Overall Review: It booted up normally first try. Had to enable XMP in the BIOS. Got a windows activation message and called ABS support. Was on hold for 10 minutes and then was made to leave a message. Got a call back a few days later but missed it. Windows activated itself somehow anyway.
Got an Asus TUF 3080, it works.
The RGB lighting is a 3 fold task to set up. 1 you use the hardware switch to change the case fan colors. 2 you install ambient LED for the cooler master. 3 you install aura sync for the video card. That's just retarbed but it works...
I HATE the case cover design. It's the same style as those old stupid towers from the 90s and it sucks a5s. Hope the designer on that gets some mental help.
I got ripped off bad. Oh well, I got a 3080.
Pros: Virtual reality is a neat concept and is really fun, when it works.
Cons: - Resolution is not good.
-Performance is an issue
-Support from HTC is really bad
- 1 year limited warranty, customer pays for shipping??
Overall Review: After so many attempts to work with HTC support I am finally completely tired of them 'dropping the ball.' They sent my controller back without repairing it and asked me to pay shipping again to send it back. I'm just going to sell it and never look back... Never sold it though, lots of comp. play, Pavlov, Onward, etc. growing community, don't regret elitist friends I have made.
Pros: This video card was a good purchase for me. I bought it in 2011 and used it a lot. It still works very well. Never had driver issues. I could get about 30 fps on high settings in Arma 3.
Pros: It ran Bioshock really well and was affordable.
Cons: It's obsolete now....
Pros: It makes the surface of the heatsink and cpu extremely clean. Smells nice.
Cons: Kind of hard to get a drop to squeeze out.
Overall Review: I used to use alcohol or acetone. This actually worked better.
Pros: One of the easier coolers to install. My temps went from 32C idle to 25C idle, and from 70C to 55C with prime95. I'd say that is a success.
Cons: I don't like the factory thermal compound. The instructions where a little ambiguous.
Overall Review: I replaced the stock fan with a XIGMATEK FCB and I'm running the fan at 30% speed while the processor idles. It makes my system very quiet.
I used arctic silver 5 with the cleaning kit.
I removed the other fans in my case except the front intake.

Pros: It has individual 8mm jacks for your surround sound outputs on your high-end audio card. There are individual speakers inside the cup for each surround element. Sounds decent overall. The surround quality in games is far superior to virtual surround on stereo headphones. Music sounds good too. Definitely a good value at $100.
Cons: First pair broke where the hinge is after a few months. Free replacement though. Kind of heavy to and not that comfortable to wear.
Overall Review: An interesting headset on the market. There are probably better options, but this one works well for the price.
Pros: Does a really good job of handling multi-tasking and mult-threaded processes. Runs cyberlink power-director very well. Also runs Crysis, Just Cause 2, Skyrim, and RAGE very well when paired with good ram and good video processing.
Cons: Doesn't handle single-threaded processes as well as an i5.
Overall Review: technical reviews indicate the processor is not the best value for the money
Pros: Easy to install and configure. Found the drivers online. Comes with low-profile i/o bracket. Sounds really good in Crysis, Skyrim, Just Cause 2, etc. Movies and music sound good.
Cons: Software is really stupid. Shouldn't have to switch "modes" to get to different features. Doesn't have an easy way to apply effects to line-in or mic for voip and voice chat.
Overall Review: Helps with overall performance, but is somewhat dated compared to the other cards on the market. I would definitely get a newer card if I had the choice.
Pros: Awesome boot times with windows 7 x64
Cons: small drive capacity for a boot device
Overall Review: maybe move the paging file off the drive to free up space if you need it. some paging files get up to 16GB depending on your config.
Pros: Super easy to install and configure on my ASUS 970. Cheap!
Overall Review: 1866 had to be set in the bios
Pros: Fast/Easy installation. Low profile compatible. Wireless N.
Overall Review: Used this too hook up both my PC and xbox. Just bridged the connection on my LAN port and wireless port, then plugged my xbox with a regular ethernet cable (crossover not needed) to the LAN and viola, I saved $60 on my now wireless xbox.
Pros: Its pretty long and not very stiff, which makes it easy to route around other stuff in my entertainment center.
Overall Review: Has anyone seen the moster cable that is going for like $100+?? what a rip!
Pros: Best racing game for PSP
Physics and racing feel real
multiple racing views 1st, dash, close 3rd, 3rd
Custom racing sound tracks load from your music folder
option to copy game data to disk (helps somewhat)
A.I. Is fairly smart.
Cons: No infrastructure multiplayer is a disappointment
Peer-to-peer multiplayer is somewhat glitchy at times and I occasionally lose connection with my friends.
No way to customize your car's parts. Only "quick tune" certain aspects like height, shocks, and tires.
Overall Review: Its a really good game. I bought it from the store when it first came out because I was to excited to wait. Money well spent IMO. If you like racing sims you will love GT.
Pros: Low Price
Sturdy all-metal earphone design
Isolation really works
multiple ear canal pieces (small/large)
Great overall sound highs, mids, lows
Cons: Shipping took 7 days. Item was shipped from a warehouse in NJ then tendered to UPS in TX and finally made it to my house in OK.
Overall Review: When I first put these in I tried to re-produce the cracking sound that other claimed to hear (reviews on newegg), but I was only able to make one poping sound. After that I wore them for about 30-45 minutes and moved them around periodically but I was unable to produce and cracking sounds.
I used them to play gran turismo on the PSP which I immediately noticed everything had a higher fidelity. The cars actually sounded like race cars and I could pick out their different exhaust tones. Cool!
Pros: 1680x1050 This can also be a con which I will get to in a minute.
No dead pixels.
Very cheap when on sale during christmas. $20 off plus free shipping. <3 newegg
22" Screen Size
Sharp Display, better than my Envision.
Built-in speakers are impossible to notice.
Cons: 16:10 display ratio is weird. Some games might not like it. Counter-Strike source wouldn't even start without launch modifiers. But L4D, DOW2, Section 8, red faction guerilla, and borderlands all ran fine.
Doesn't come with DVI Cables. Only VGA. Come on, this is 2010. I think most on-board video is DVI by now anyways.
Stand feels cheap and is awkward to assemble.
Of course the speakers are usless.
Overall Review: I bought two and it's a little intense when you first sit down in front of them. I sit to one side of my desk because of the way its built and it makes it awkward to look at both. I'll probably have to modify my desk, or buy a new one (probably option two).
Pros: Cheap and decent size. SATA 3.0 interface.
Overall Review: I want to buy 3 more and set up raid.
Pros: I upgraded from my 5200+ to this 6000+ and I was surprized at how much of a difference it made.
Cons: none really
Overall Review: I love newegg
Pros: Great ram for the price. Easily overclocked. Sturdy and long lasting.
Cons: This is the second set of 2GB dual channel hyperx memory I have bough in the past 2 years. The first pair had a different heat spreader, and had slighly different markings. However, this new set of ram that I bought only reports speeds of 667. The old pair runs at 800 in the same motherboard. weird??
Anyways, I was able to manually force the dram bus speeds to 800. It is to my understanding that the new pairs of hyperx ram support ddr2 800, but only run at 667, unless you manually change the speed.
Overall Review: I almost just returned the ram, but I was able to make it work.
Pros: Decent size case. It's roughly the same size as an antec 200. Comes with front, rear, and two side fans. Also comes with a spot for another side fan. Nifty tool tray that is hidden under the harddrive bay. Cool green color. Acrylic side panel. Side panels fold out for easy motherboard mounting.
Cons: Very bright LEDs can be hard on the eyes at night. Design of the case makes cable management difficult. Graphics card comes extremely close to harddrives. I had to use the lowest two slots to mount my harddrives or else the graphics card would hit them as I close the side panel.
Overall Review: EXACT SPECS FOR INCLUDED RAIDMAX POWER SUPPLY:
+3.3v = 28A
+5v = 38A
+12v = 22A
-5v = 0.5A
-12v = 0.8A
+5vsb = 2A
4x 4-pin molex
1x 4-pin ATX
1x 20/24-pin ATX
Pros: Supports SATA RAID, AM2/AM2+, and it does what I need it to. Thus far i've had no problems. Bios is good for basic overclocking.
Cons: You cant use the 5th and 6th SATA connectors without turning RAID on in the bios.
Overall Review: I paired this motherboard with the RAIDMAX Smilodon, and everything worked fairly well. There were issues with the location of my graphics card (9800gtx) and the hard drives. But that is an issue with the case, not the motherboard.
Pros: Single 60A rail. Long cords. 4 PCIE. Low cost. Rebate. Comes with nifty zip-ties for cable management.
Cons: Extremely long cords. Another note, all of the cables are shielded with a mesh like tube, and at the end of the tube near the connectors are electrical fittings which are glued in place to keep the wires together. This can make it very hard to bend the ends of the cables to get them to fit under harddrives or between ribbon cables. Keep this in mind if you have a smaller case.
Overall Review: I always get my stuff from NJ. Which takes 2-3 days longer than the warehouse in CA. Not really in my control, or Newegg's, but it still bothers me.
Also, I paid for "rushed processing" for this order. It didn't really help. I've ordered about 5-6 other times and it took the same amount of time to ship them as it would have it I didn't pay the extra $3.
Pros: Let me just say that the 9800GTX is beastly. I am extremely pleased at its performance. I have been testing it for the past 2 hours and I've played Farcry 2, Crysis, Battlefield 2, FEAR 2, and L4D. All of which run flawlessly on MAX settings. Farcry 2 in particular runs at 30-45 fps on ULTRA HIGH. The card also runs very COOL. 55C at load after playing farcry for an hour. 40C ide. This is with a small tower case.
Cons: IT IS HUGE. about 10 inches. Surprisingly I was able to fit it on a Micro ATX board. Just temporarily however, because I wanted to test it.
Overall Review: I wasn't able to test Crysis on very high because I run XP. But high runs very well. My specs are: AMD 5200+, 2G Kingston HyperX ram, and 750W Corsair power supply. All testing was done at 1440X900 Widescreen.
Pros: Great graphics, vast open spaces, plenty of weapons, destuctible environments, tons of vehicles, lengthy gameplay. etc..
There are plenty of reasons why this SHOULD have been a great game, but sadly some of the cons utterly ruined my experience with the game.
Cons: It is impossible to traverse the world map without being under heavy opposition. Enemy outposts only remain clear for an extremely short duration. Which makes completing the campaign an unrelenting challange...
Overall Review: I played the first Farcry and became and instant fan. I'm just glad I didnt have to pay for this one.
THANK YOU NEWEGG for the free gift, I love you guys.
Pros: This is easily the best game of 2008. Its the only coop-zombie shooter i've ever seen that is made well.
Cons: Source engine is getting dated. I showed the game to my buddy the other day and he commented that the graphics looked "old-school".
Granted, they are not the newest, but still look quite nice, and are definately conducive for older systems and laptops.
Overall Review: I would love to see Left 4 Dead 2 made with a newer engine.
I've written two reviews for this game already, but they were never posted...
Why newegg, must you trouble your best customers?
