Pros: Its a 3090 with half the VRAM
Cons: Very high price
Overall Review: Got this via Newegg Shuffle, and while its hard to justify a $1200 video card, theyre reselling for 2x MSRP on TheBay and elsewhere, so its the cheapest price youre going to find anywhere- do get it if you can.
Its basically a 3090 with half the VRAM, and is definitely overkill for just gaming, unless youre wanting to crank up Cyberpunk settings to Ultra. Coming from a 2060 Super, I can say that its a day/night experience playing games above 1440p resolution with RT enabled- meaning the 2060 cant manage playable FPS, while the 3080 Ti rips through it like its nothing. In other games that arent heavy with FX, reflections, etc., you really wont notice a difference at all, as the 2060 Super handles those easily.
Originally, I was going to turn around and resell it, but here I am playing Mass Effect : Legendary Edition on my new 3080 Ti, instead.
Pros: Bclk set at 100.0 so there’s no trickery going on- which is great. No DOA, no bent pins. Also, the pin outs for PWR, RESET, etc. is shown right there in the insert that comes with the board- no need to search online for any manual.
Cons: Still comes with a CD or DVD, so no good if you don’t have an optical drive.
Overall Review: Get your money’s worth, and unlike some mfg MSI doesn’t seem to stealth OC their boards.
Pros: -Super quiet- you’d have to check to se if it’s even running
- OC out of the box (1695 MHz vs 1650 Founders)
- 3 Displayport (Founders has 2)
- 2 fan non-blower style
- Metal back plate
- Metro Exodus with RT and DLSS on high @ 1440p, no stutter (Note: You can’t use DLSS with HDR, or the screen gets completely washed out. Cannot run max settings @ 3840x2160)
- Control on max settings @1440p w/ w/out DLSS, on no stutter (cannot run max settings @ 3840x2160)
- All other games max settings no stutter
$30 Rebate (limited time), so that brings it down neck and neck with Nvidia Founders Ed. version.
Cons: Godzilla sized card (270 mm vs 229 mm Founders). Don’t even consider for smaller than mid-tower cases. Also no go if you you need to fit other cards into slots beneath it, as it’s a tall card and cuts off a decent amount of space. Similarly, it’s a long card but, thankfully, the power connectors are on the side and not rear like the Founders edition version.
Pros: Super capacity. SATA2 to replace my old 250gb IDE (yikes). No click or DOA issues. Worked fine and packed fine.
Overall Review: Only order OEM hardware if you already have all the cables required to hook up your device bforehand, because OEM comes with none.
Pros: Ok wow. Upgraded from e2180 OC to 2.93 to this bad boy 2.8 , 3 mb cache, OC to 3.4 without trying to push it and it's only at 35 c (albeit, w/arctic freezer) and system responsiveness is noticably improved.
Cons: You're kidding, right?
Pros: Super quiet- can't even tell it's running. Have to check if it's ON...that's how quiet.
Pros: Very good, no incompatability junk and no having to mess with bios settings to get the system to run using this, unlike my previous accidental purchase of garbage Corsair 2 x 1GB for over 40$ minus a totally false $30 rebate which was for more like $13.
Overall Review: If you're looking at huge mail in rebates on a memory "deal" here, you should be careful that you're able to RMA-refund the item(s) and not just exchange because they will only give you a new one of the SAME incompatable part and you're out of luck.
Cons: False 30$ rebate comes up as $13 on Corsair site. These freeze my computer every time. Computer fine after I removed them. Way overpriced for 2gb. Sad latency.
These CANNOT be RMA'd for a refund!
Overall Review: Do yourself a favor and pass these things up! You will regret not taking my advice. What utter junk.
Cons: Corsair pre regiatration for rebate indicates a $13 rebate while newegg claims it's for $30.
The computer freezes up in a few minutes after this is installed, and is normal again after I removed it. This freeze in consistent as long as this memory is installed. It is DDR 2 800mhz like my other ram, so it's not a frequency issue as my board can use 1066 mhz ram.
I actually ordered this by accident, but there was no cancelling the order by the time I figured out what I did.
This ram does not work at all for me and be warned, there is NO rma refund option if you buy this and you run into the same.
Pros: Very nice looking part. No noticable noise increase. Plastic push clips not hard to push in, but must remove mainboard to install it.
Pros: Works- never had a DOA from newegg in all my years. Got it as a xmas present.
Cons: OEM, and no instructions for hook up (as all OEMs)so you have to have existing cables or know someone who knows how to install hardware.
Pros: 1GB; plays all new games on highest settings no problem at all. NO heat issues, and NO loud noise.
Cons: GDDR2 only. No 64 bit vista drivers on ati site (had to dl the hotfix).
Pros: Good card picked up as replacement for geforce fx 5500. No issues with it at all; new games now playable with high settings awaiting Guild Wars 2.
Cons: Shader model 3 and dx 9 only.
Pros: Low, lowwwwwwwww price.
Overall Review: People who install it might think it isn't working because it isn't being recognized, but that's a mistake. You have to right click on MY COMPUTER, select MANAGE, then go to DISK MANAGEMENT and INITIALIZE the drive....then format it.
If you do this, it will be recognized and will work.
Pros: Fantastic. I overclocked this thing minorly- to 2.3 ghz using setfsb, still using the stock heat sink/fan. I have an Intel 965 board so I can't adjust voltages in the bios but I can imagine what I could get it up to if I had a good OC board.
I'm now playing Crysis on all high settings (except shadows and no aa) and there's not even a stutter.
My After Effects CS3 and 3ds Max renders are noticably faster as well. My last cpu was a 3.2 p4 with 2mb l2 cache, and this e2180 smashes it even with half the cache.
Cons: I have a non-overclocking motherboard so I think I'm not getting all I can out of it.
Overall Review: Can't beat for the price by any means. I heard this thing can get to 3 ghz or more with a good board and cooling, so that's the next step.
Pros: Great. Cheap. Now have to get another because my board needs to run in dual channel mode otherwise the unmatching ddr2 667 mhz ram stick results is terrible choppy performance of OS and esp. my Two Worlds game! It was really unplayable with my 6GB (2 in dual channel, 2 not), but i removed the unmatched 1gb stick and now have 5gb installed and all is well.
Pros: I ordered this laptop memory yesterday afternoon- by 4pm (EST) today it was at my door.
Overall Review: Fastest I ever got an order- I was expecting it to get here on saturday.
