Most Favorable Review

a great laptop @ a great price

GIGABYTE - 17.3" GeForce GTX 1070 - Intel Core i7-6700HQ - 16GB Memory - 512 GB SSD - Windows 10 Home 64-Bit - Gaming Laptop - IPS (P57Xv6-PC4D )
GIGABYTE - 17.3" GeForce GTX 1070 - Intel Core i7-6700HQ - 16GB Memory - 512 GB SSD - Windows 10 Home 64-Bit - Gaming Laptop - IPS (P57Xv6-PC4D )

Pros: the machine has run everything i have thrown @ it, and @ top settings, Rift, Arch Age, Everquest & Everquest2 & World of Warcraft. It boots up very quickly & even recovers from sleep quickly. For me this is the best laptop i have ever owned.

Cons: none that i would call a con, it does generate heat, however what do you expect when playing games @ max settings for 2 + hours @ a time. havent had any of the failures others have reported.

Overall Review: if you have the means to get one, get one, you wont be disappointed

Most Critical Review

not as advertised

ASUS M4N75TD AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4N75TD AM3 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: easy to setup, as normal ASUS products are top notch.

Cons: this is why only 2 eggs...Newegg website makes it look as if it is x16 if you only run one PCIe card, and even on ASUS website makes it sound like that. However that is not the case, when i got the mainboard & looked at the manual, there was an updated page in the front. it stated that BOTH PCIe slots are x8, no matter if you run ONE card or 2. This is very disappointing to what is a very solid board & has lots of features most overclockers want.

Overall Review: mainboard should have been at least x16 for one card. And no, it is x8, i looked through nVidia's own tools that are loaded when you install the video driver and it shows it as x8.

Pleasantly surprised by this PSU (made by FSP)

ASRock Phantom Gaming PG-1600G 1600W 80 PLUS GOLD & Cybenetics PLATINUM Full Modular Power Supply, ATX3.1 & PCIe5.1 Ready with Dual Color 12V-2x6 Cables(2pcs), 10 Years Warranty
ASRock Phantom Gaming PG-1600G 1600W 80 PLUS GOLD & Cybenetics PLATINUM Full Modular Power Supply, ATX3.1 & PCIe5.1 Ready with Dual Color 12V-2x6 Cables(2pcs), 10 Years Warranty

Pros: Great looking product Quiet Operation Large amount of connections & 2 native 12v high power cables (with temp probe attached) Cables are robust, mostly 14 AWG & even tho large diameter, the cables are very flexible Nice assortment of included installation hardware (Velcro straps, cable combs etc) At the time I purchased it, was an amazing price $375 USD, for a 1600W A+ tier rated PSU & even tho the company rated it as a 80 plus Gold, it is Cybenetics Platinum rated on power side & A rated on the noise side of things

Cons: These items I will list arent really cons to me; however, are things some users will want to keep in mind when using this PSU. The size of PSU may not fit some mid-tower cases, so need to check fitment of the main part of the PSU, next is the motherboard power cable, the end you will be plugging into the motherboard, the cable is very flexible, however they have zip tied the cable & then put heat shrink over that, it looks nice, however if you have limited room to feed the cable thru, this may cause an issue, due to the way it is put together. The next issue is the 12v high power cable. It is made very well, has 14 AWG wire used (which should resolve wattage/amperage concerns), however they have again used heavy heat shrink near the connector, which is fine, this gives it even more rigidity, however your bend of the cable now may impact the side panel of your computer case, so make sure you will have room to account for this extra height that will be added to your overall GPU height (unless you are vertically mounting the GPU or if your GPU uses 8 pin connectors). Again, to me, none of the listed items are cons, but things others need to know before purchasing the product.

Overall Review: I purposely waited over 10 days to write a review on this product, due to a SeaSonic TX-1600W PSU died with a pop & felt fortunate enough that none of my other equipment connected was damaged (as far as I can tell). I returned that PSU to Newegg & they were great & credited back my purchase promptly. I have been a fan of SeaSonic, however that experience turned me away that was the first time I had ever experienced that kind of problem, & I have bought cheap PSUs in the past & they always worked with no issues. I do not do any kind of extreme over clocking of the GPU or CPU, so that cant be the issue on this case. This ASRock 1600W PSU has been working great from the start & now past the 10 day mark & it is still working flawlessly. The OEM for this PSU is FSP, I am not saying I dont believe this information, however everything from how the cables connect to the PSU (the direction the connector is placed), the cables & quality of construction is identical to SeaSonic. So, either this is a copy of many things SeaSonic does or just a coincidence. If you can still get this 1600W PSU for the $375 USD price I got it for, then I would tell anyone to get one, because it is forward facing & will last a long time, there is no such thing as future proofing on ANYTHING. Currently this PSU is not listed on NewEggs website, so dont know what is going on there, because usually if they are out of stock, it just says that, but this particular PSU is just not present, hopefully it shows back up at the same price or lower, because for now it is a great deal & has been working great from me. I will update this review if it fails like the SeaSonic one did. Another awesome ASUS product

ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 24GB GDDR6X, HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4a) TUF-RTX4090-O24G-GAMING
ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 24GB GDDR6X, HDMI 2.1a, DisplayPort 1.4a) TUF-RTX4090-O24G-GAMING

Pros: Looks great, like most other 4090s out there, it has a MASSIVE heat sink & seems to keep the GPU, memory & VRMs cool It is completely unlocked bios, you can allow the card to pull the max power for 4090s, so yes you can allow it to run at 600 watts. Back to the looks, it has a completely aluminum outer fan shroud, nice metal back plate with a flow thru area to allow for more cooling. I know there are early benchmarks showing the memory can run warmer than some other cards, but nothing out of the ordinary. Since this is a mainstream model & also the manufacturer is also seen this way, there are many good water blocks you can buy & go fully water cooled & have super low temps under load.

Cons: People are saying price as a con. I would say at this products launch & during the time right before the China ban for the 4090s, the price was definitely too high. However now that we are coming closer to the launch of the next generation, the card is roughly $150 over the Founder Edition, & honestly, I feel this card looks better & operation wise as good or better than most other options currently available.

Overall Review: This card is an absolute beast! As with all my past ASUS parts, I just put together & it just works. I re-downloaded MSI Afterburner & setup my own fan profiles, also allowed the card to pull max power & max core voltage if it needs. I also have a solid 2970mhz over clock on the GPU core (default is like 2600mhz or something) & 1537mhz on memory (default is like 1312mhz). The card has been stable from day one, & yes, I use Armory Crate software. I had the software look for updates, ran said updates & everything is recognized by the system, so I have the aRGB matching the rest of the build. A side note for those who wont use Armory Crate or are scared to, you dont have to have the software running at all times. Set everything up, lights, fan curves etc, then just close it & unless you change something, every time you turn on the computer your settings are there. There is no need to launch & run Armory Crate unless there are updates or if you are wanting to change/adjust the lighting. I have my power slider on MSI Afterburner at 133% & core voltage slider at 100%, which gives you 600 watts for total board draw & 1.070 volts for max to the core. It does come with a GPU stand to help with GPU sag, however its probably best that you vertical mount the GPU to avoid any damage to the card or motherboard, this card is VERY heavy. I am playing games at 4k HDR 120hz on an OLED panel & the card is just outstanding & works well, I highly recommend this card, so if you can afford it, dont wait & get yourself one! I will give Newegg props on my purchase, I used their trade in program, and received $1500 for my trade in (yes it was a fully water-cooled Gigabyte 4090) for this model & couldnt be happier, so if anyone is wondering if the system works, it sure seems to. On the subject of ASUS, no I am not a shill, Im not getting paid for this review. Im not saying they havent built bad stuff or there hasnt been shady things happen, however if you will look at the whole industry, unfortunately its industry wide. I have used ASUS products for over 15yrs, & what I can say is that it has just always worked & if there was a problem, it was because of me & I plugged something in wrong or didnt have settings done correctly. Again, lemons are always possible in a mass-produced product, however I havent had an issue yet & hope it continues to remain this way. Awesome first time experience

EK Nucleus AIO CR360 Lux D-RGB 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler with EK FPT 120mm Fans - Compatible with latest Intel and AMD CPU sockets - LGA 1700 and AM5
EK Nucleus AIO CR360 Lux D-RGB 360mm AIO Liquid CPU Cooler with EK FPT 120mm Fans - Compatible with latest Intel and AMD CPU sockets - LGA 1700 and AM5

Pros: Great packaging & quality of hardware Easy to setup & use Not a lot of cables to manage EK fans have daisy chained proprietary connections, however terminate to a normal 4 pin PWN connection & aRGB connection Radiator is nicely done, and looks & feels premium

Cons: No cons as for what you are given, everything just works & works well.

Overall Review: This is one of the best AIOs I have used, in terms of setup & cooling capabilities. The main thing I would like to see is an option to buy this setup without their fans. That would also lower the price of the product (or should at least). Not that this AIO is really that expensive, there are many others that don't do as well & cost much more. I would highly recommend this to anyone that likes a simple & straightforward setup & likes tasteful RGB lighting, & of course the most important thing is the cooling capabilities of this AIO.

another great EVGA product

EVGA GeForce GTX 950 02G-P4-2958-KR 2GB FTW GAMING, Silent Cooling Gaming Graphics Card
EVGA GeForce GTX 950 02G-P4-2958-KR 2GB FTW GAMING, Silent Cooling Gaming Graphics Card

Pros: easy setup, easy to use software. runs fairly quiet, doest put out a lot of heat, and not power hungry. Playing EQ, EQ2 & WoW at max settings, & not slowing the 2 GTX 950s i bought to run in SLI.

Cons: none, did burn on them, had them run 24hrs straight no crashes or blue screens of death

Overall Review: i have run EVGA products for many years & havent had any failures or other difficulties. 2 of these were $280, so you cant beat that price for a SLI setup. If you have the money, buy them, you wont regret it

poor delivery time

I paid $15 for shipping to receive the item in 2 business days. The seller chose to use USPS (snail mail), and the item took 4-5 business days to arrive. This is why I only buy items sold by and shipped by Newegg, because at least if they drop the ball, they will refund your money & still get it the next day, not 5 days later.

Great first purchase

As of currently, I definately would recommend this vender as a point of purchase. I paid extra for fast delivery & it received it within that window, and the product is as described. I put it in my current system and works as intended.

Poor service, great product so far

Because of this seller, I won’t purchase from Newegg unless the item says sold & shipped by Newegg. The seller used the slowest way to send the package, I order a motherboard on the same order & only difference was it was handled thru Newegg & I received it ahead of time. Both packages were done with free shipping, however Newegg chose to ship it to me the normal way thru regular UPS. Also said item wasn’t a retail item, it appeared to be an OEM item, this is not what I wanted, & no where in their listing on Newegg did it say it was an OEM part, I am hoping that it is brand new as you can’t tell if it is or not. My advice is to stay far away from this seller.
