Pros: Lights....Still Works
Cons: Don't see any.
Overall Review: Believe it or not. I bought this thing over 10 years ago now. (Purchase date 11/23/07)
I still use the system I bought it for, daily...(Though as a media streaming machine and not my gamer machine)....and this PSU STILL WORKS! It is on 24/7. Can't complain! Just clean it out once in awhile and it'll do well.
Pros: Great construction. Solid machine.
Cons: I bought this for my daughter a few years ago. It seemed fine when it arrived, but I quickly learned it was not fine at all. It had a very serious overheating issue once put under a load. Fortunately I am an IT guy and realized what was going on....found a new heatsink assembly and swapped it out. Problem completely solved. The original had gone bad.
It just leaves me to really question the reliability of the people who supposedly performed the refurbish. Obviously they didn't test it properly at all.
Overall Review: All said and done, it is a great older laptop that serves first time users very well.
Pros: Excellent build quality. Nice stylish design. Illuminated keyboard. Windows 8.1. Very well ventilated. dedicated Nvidia GPU. On sale sub $1000. Full Keyboard. Really, this is more a desktop replacement than laptop.
Cons: It is true the screen's viewing angles are a bit restricted, but if you're watching video or gaming from any angle than actually in front of it, that I ask...."What is wrong with you?" Not difficult to turn a laptop to have it's screen face you.
Overall Review: This was purchased for my son. I already own the 16 GB RAM model and he wanted one as well but opted for the 8 GB RAM model. He is as pleased with his as I am with mine. Both are used for heavy gaming and although they are not the top of the line, they are VERY respectable machines! Also, it's Lenovo (IBM). That in itself says quality.
Pros: Nice modern design. Well ventilated. 4TB and under $150 when I bought it. Read immediately and flawlessly on initial connect. (Running Windows 8.1) I am currently moving nearly a full TB of information in one shot as we speak and it has been taking it well. Grant it, time will tell on durability, but first impression is quite good indeed!
Cons: Unknown at this time.
Overall Review: The software included with this drive allows for cloud as well as pc back up and even android back up as well.
Pros: Compact for travel use. Appears good quality construction. Extremely affordable.
Overall Review: This item works well on the test I've given it thus far. I have had it read an assortment of laptop drives and it has done well. I've seen no issue.
Also, Kudos to Newegg as always. Item arrived in shipment the very next day and it was only standard shipping. Hats off to you guys! Your efforts do not go unappreciated.
Pros: It's cheap.
It's kinda cool.
It works rather well.
It has scalable DPI.
It came in cool all Chinese packaging.
The mouse feels good to scroll...the l and r click is very sensitive but thats not really a bad thing.
Cons: None yet really side from wishing it had a scroll up and down button set up vs one button to cycle through but thats NOT a big issue...
Overall Review: It's worth the money and the shipping came through at a very respectable time!
Pros: Price for what you get in hardware. Sturdy build. Good looks. High performance. The JBL speakers actually aren't too bad for being laptop speakers.
This does run Skyrim on MAXED graphics settings.....(ofc I did a complete fresh reinstall of my OS off the bat to remove all bloatware and what not, then reinstalled all drivers manually)
It runs incredibly well!
Cons: There IS some flex in the keyboard but as long as you're not a key pounder, it's not an issue in the slightest.
The screen is finicky at angles, but I'm not planning to play from a side view anyway....
Neither of these are enough to remove an egg.....
Lenovo has built a solid top performer here.
Oh, it does eat battery life like crazy, but then, it's a top performer, what do you expect?
Overall Review: If you're on the fence about this one, don't be. Just buy it. It's worth it. You won't find another currently on the market to match for it's pricetag!
It is truly a desktop replacement - NOT a "laptop"
Pros: Compact thin design and large quiet fan. Sturdy construction. Excellent hardware for the price!
Overall Review: What more is to be said? It works as it's supposed to and is of good build quality. I highly recommend!
Pros: Small, stylish, it has played everything I've thrown at it thus far..INCLUDING .MKV with full audio!! For those griping it wont play the audio...UPDATE THE THING ALREADY! It's not hard! It adds more audio support for those files! Never hurts to read a bit ya know? The picture and audio quality so far are quite good! I have not a single complaint at all about this little black box! I highly recommend!!!!
Overall Review: Before flaming a product, do your research. Sometimes the problems you may be having are not really a problem at all. The fact WD has been issuing updates for this product says a lot to me. They actually seem to care.
Pros: I installed 4 Gigs of this ram in my PC. I KNOW IT'S KINGSTON THEREFORE I KNOW IT WILL WORK!
All 4 sticks were recognized immediately and at their correct speeds with Vista 64 bit home premium on a brand new build at the first boot up! (should also mention I used the BadAxe2 Mobo..)
Cons: NONE WHATSOEVER!
Overall Review: RECOMEND HIGHLY!
Pros: EVERYTHING! I even like the assurance of knowing that a program can not run unless it asks me for permission! I like to have control of my pc at all times!
This OS run quite stable also...no problems so far!
Cons: For all you Vista haters out there...do u not remember back when XP came out? All the problems it had? Remember how is was said to be the worst OS ever made back then? Now what do they say? Now they claim it to be one of if not the BEST one that exists....SAME APPLIES WITH VISTA!
Service packs will come! Hotfixes will make this thing better! Besides, for anyone who's a real gamer out there, you're going to fall behind the pack staying with XP as we all with Vista move on to DirectX 10 gaming! SUCK IT UP and move ahead already! I personally have had virtually no problems with this OS at all! I find it more versatile and forgiving than XP to tell you the truth.
Overall Review: Never using XP again!
Also of note....yeah yeah yeah...Vista takes much more memory but whoopdie doo! Look at the OS you're getting people! Ram doesn't cost that much anymore these days....not like it used to when you compare sizes and speeds. 4 gigs of Kingston HyperX DDR2@800mhz ran me about $200...I remember paying that for like 2 gigs of regular DDR@400mhz...STOP CRYING AROUND and being haters! Change is the one that that never changes! MOVE ON!!!!!
Pros: OH YEAH!!!!!! I love this card! Crysis poses NO THREAT to this thing! (graphics maxed) RUNS PERFECT! Im used to a little noise as my case has 5 fans in it (still not very loud btw) so I'm actually doubting I even hear the cooler on this card. I highly recommend this video card!!
Cons: Not a single one as of yet....
Overall Review: I need a second one to run in SLI!!!!!
My set up has 2 250 seagate drives in raid 0, a Q6600 quad core cpu, 4 gigs of kingston hyper x ddr2@800mhz (sli rdy), BadAxe2 motherboard, THIS VID CARD, vista 64 bit home premium and it pretty much ROCKS everything I've thrown at it without a hiccup! Blazingly fast and incredibly stable from one end to the other!
Pros: What is there that's positive that can't be said about this cpu?! It runs like a rabid rabbit on steroids! Nothing gets in it's way! Played Crysis PERFECTLY with graphics completely maxed out!
This thing is FAST and MEAN!!!!!
Cons: I wouldn't really claim is a con but it does run warmer than the old school single core cpu... What do u expect when u pack 4 times the normal amount of technology in about the same size package? Still, runs without a hitch!
Overall Review: I would advise a good aftermarket cooler for this cpu. If nothing else , think of it as investment protection. The cooler it is the safer it is and the longer it will live. I'm using a tall rosewill heat pipe cooler. Nothing too fancy but it keeps thing from catching fire! LOL j/k ...An overpriced over the top cooler is not required here, just something that works better than the stock junk they always send with the cpu's.
Pros: This case is truly prefection! I have found nothing about it that I do not like. The drop down sides are absolutely great. They allow easy access to everything inside. Also, they span shut snug so they do not rattle at all. The tool less set up works like a charm as well. My 8800GTX vid card installed nice and snug so no worries about room there. Also to note, I am using a rosewill heat pipe cooler for my cpu. It's pretty tall and it fits inside with about 2 inches gap left to the side window fan. I LOVE THIS CASE!!!!
Cons: NONE AT ALL!
Overall Review: I highly advise this case for anyone that wants easy access, simple installation and peace of mind in knowing pretty much everything is going to have enough room to fit.
