Game time!9/11/2021 10:58:36 AM

Pros: very fast and easy, nice price to extend my game time

Cons: none

Overall Review: I would definitely purchase again, and especially if on sale again. I read of people having issues, however I have purchased many items from Newegg as "E" items and so far have always received what I purchased & quickly, like within 5mins or less.

Great Gigabyte product7/25/2021 7:34:45 AM

Pros: Great price (for what you get) Fast response times, 144hz = smoothness Built very good, looks & feels like great build quality, & I feel there's great attention to detail. I happen to like how the monitor is designed front & back. It comes with a remote control, this is a super awesome deal, because now all I have to do is hit the power button on the remote & it's off or on. I also liked the thought process they took on how they laid out the rear connections. The power cord plugs in on the left side of monitor when you are facing the front & all computer/display connections are on right side while facing the monitor. Power cord long enough to plug into my battery backup without major re-routing or using extension cords. Worked flawlessly right out of the box, included Display Port 1.4 cable (which seemed of very good build quality), HDMI 2.1 cable (which seemed of very good build quality), 3 different power cord options for other countries. Update I have purchased a EVGA 3080ti Hybrid XC3 Ultra gaming card, & this thing is a beast and now running 120hz at 4K & all settings max'd (supposedly 120hz is true 4K) with the included HDMI cable, have had no issues with using this monitor at this higher setting, will come back to edit review if something negative happens.

Cons: So far no con's I could think of; of course you will read/hear about people complaining about the cost, however I feel its a very good deal, also a very good deal because of what you get & while there's always a chance for lemons due to mass production, mine has been great.

Overall Review: I actual got the cart before the horse on this purchase. I have found out that to run at 4K @ 144hz (or even 120hz) with all the settings set to maximum, I will need a 3090, however since that will not be happening anytime soon due to the current situation with graphics cards, my two 1080ti's will have to do, & they will run 4K max'd out settings at 60hz & its simply beautiful & since I mostly play MMO's (Final Fantasy XIV), it runs smoothly with all settings max'd out and at 60hz. I haven't had any bad pixels (if there are some I guess I can't see them), no weird burning on the screen edges or getting hot, as I have read from others reviews. Again, this is a mass produced item, there will be bad ones, I just hope that Gigabyte remains a good company and replaces the bad ones that got thru the screening process at the factory. I would suggest this monitor to anyone, if anything happens, I will come back and update my review. As a side note, you will most likely need to turn down the brightness, this thing is really bright, that being said, it has beautiful colors and runs great. Also another note, it isn't G-Sync compatible, my Nvidia control panel says as much & I seen an increase to smoothness without trying to force G-Sync on the monitor. UPDATE: I have tried using G-sync again, and with the new EVGA 3080ti I have now it actually does smooth out the graphics & they aren't as jerky, maybe with the 1080ti's I was using they weren't able to push the envelope as much as the 3080ti? However I will say it will definitely help having G-sync on with the newer cards. Great Soundblaster product7/5/2021 6:52:56 AM

Pros: Easy to install, Window 10 Pro, downloaded most current driver and basically was ready to go, however if you wanted all the cool stuff too, you had to download the other software to take advantage of its other capabilities. Once I got everything installed and working together, there is a definite sound quality and sound boost over the built in sound on my motherboard. I truly felt like games and music were new, like it was the first time hearing it. I hear a lot more sounds in games I never heard before & music is completely different, more vibrant and life like.

Cons: none

Overall Review: You cant count tweaking the software and getting it all dialed in as a con. I know you will have to make adjustments & some of the capabilities aren't for everyone. I didn't use a lot of the items they said would make everything sound better. I went in and setup the equalizer the way I like, and everything just seemed to come alive. There's a lot more volume & the sound control is awesome, I have played it very loud and there was no distortion or any crackling sounds. It comes with an LED strip and needed cables to attach it to the card, however you will need to plug in the 4 pin molex (old school connector) to the card if you want to run said LED strip. I don't want the strip connected, so a non-issue for me, however may be a drag for others. You can also customize the colors on the card itself with the SoundBlaster software. It wasn't hard to get the needed software, just a bit of pain to go thru the website to download the software, which once you find it and download it; its all good from there. Just be patient when setting it up, took a little bit to get it dialed in & then it was simply awesome. A great AIO CPU water cooling setup from Corsair6/21/2020 5:35:42 AM

Pros: Looks awesome Customizable LEDs, fan profile & water pump profile Easy setup Plenty of options for other CPUs (even has 2 different brackets for AMD Threadrippers) Great cooling capability

Cons: My only issue is with how they promote the product, it makes you think that it comes with LED capable fans, which it doesn’t. You can always add LED capable fans, which I did, bought Corsair’s LL series fan kit which has all necessary pieces to have LED fans.

Overall Review: I added Corsair’s LL series LED fans, & used the magnetic lev fans on the back side of the radiator in a push/pull setup. I overclocked an intel i7 6950X, from 3ghz to 4ghz & the temps it’s reporting is from 30 degrees C to 38 degrees C while under load, to me this is awesome, there’s plenty of room so I shouldn’t hurt the equipment with heat. Again I would highly recommend My build: Thermaltake RGB 71 view ROG Rampage Extreme V x99 Intel i7 6950X overclocked to 4ghz GSkill Trident Z 3000mhz 64 gigs ram 14-14-14-34 1T F4-3000C14Q-64GTZ, running in Quad channel mode Corsair H150i PRO XT Dual MSI 980 TI’s Cooler master 1000 watt PSU WD 750 PCIe NVMe 1TB

Another great drive from WD6/21/2020 5:27:03 AM

Pros: Fast Great price Plugged it in & has worked from day one

Cons: None that I can find

Overall Review: This is my first WD SSD, & so far it’s been just as good as my spiny spin drives, & I have mechanical hard drive WD black still going after 7 years. I don’t think it’s as fast as my Samsung 970 EVO, however it’s close. I just plugged it in , motherboard seen it, didn’t have to do anything else & it’s just worked flawlessly since day one. Their drive software isn’t as good as Samsung, however it’s pretty good, overall I highly recommend My build: Thermaltake RGB 71 view ROG Rampage Extreme V x99 Intel i7 6950X overclocked to 4ghz GSkill Trident Z 3000mhz 64 gigs ram 14-14-14-34 1T F4-3000C14Q-64GTZ, running in Quad channel mode Corsair H150i PRO XT Dual MSI 980 TI’s Cooler master 1000 watt PSU WD 750 PCIe NVMe 1TB

ASUS epicness6/2/2020 5:06:00 PM

Pros: for me, this board has it all and more. many SATA 6Gb connectors, USB 3.0, able to run ATI or nVidia cards and can run quad SLI with an adaptor. all the ASUS baords i have bought they have always been good, this one is the best one yet. it has alot of heavy duty parts built in like the sabertooth, but has awesome overclocking capabilities. Also it looks awesome too, that always helps

Cons: there are a few cons. First off since the board is still fairly new, and new technology, getting SLI to work takes abit to get it going. also i had to load the latest bios file, mine came with old one loaded. another problem, i cant seem to get the ASUS utilities loaded, its not just me, you can google it on the net, and there are MANY that are having the same issue. i downloaded the latest files even from ASUS website to no avail. so i guess i am waiting for this problem to be resolved.

Overall Review: this has been an awesome build, internet is fast now, the computer over all faster then a recent intel build i did. AMD still rules!

Pros: Nice metal case Modern looking Fast for a mechanical external hard drive WD quality Great value for the price

Cons: None

Overall Review: It’s an outstanding product for the price, very fast considering it’s an external mechanical hard drive, all the WD devices I have owned has been great, this ones no exception, does what I need it to do & does it fast

Asus awesomeness8/17/2019 6:17:54 AM

Pros: Build quality Bios is laid out nicely & plenty of options RGB is nice on the board, I feel it’s not over done & you can turn it completely off if you don’t like that sort of thing It has plenty of usb options & even some of the newer tech OLED screen on the rear I/O housing, which gives you POST information & once booted up gives you the processor’s average temp

Cons: I know many will put down price as a con, however with this product you get what you pay for, I tried a lesser product, because of lower cost & they are known for making very good graphics cards, however I ended up sending that board back due to a bad cpu socket or the ram sockets to the right of cpu socket, or a combination of both. On that failed board I tried different memory & different cpu & no change, still crashing @ windows.

Overall Review: Overall I feel this is a stellar product, well build & easy to use, booted up first time & ran without any issues from the start, I should have never deviated from my normal & found that cheaper isn’t always better, as good as this product is tho, I have found that you will need to turn off the other Ethernet port & WiFi if you want to install windows correctly & also leave them off otherwise I have found it causes conflicts with whatever internet option you choose to use, for me this is a nonissue because I use a hard line connection & want to use the intel networking adapter My build: Thermaltake 71 view case ASUS Rampage VI Extreme Omega Intel core i9 9900X cpu overclocked to 4.5 ghz G.Skill 64 gig set - Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C14Q-64GTZR EVGA SC2 1080 Ti x2 w/ HB bridge Corsair H150i pro 360mm water cooler w/ 6 LL series fans setup as push/pull on radiator @ front of case EVGA Super nova 1300 watt gold completely modular PSU Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 Razer Naga trinity Logitech 5.1 sound speaker system Samsung 32” QLED monitor C32HG70

Awesome memory7/29/2019 3:36:14 PM

Pros: I have used many different manufacturers of ram over the years, Muskin, Kingston, a lot of no brand stuff & awhile back i switched to G.Skill & havent looked back. These modules in the kit seem to be some of the best i have gotten yet. They came in flawless condition, also with a badge for your case if you needed one, easy to install & setup in bios like a charm, no weird errors or anything, the XMP profile setup up in bios perfectly even set the voltages for the ram, that surprised me due to most of the time it takes some tweaking to get the memory to behave correctly. These gave no troubles & it booted up flawlessly & havent had any problems.

Cons: none, I dont feel anyone should complain about the price, for what you get, & they're Samsung sourced modules

Overall Review: I would highly recommend these to anyone, however make sure to go to G.Skill's website & look up to see if they tested this kit to work in the motherboard you are buying or currently using. Not saying it wouldnt work, it will help you with avoiding possible incompatibility issues later. good ideas, poor execution7/20/2019 6:23:00 AM

Pros: good looking board nice lay out liked the RGB lighting on the board bios was different, but in a good way Is 2 slot spacing for video cards (80mm) so I didnt need a new HB bridge

Cons: Very bad I feel when you have your customers assembling the product they just bought, unfortunately to me this screams cheap. I feel there just may be not enough knowledge of building mother boards on their side of things & poor quality control possibly. I purchased this board because of their video cards and I havent ever once had an issue with a video card they have produced. I believe this had the potential to be a game changer and to have an upscale board at a decent price, however what I received was a product that seemed to be half baked, and from searching the internet they had issues with past boards as well, I am thinking they need more time and maybe a team that all they do is design & build motherboards.

Overall Review: I really liked how the board is designed & laid out, has nice features, & i like how they setup the bios, and generally speaking this brand for me has always meant quality & their products just work. This time I wasnt so lucky, and i just dont think they have been making boards long enough or maybe just dont have the right people to help them develop the products in a higher standard & always bad & seems cheap to have your customers assemble the mother board. In the end I had to return the board due to either a bad CPU socket or DRAM slots on the right side. I tested other known good ram & CPU and i would come up with the same problem of crashing while just trying to run windows & even worse when trying to play games. I found if I removed memory from the right side I could run windows perfectly fine or run games with no issues @ max settings of said games. Since we all want what we pay for, I returned the board and will just follow my own advice and use mother boards I have used for years from another manufacturer

Asus makes awesome boards, however bad customer service1/4/2019 11:04:09 AM

Pros: As with all Asus boards i have ever bought, this one is no different, flawless from the start. Able to make my setting changes easily & there hasn't been any issues since start up. This board has so many options and utilities in it, like having it optimize your fans for you for one example. it has been rock solid from day one of start up.

Cons: As for the board, there are no cons, i think its still a bit expensive, however you get what you pay for, & this board is beautiful as well as well built. The con comes in on the "FREE" game COD BO4, i have done everything Asus has asked, & their system says my serial # is bad. I have called them & verified it is good, however the agent can't help me & i am back to waiting for an email reponse, i got one & that's it, no other responses. Very disappointed in Asus for this, & hope they fix the issue.

Overall Review: its a beautiful board & wondrous piece of tech, i would recommend it to anyone & be prepared if you dont get the "FREE" stuff as promised, again for me its the principal of it, you offered the free game, & i still dont have it. my build: Thermaltake 71 view case Corsair H150i PRO (with 6 RGB Corsair LL120 fans for a push/pull system) Intel 5960x Asus Rampage V edition 10 64gigs of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3000mhz ram 14-14-14-34-1ws dual EVGA GTX 980ti's EVGA 1300w PSU Sound Blaster XFI card

Complete epicness!12/28/2018 11:35:14 AM

Pros: this thing is just beautiful, has glass panels on every side except the back. Very easy to disassemble & customize. I bought 3 RGB 120mm Thermaltake fans for the front panel, & even added a 120mm fan to bottom of case. It has several dust screens to keep that unwanted dust/dirt out. There is massive amounts of room, so if you like tower coolers for your CPU, & large video cards, then this case is for you & has awesome air flow to boot!

Cons: The glass makes it very heavy, granted you can remove it (which i suggest) when you are building, it makes it a lot lighter. Also dont like how Thermaltake does their lighting, you must use these little controler boxes if you want the RGB part & i havent found any other way to adjust the lighting to get more effects out of it

Overall Review: I would highly recommend this product to anyone, i feel they need to change how their lighting works, due to many main boards today can/will control this aspect of the modern computer, however its still a great case & a total win for me! my build: Thermaltake 71 view case Corsair H150i PRO (with 6 RGB Corsair LL120 fans for a push/pull system) Intel 5960x Asus Rampage V edition 10 64gigs of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3000mhz ram 14-14-14-34-1ws dual EVGA GTX 980ti's EVGA 1300w PSU Sound Blaster XFI card

A complete win for me!12/28/2018 11:25:09 AM

Pros: Its been an awesome product, flawless from start, only hickups was of me (didnt plug in stuff, oops) I feel the design is awesome, & with the optional RGB LL120mm fan kit, the iCue software & Corsair link software makes it even better! you are able to tell the system how you want it to run, silent, quiet, balanced, extreme or off. able to fully customize how your lights work or turn them off! its awesome the best looking build i have done yet.

Cons: I dont like Corsair's documentation, i have been building computers for over 20 years, & i always read everything so i am prepared for the install. However their documentation is very lacking, gives little information, granted i got it working & its awesome & everything, however there was a learning curve, for me i feel they say here you go, have fun figuring it out! other then the lack of information, its an awesome product!

Overall Review: Great product, would recommend to anyone & if you're not one of those that want to massively over clock your system, this thing is great & has many options that you can customize, again though the documentation that comes with product is bad & needs to be updated. my build: Thermaltake 71 view case Corsair H150i PRO (with 6 RGB Corsair LL120 fans for a push/pull system) Intel 5960x Asus Rampage V edition 10 64gigs of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3000mhz ram 14-14-14-34-1ws dual EVGA GTX 980ti's EVGA 1300w PSU Sound Blaster XFI card

Awesome SSD12/28/2018 11:06:25 AM

Pros: its amazing that its 1 TB seeing that its really small. Completely flawless install & has worked since day one. I usually have to tweek settings in BIOS, however it wasnt the case, the system recognized it from start. Installed Windows 10 without a hitch (was scared). Its speed performance is awesome, has made life easy & i thought my old SATA SSD was fast, didnt think it could get better!

Cons: none! cant say price, cuz sometimes you get what you pay for.

Overall Review: i have been using the system since Christmas & havent encountered one problem with this drive, would recommend to anyone! my build: Thermaltake 71 view case Corsair H150i PRO (with 6 RGB Corsair LL120 fans for a push/pull system) Intel 5960x Asus Rampage V edition 10 64gigs of G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 3000mhz ram 14-14-14-34-1ws dual EVGA GTX 980ti's EVGA 1300w PSU Sound Blaster XFI card

another great EVGA product11/13/2016 5:19:02 PM

Pros: easy setup, easy to use software. runs fairly quiet, doest put out a lot of heat, and not power hungry. Playing EQ, EQ2 & WoW at max settings, & not slowing the 2 GTX 950s i bought to run in SLI.

Cons: none, did burn on them, had them run 24hrs straight no crashes or blue screens of death

Overall Review: i have run EVGA products for many years & havent had any failures or other difficulties. 2 of these were $280, so you cant beat that price for a SLI setup. If you have the money, buy them, you wont regret it

Pros: the machine has run everything i have thrown @ it, and @ top settings, Rift, Arch Age, Everquest & Everquest2 & World of Warcraft. It boots up very quickly & even recovers from sleep quickly. For me this is the best laptop i have ever owned.

Cons: none that i would call a con, it does generate heat, however what do you expect when playing games @ max settings for 2 + hours @ a time. havent had any of the failures others have reported.

Another Great processor from AMD9/3/2016 6:47:16 AM

Pros: Has worked flawlessly from day one. Hasn't been any issues, didn't even need to up date mainboard. This is used in a computer that mainly is used for gaming & some school work. Performance is great, system boots up in about 9 sec or less. The Wraith cooler is very nice, clears ram sockets & processor stays around 58 F & under load around 85F, usually less, depends on what game is being played & how many side windows are open (usually a lot of background processes going on while playing graphic intensive games).

Cons: none that I know of, has been flawless since start up

Very good product & solid8/22/2016 11:31:13 AM

Pros: good layout on the board for what i am using. Installed a new AMD FX 8370 with the wraith cooler. The cooler is bigger then stock one, however didnt block anything (ram, video cards, drive bays, etc). I have used AMD & ASUS for many years (20+), as these boards have evolved theres been massive improvement in the cmos(bois) area of the boards. This model is designed a little different then my ROG board for my Intel 5960x, it has a dumbed down login area first. At first this kinda upset me cuz i am like wheres the bios? Then i realize this was done so people just getting into building could at least get one up & running with bare minimum settings. theres an advanced tab, pressed that & the items i was used to seeing appeared. It setup flawlessly once i learned what settings i needed to run my memory @ its stated timings. Windows 8.1 went in & completely installed in like 10 mins or less pretty much could play whatever i wanted it was ready to go.

Cons: not really a fan of dumbing down things, i do have a certification in computers, however technology is always evolving so you are constantly learning new things. other then that, the hardware is flawless & cheaper then other boards offering similar features

Cons: Instructions are very poor on assembly. If you are mechanically inclined, you will figure it out. Instructions for cart is non-exsistant, used picture of machine assembled to complete the assembly

Overall Review: Great machine, does its job well, everyone enjoys the popcorn

Awesome keyboard7/20/2015 6:12:13 PM

Pros: This is my second purchase of this keyboard, it's great if you want to use it in low light situations, it's backlit & also adjustable on the level of lighting

Cons: None

Overall Review: Have used this model for over a year, it's best of the best I feel. It's rechargeable, has lighting & is wireless, it can even be paired to one usb plug in. So my mouse & keyboard are on one usb. EVGA normal epicness7/20/2015 6:07:11 PM

Pros: Was put off by the price @ first, however now that I have seen them in action (yes I bought two, yes I am one of those guys) they were well worth the money

Cons: None really, can't complain about price for what you get

Overall Review: I know when I say EQ2, it's an old game, however I have never been able to play it @ truly maximum settings, these cards chew that game up, they don't skip a beat, also loading other software has been fast & easy, would highly suggest to anyone that they should get @ least one, but I think 2 is best.
