Pros: Great colors, great size, haven't even bothered to test the speakers. Overall great upgrade from a 1280x1024 17" offbrand monitor.
Cons: Does not allow for 1920x1080 at 75hz, only 60. I was expecting that since it was listed at 75hz that I'd be able to run the monitor at 75hz at 1080p, but apparently you can only run that at lower resolutions.
Overall Review: In spite of the lack of 75hz at 1080p, it's still a great monitor for the price.
Pros: The sound and frequency response on these headphones is absolutely phenomenal. People laugh and tell me how ridiculous I look while wearing them, and how stupid I am for spending so much until they for themselves HEAR the bass and the highs. Inline volume control/mic mute is nice.
Cons: The USB sound card just isn't up to snuff with an X-Fi audio card, so I gave mine away and stuck with X-Fi. After a few weeks of use the microphone quit working, it felt flimsy at first. I am to assume I got a badly assembled set, because the mechanism and mic feels solid, but it seemed as if the mechanism itself rattled a bit in the earphone (this did not affect the sound!)
Overall Review: In spite of those cons I would still highly recommend these even to people who have no intent on ever using the microphone.
Pros: This mouse is THE BEST mouse I have ever had the pleasure to experience. I came from a DeathAdder which not only did not suit me comfortably, but also fell apart on me. This mouse is (for the most part) very solid and extremely comfortable.
5001cpi (or DPI) is awesome in games. Most games I just set my sensitivity to a decimal value to get the best resolution possible out of the mouse. I use the buttons on the left side with my thumb, but haven't yet found a good use for the buttons on the right side, though, I have no problem pressing them.
Tracks very well on my QCK+ mouse pad.
Cons: Marketing... there is a lot of hype to this mouse that could have been spent making it more solid.. Mine is ever so slightly coming apart at the back, but a dab of super glue should fix it.
Don't buy in to the "professional gamer profiles" and other crud they lure you in with, set it up to YOUR preference.
Pros: Easy setup, easy install, drivers that actually work, and TONS of options to tweak. It works fine with my Nvidia 8800 despite my doubts.
Cons: Default settings don't read DDR3 1600 memory (runs at 1333 instead,) but this is easily fixed with a few key clicks in the BIOS.
Overall Review: Wish I could have found a similar board for Nvidia solutions.
Pros: This PSU is holding 12.3, 5.03, 3.4, and 1.37 volts rock solid even when pulling 510 watts measured at the outlet, superb power supply.
Cons: Modular cables still give me more than I really needed, and the 2 PCI-e, as well as 2 CPU power cables (you'll only ever use one.)
Overall Review: I'm not a neat freak when it comes to wiring, but some people may want to look into a different PSU if they want to have as minimal wiring as possible.
Pros: Cheap. Runs fast. No errors.
Cons: I didn't buy 8GB
Overall Review: Works great on my ASUS MrA78T-E with Phenom II X4 955
Pros: Great CPU, great temps, LOADS of power.
Cons: The heatsink was the hardest to mount I've ever dealt with from both Intel or AMD. Not a huge deal, but it was nerve-racking putting all that force on the mobo. This is the only reason I gave it 4 eggs.
Overall Review: Don't pay 20-30 dollars more for the higher clock speeds, this easily OC's to 3.6 (and probably 3.8) on stock cooling with temps nearing only 55C while running 3dmark06 CPU tests.
Pros: Great sound when worn properly (see other thoughts)
Durable for every day use
Cons: Somewhat cheap cord, though it took 2 accidental washes for mine to begin to fray, they STILL WORK GREAT.
There's a comfortably learning curve with wearing these properly, they are intended to go in your ear canal, not just rest gently in your ear, try the 3 different sizes till you find what's most comfortable.
Overall Review: People that say these had bad sound have one of three issues:
1. They got a bad pair, understandable, mistakes happen
2. They aren't wearing them properly, many a friend of mine have tried mine out and say they sound horrible until i help them get the buds in properly, then they are often blown away
3. Bad EQ or source in general. Your typical flash-drive AAA powered MP3 player probably won't make these sound good, and if you have a customizable EQ, try raising the highs and lows, and taking a little bit out of the mids with these earbuds, this is how I've found them to work best. I will be buying another set of these when my current ones that I got in June decide to finally quit.
Pros: Great all around player awesome size, easily competes with Ipod shuffle/nano and suceeds because of price and ease of use, no need to use Itunes, works out of the boxwith no CD simply drag and drop files. The included earbuds even have a decent quality for bass.
Cons: Included earbuds were a little to small for my huge ears.
Only comes half charged.
No games? haha.
Comes in packaging that's the dual-layered plastic things that slide together and it's GLUED shut, takes a scissors to even get close to opening
Overall Review: I wish this had been on stock here at Newegg.com as i had to pay more than double to get it locally.
Pros: The sound is great.
I love the noise canceling ability of the cups when working on music or DJing over the net
I swear by these for gamers, they're light, confortable have a long cord so you can plug them right into your sound card with no extensions or anything.
Cons: Long cord + super comfortability has caused me to stand up and walk away from pc while still wearing them a few times. While it's a little startling when you get tripped up, the headphones survive the 5+ foot fall every time with no damage.
Overall Review: Awesome quality for the price, and just mentionable:
the way they adjust is annoying at first, but eventually becomes useful
Pros: Great cards, setup in sli... playing bf2142 max settings 1280x1024 with 70+ fps.
(i have the 512 versions, but they're not listed on newegg anymore)
Cons: I got my first card in june, and the second one in december, the second one looked different (i kind of expected that) but the second one also runs pretty hot compared to the first
first one: 40-50 idle 55-60 load
second one: 60-65 idle, 80+ load
there's no card under the second one, and there's even an open vent and it still tends to run a little hot.
Overall Review: wonderful cards, i loved playing on 1, and going SLI made games look mind-boggling awesome!
Pros: I enjoy the cathodes when i'm not at my pc, as they're blinding to have on whilest being on the computer.
The fan control WORKS.
Cons: The fan conrol works POORLY. It seems to run slower if more than one fan is attached. I bought 2 rosewill BLUE led 80MM fans to go with this controller and the fans moved more air when they were plugged straight into my mobo.
Overall Review: Fit perfectally with my case color scheeme.
Pros: Wonderful amazing clarity. Handles much bass. They feel very sturdy, and are extremely comfortable.
Cons: I don't have a ture EAX soundcard to enjoy BF2 with.
Overall Review: Newegg is amazingly fast again with shipping.
Pros: Just built my system, this thing looks and works great, fan controll allows you to keep quiet enough and still cool enough.
Cons: I ordered the black one, got the blue. Like a lot have mentioned, had to install upside-down. Worst of all, only 2 screws alligned with my case, not sure if it's the PSU or the case.
Pros: Built my gaming system just recently AMD 3500+ 1GB ddr 400 dual channel, sata2 3Gb/s 160GB, and this card.
Plays BF2 completely maxed out at 1280x960 with 40+ fps.
Cons: Didn't have enough budget to get 2.
Overall Review: WOW! buy it now!
Pros: Just built system, this drive rocks. Loads BF2 maps in 30-60 seconds.
Cons: I've dialup to I'm limited to BF2 lan and single player. :( not really a con for the drive though.
Pros: Just built system. RAM's working great even OC'd
Cons: didn't work well in single-channel mode.
Overall Review: What am I going to have for dinner?
Pros: Just built the system a few days ago, no real problems (that aren't my fault) yet.
Cons: I wanted to run my memory in single channel(2x 512MB in the 1st and 3rd slots) just to test the performance diffenrence, and when I did, it wouldn't boot OS. Also they brag about 64-bit compatibility, yet, when I poped the driver CD in while running a 64-bit OS, it wouldn't run.
Overall Review: Don't get 64-bit OS's yet.
Pros: Just got it about 3 days ago, CPU and heatsink fit perfect. Really fast, easy OC.
Cons: It says it came with an AMD sticker. I didn't get one. :(
Overall Review: I still want my sticker, and do not use 64-bit OS's yet. There's NO backwards compatibility with 32-bit programs.
Pros: Just got it about 3 days ago, very expandable. Green lights look sweet. Not too hard to figure out
Cons: I found many sharp edges the hard way. Many bandages later i found that the power-supply screw holes don't allign right. "That's the psu's fault" you may be thinking, but i poped it in a diff case and it worked fine.
Overall Review: Not just a case, it's a night light too!
Pros: My boss has 5 of these, gave one to me, I love it. Great for gaming too.
Cons: CAN be really bright.
Overall Review: The guy who had problems wih "check signal" and refresh rates, firstly unless you're using integrated video, you shouldn't get that and if you do, it's a defective monitor/other hardware, otherwise all you needed was the graphics card's drivers. and also so you know, 60hz isn't going to hurt your eyes, the human eye doesn't really recognize much past 30hz.
Pros: The game is great, steam is WONDERFUL when it works. Not only can you download your games to any computer with an internet connection, also comes in handy when you lose the installation CD, In the end, For whoever that was with the steam problem, look up a 14.4K dialup modem, and a free month subscription to AOL, all you'll need is one day. and it'll work fine.
Cons: Steam sometimes doesn't work properly, making thousands mad.
Overall Review: Garrys Mod available after installing HL2, Garry's Mod is SWEET!
