Pros: Nice Sound, with semi surround and the vibrations can tickle when high but on perfect settings really add to games.
Cons: Just like all headphones...hurts your ears. After 2 hours today I had to take a break to refresh my ear durability.
Overall Review: CSS with these are nice. The bullets are felt, and depending on what gun you can feel it shooting. I can also hear people's footsteps from around corners and 20 ft away, really helps in those situations with the bomb planted.
This game is interesting
Pros: This game is like crack to the committed gamers who like to work hard to earn the almost unearnable. Like in MMO's when you have to grind for a month solid to get the best item on the server, X3 has amazing conceptual possiblities (IE setting up a battlestation of your own factories, supplies, ship convoys, and guard towers. Declaring the sector yours and declaring war on any race that enters the sector.)
Cons: This is also its downside, however as to do such things requires a huge amount of credits in game and just to own your very first mini cruiser can take up to 20-40 hrs in game. The feeling you get when you jump in the cockpit is amazing, however.
Overall Review: This game deserves 5 eggs because its just so friggin imaginative and goes outside the box. The fact that each time I play I can create a buisness plan full of goals and ideas in order to make the most profits is awesome. One time I was a mining mogul with a fleet of miners and mining stations. Another time I decided I would declare war on a specific race and defend my friendly nations to the death. Another time you can become a drug lord and loot and pillage and drink space fuel and smuggle space weed. The world is yours. Good hunting
A step up.
Pros: This card will bring any user with a 9800 or lower to the next level in the current games like CoD2, Oblivion, CSS, etc. No overheating as of yet. See Other Thoughts for some technical comparisons of games and temps.
Cons: Seems a little hot. Games dont go to very high but understandable with agp.
Overall Review: Oblivion is running for me at High with 1024 resolution. Textures look awesome, huge step up from the medium setting with my 9800 128meg. Call of duty runs at 1024 with graphics at high AA (4x normally) turned it down to raise the resolution. 40 frames avg. WoW runs nicely at 1200x1024 60fps. Gets a little laggy in towns, understandable: 30-50fps. Temps: after some gaming i dled ati tool and checked the temp at 61 degrees celcius. This morning turned on comp, its at 55-59 Degrees idle without any gaming so far. ATI tool is a must even for not ********* (increasing speeds of a sort). I just let it run and i watch the temp. Some people complain about temps so watch out. I have a dell case with standard fans so im keeping an eye on it.
