USB sound cutting out?

Bose® Companion® 5 multimedia speaker system
Bose® Companion® 5 multimedia speaker system

Pros: Good speakers, bad reviews regarding sound cutting out is most likely USB power saving mode, default on Windows 7 machines.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Please look up how to disable your USB power Management Settings. Alternatively, these simple steps should help: -Right click "Computer" > Manage -Go to "Device Manager" in the window that appears. -Scroll down to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and expand the selection -Right click on the USB port that is hosting your speakers and click "Properties". If you don't know, then go through each, one at a time. -Click on the "Power Management" tab and disable allowing the computer to turn off power to the USB. Voila!

Fine for most

COOLER MASTER Black/Grey 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Laser 5600 dpi CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO G Mouse
COOLER MASTER Black/Grey 8 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Laser 5600 dpi CM Storm Sentinel Z3RO G Mouse

Pros: * On the fly DPI changes at customized levels. * Braided cord * Level of light and color customization is cool.

Cons: * To be honest I had issues with the software crashing and or not uploading properly back to the mouse * Some settings I would set would just reset out of the blue and I'd have to restore saved profiles. * Sometimes saved profiles would no longer load. * Mouse doesn't track on certain surfaces. I had a high end diamond infused track surface which it refused to track on (had to use a piece of cardboard as a mousepad until I bought a different one.)

Overall Review: Overall not as customizable as a RAT5 or RAT7 from Cyborg or the RAZRs, but fine for most applications. Also, the back button doesn't really fit my hand well. I can reach the forward button comfortably, but have to claw the mouse to reach my thumb comfortably to the back button.

Tragic Example of Trash

QNAP TS-563-2G-US Diskless System 5-Bay AMD 64bit x86-based NAS, Quad Core 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 2 x 1GbE, 10G-ready
QNAP TS-563-2G-US Diskless System 5-Bay AMD 64bit x86-based NAS, Quad Core 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 2 x 1GbE, 10G-ready

Pros: - It's a NAS...

Cons: - Complete loss of all data, not due to improper usage, but due to a firmware update that corrupted my encryption key.

Overall Review: I would strongly recommend against this product (or any other QNAP NAS). After two and a half months of troubleshooting with QNAP, all of my family photos, financial documents and other irreplaceable data has been permanently lost. Not because of drive failures, not because of improper usage, but because the encryption key to unlock the device was no longer usable immediately after a firmware update (September 2016 update). My logs show clearly that I unlocked successfully after the August firmware update, but then immediately after the September update (no reboot in between), once booting up, the NAS was no longer able to unlock the drives. This has left me without any of my personal data or usage of the NAS for over three months. QNAP support was slow, arduous and painful to deal with. The techs rarely seemed to fully grasp the situation or the nuance of what was being explained to them. Remote support access to the NAS expired several times before any "developers" in Taiwan even logged in, leading to further delays. The product is built well, but the software/firmware roll outs are not properly tested or vetted prior to release. When dealing with someone's data, this is an unforgivable offense. I am now left to attempt to replace the unit on my own, to see if a different unit will somehow be able to unlock the drives (since the key is stored on the drives themselves.) QNAP refused to RMA the device saying this wouldn't help, but since this is the only repository of my data, I am left with no other choice but to try. Big thumbs down, I'll definitely move to Synology once this is all over. Concernedly, Jonas

Best 1080 out there!

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6286-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0, 08G-P4-6286-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, Double BIOS, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC)

Pros: I used the ASUS and Gigabyte equivalent versions of the custom 1080 and this one is by far the best. - Runs the coolest at maximum settings in Crysis, Overwatch and WoW. - Best framerate and performance with my 144hz gaming monitor.

Cons: - If Newegg ever used this card, they'd know that you don't need a cons section.

Overall Review: - Great stability and build quality.

Fan issues

ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING
ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING

Pros: - Great gaming performance - Really good frame rates and response

Cons: - Under load (in any game) the fan revs up and down constantly, pulsating like a heart beat. I saw this was an issue with the FE cards, but hadn't thought it'd occur in the custom cards. - The sound is like someone sitting in their car, pressing the accelerator from 1,000rpm up to 3-4,000rpm then releasing it a second later, back down to 1,000rpm.

Overall Review: - I'm on the latest Nvidia drivers (fresh installed) as of 7/2/2016. The version is : 368.39, running DirectX 12.0. I have a feeling this may be something with the Nvidia reference or bios, rather than the Asus custom card itself, making it no less frustrating however. I know it's silly, but it actually gives me quite a bit of anxiety hearing the fan constantly going up and down for some reason.

Exceptionally Jaded

MSI GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card N580GTX Lightning Xtreme Edition
MSI GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card N580GTX Lightning Xtreme Edition

Pros: On paper this card is exceptional. Pulls way ahead of the pack and delivers time and time again on benchmarks done by many of the major reviewers out there.

Cons: #1- Arrived DOA #2- Arrived as a USED part. #3- Two LGA 2011 boards and 1 1155 board threw errors with this card plugged in.

Overall Review: I am deeply disappointed with Newegg on this one. Firstly, as another reviewer mentioned, the box arrived with worn and bent corners on the fold out leaf. There was no plastic wrap on the heat sink. The heat sink bezel had screwdriver scratches on it (matte black originally with silver scratches through the paint). Manuals had fingerprints on them. Exceptionally jaded with receiving used merchandise. I am not used to this level of service from what I have viewed as an exceptional company in the past. The customer service remains excellent, I just hope that the back office / warehouse is not slipping. These types of mistakes are simply unacceptable. After purchasing one of the most expensive cards, this was very unexpected. Needless to say, I'll be requesting an RMA. Hopefully they don't send me another used card.

Seller Impression: sub-optimal

Since this is a review of the seller, I won't describe the product issues. I submitted communication to the seller last week on Monday and as of Monday this week I have yet to be contacted about setting up a return of the faulty product.
