fan x Front, 1 x 120mm LED Red Fan x Rear
DIYPC Cuboid-R Black / Red USB 3.0 Gaming Micro-ATX Mid Tower Computer Case w/ 1 x 140mm LED Red Fan x Front, 1 x 120mm LED Red Fan x Rear

Pros: Not the thickest metal material, but not the worst either. We're not talking Lian Li here by any means, but it also isn't a Raidmax sliver case either. The legs are ok, I have it mounted on a table floor an HTPC. The mobo lined right up. I have a smaller Silverstone PSU on it. Would have been nice if they provided an SFX bracket, but I wont hold it against them, since the case snt a MiniITX to start with, and they do spec it out as ATX standard.

Cons: The fans are junk as others have noted. I took the back 120mm out and put in an old Gentle Typhoon I had laying around, 100x better. The front 140mm isn't too bad for a 140mm slow air mover, but still, can be much more efficient. I ordered a Nanoxia Deep Silence 140mm, which isn't an Newegg brand, but a newer brand that is holding its own. Looking forward to popping this baby on and seeing the air flow.

Overall Review: Shipping condition in box was aok. Firmly packaged in Styrofoam, bagged, side panel windows covered with a film or protection.

Get some egg yolk and White Back

GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD5 WIFI LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD5 WIFI LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Sad to see bad review overall score due to bios burns and inept hardware building. Put this thing together back in 9/2014, has worked flawless since Day 1. Needed no Bios update to get going, have updated since, still no probs. Put a 5930X in mine, kicks anything it is posed to.

Cons: No cons, maybe price of DDR4 when I bought it, to seems to have come down greatly - price of being new

Overall Review: I've read through a number of the "disappointments" and from the descriptions, can think of numerous things that could be wrong, besides the board. Wish more people with positive experience do reviews, than just those who have a prob. Words of advice - do a little more homework, do a little more napping, patience works with every build, even an AMD build!

Fenvi Dual Band

The Fenvi FV8303 Desktop PC Dual Band Wireless-N WIFI PCI Express PCI-E Antenna Adapter Wlan Card is a solid product. Popped it right into a ASRock H170M Pro4 PCIEx1 slot. The disk it comes with, wasn't a straight EXE file open and install though. Had to install WINRar and extract it. Could have done without that, but no big deal. Install the correct OS version and it picked up without issue. The adapter picked up all 3 of my router bands and is screaming the 70 Mbps that the previous Rosewill USB adapter could not (<30 Mbps), thus my goal was realized. The deal price was the least expensive for a PCIE, I went for it, having not used Fenvi before in the apst and proved to be a satisfying purchase. Hopefully the adapter has longevity. I think it will go for quite a while since it does appear to be solidly built with heat diss metal on the unit. Could be wrong though, we will see.
