Pros: I'm very impressed with the performance of this drive. I have not tried to run any kind of benchmarks on it I just base my opinion off real world use. I purposely got this drive because I have a ton of games and just want them all downloaded so I can play any time I want. As I started downloading games to this drive from steam. I noticed it was preallocating games faster than my Samsung 1tb nvme. No joke. I even put gta5 on this 6tb hdd and it was done preallocating faster than it did on my Samsung nvme and with my internet capability and steam I was downloading at 105mbs and it was writing to this drive just as fast. I downloaded 132 games and over 1.5 terabytes of storage used on this drive in about 6 hours. Haven't had any issues with loading up games or load screens in games over all I'm extremely impressed I've never had an hdd of this capacity before but even my 1 and 2tb hdd with 7200 rpms and I forget the chache size still dont compare to this hdd
Cons: It is noisy. When its writing you can hear the heads moving around in the drive. It sounds like an old computer from the 90s starting up lol I did call Toshiba and asked them about it and they said it's fine it's just massive and has more platters and more heads to move around than a 1tb or 2tb
Overall Review: I'm extremely impressed and will get another one if needed in the future
Pros: Easy to install and definitely sped up my laptop. I use it to play games like ark and siege and it works great. Laptop boots alot faster than it did with the 256gig intel nvme that it came with. And downloading games to it from steam I'll hit speeds around 70mbs and it writes it onto this nvme just as fast as it will download it.
Cons: No backing plate. I have noticed a dip in performance when it gets hot. But it's also being used in a laptop that reaches temps of 80 to 90 degrees Celsius. But I turned the graphics quality down from epic to high and I never notice any issues when playing ark or siege. And my cpu and gpu temps stay around 75 to 85 degrees Celsius.
Overall Review: I would recommend this product. Definitely for a boot drive. And maybe file transfers and gaming. More for a desktop than laptop due to cooling issues in a laptop
Pros: great picture quality. 240hz curved, hdr its everything as advertised.
Cons: requires the usb A to usb B chord and the display port or hdmi cable. not a big deal
and comes with all 3 cables.
Overall Review: it took me a few hours to figure out what was wrong I thought I had received a damaged product. I upgraded from a 27 inch curved msi 144hz monitor. but when I got this monitor I set up both monitors side by side at the same time running extended display. and right off the bat I noticed the new 240hz monitors screen was darker a lot darker. the settings through the button on the back were all the same between both monitors so I called msi and talked to their tech department. the guy I spoke to was not really any help but the next day I was able to figure out that I needed to use the usb A to usb B chord as well as the display port cable and there is an app to download. the gaming OSD app. do not look for that app download by selecting this exact monitor on msi website
I had to dig through a few options of monitors to find the app. it works on all msi monitors as far as I know. but the app gives you full control over all the settings in the monitor a whole lot more than ive ever seen on any tv or monitor. I was able to get the screen brightness adjusted through the app you can not adjust brightness through the buttons on the back. and you can even program the app to auto change to different setting depending on which game you load up. over all I am
absolutely blown away with this monitor. I love the 240hz I love the HDR I use nvidia gpu so the freesync is useless for me. I would have got other 27 inch 240hz monitors but after my experience with acer on my laptop I wont go with another acer product and Samsung with gsync has to many reviews saying you have to turn gsync off so I waited and got this. not a simple plug and play but once set up. I personally think this 1080 screen has better picture than my 65 inch lg 4k tv
