High praise, and for good reason
Pros: The cloning process was fantastically use friendly, and considerably fast for moving my 360 gigs of games and junk. For people who don't want secondary storage, this is the right choice.
Cons: Only thing I would like is a way to clone FROM the ssd, if you wanted to create a backup drive. Of course this is possible via third party programs, but with the great interface of Samsung's data migration, It would have been nice.
Overall Review: People say that ssds are 10x faster than HDDs. For some tests, yes. For gaming, no. BUT, my computer boots up in a fourth the time than my hdd, and games DO load at a minimum of twice the speed. This is for ssds in general. As for this one in particular, it's a great choice, high credibility, user friendly etc. I give this product the here's approval
The fact that "silent" is in the description is comical.
Pros: Ok so, it has red lights, and it pushes air. It does it's job, therefore it earns 3 eggs.
Cons: Silent... this thing is NOT Silent... This thing is as loud as your classic stand up fan you put in your room when it's hot. The big round ones. I need to get one now that I think about it. I put this fan on a slider and put it on the lowest setting, and it was still 2-3x louder than the fans that my case actually came with when put on full speed. And I'm talking about both front fans against this "silent" fan. If you don't use headphones with the volume up, this thing will drive you crazy.
Overall Review: I have left this fan in a box with everything else I don't use. Once in a while I'll plug it in for a good laugh. Now, don't get me wrong, rosewill is a great brand for the prices they sell for. I would have given this fan 4 eggs since it was so cheap- if they didn't put silent in the description. I was looking for a quiet fan, and I leave my reviews based on 2 things. How well the product does it's job, and how it works compared to how it was advertised. And that's where this product failed.
Solid colors and easy installation-depending on the case. Picking colors can be a Nightmare.
Pros: Great fans, with good static pressure as advertised. The light distributes itself quite evenly through the LED rings, and they are indeed very quiet. The colors do have memory as well, so you don't have to find the color you wanted every time you power up. The stickers are a bit too flashy, but can be easily removed by peeling and a good scrubbing with some isopropyl alcohol. Although NZXT's Aer fans have better colors and have software, these are cheaper and have much better airflow capabilities.
Cons: Certain colors in the spectrum are hard to catch, and others are not really there. I was personally really looking for a Solid UV purple, but in the light phasing the colors go almost straight from white to magenta, with about one second of very tainted true purples. If you are looking for an orange you have about half a second to catch it as the red switches almost immediately to yellow. But yellow to blue takes a good 15-20 seconds, so if you miss the orange or purple you were looking for, you end up waiting for what seems like forever for the colors to cycle through again.
Overall Review: These fans need software. They NEED it. The fans themselves are great, well built, and quiet, and they do offer some vibrant and specific colors. But the lack of control/intuition in picking the colors was enough to take off an egg. Some people have been taking these apart and coding the fans manually for colors they want, but the lack of actual manufacturer's software is frustrating at times. The difficulty in finding that color you really wanted contradicts the purpose of having custom colored fans. If people wanted these for the silence or the performance, there are cheaper versions that have set colors. However this is the ONLY gripe I have with these fans. When you do find that color, it's satisfying and it can really bring the zing to your computer. I am a proud owner of these fans, and would definitely recommend them to those who are willing to sit down for up to 15 minutes to find that color you need.
Perfect mouse for gamers taking it up a step.
Pros: This thing is great. Great enough to where I accidentally bought two but was ok with it because of the price, which makes it a great gift. The option of choosing your color makes this mouse suitable for enthusiasts like me. The weights are great to suit your style. This is an all around great product.
Cons: With products as great as this, I don't want to sound stupid with the regular "none", so instead here's some things this mouse does not have that others do. No thumb pad. It's not ambidextrous(not always a con) no replacement glide pads, and no color shifting profiles. But these aren't in the description, so in the end this mouse delivers.
Overall Review: Good mouse for gamers who are taking a step up with their rig. You start with your first build. Got a decent gpu, an average mouse, a single led keyboard. This is the point where this mouse is great for taking a step up. It's under-priced for the features it has. If you still have a ball mouse, or that one you stole from school(not advised), this is what you, good sir/lady, are looking for.
For the price, this is a real steal
Pros: Having a modular PSU is extremely handy if you have lots and lots of hardware. This PSU is quiet, came with all the chords I needed, and looks nice. The chords were long enough to spread my monster rosewill throne, but not so long that I have excess slack causing bundles and knots. The only thing it needs is some LEDs
Cons: The ONLY problem I encountered, was a lack of molex connectors that I needed. Could maybe use another chord chain or just add one or two more molex's to the chain it gives you. NOT enough to take off an egg.
Overall Review: This thing is cheap, quiet, modular, and has enough wattage to power an SLI build. Honestly, for the price this thing is crazy awesome.
Pain in the mule to install, but that's just typical LQ
Pros: Came with everything promised, and homemade coolant is easy to make (distilled water with antifreeze). Enough tubing to route my monster rosewill throne (for cpu liquid cooling only, need more tubing for GPU blocks if applicable.) Pump is really quiet, no leaks. Would be nice to have customizable colors for the LEDs but either way the white mixes well with anything, and it looks REALLY good, as in it looks like the picture good. CPU stays at recommended temperatures.
Cons: The manual was a disaster. Frustratingly unspecific on how/where to install, and in what order. Guide to installing reservoir pump was actually missing, and I had to look up how to install about half of the system. The hardware is NOT hard to install, but it's a matter of figuring it out. If you don't have access to the internet and it's epic variety of guides, you are in for hours or days of ripping out your hair trying to figure this out.
Overall Review: Although installing the system was a superior pain, it probably would be easier for those who are used to liquid cooling. Like any other review I make, I base my rating on how the product was advertised as to how it performs, and this product delivered. The actual kit itself earns a 5 egg.
Quick fix, no questions asked
I had owned my Rosewill throne for a solid 25 days, and it all worked fantastic, until I installed liquid cooling and plugged my radiator fans into the B fan slider slots. Turned the case on, 4 seconds of silence, and a transistor blew. The area where the transistor was on the B chip was... well it was what you would expect. The A chip had a big scorch mark on it. I contacted rosewill and they responded asking for the invoice. As I requested they recieved proof of purchase and within average shipping time I recieved my new top panel for the case. The support agent was very professional and polite, and the experience was just really really good. Would buy from Rosewill again. And again.
