Great case at a great price

be quiet! PURE BASE 600 Black/Silver
be quiet! PURE BASE 600 Black/Silver

Pros: Fast shipping, good price on sale ($75); good looking; well designed interior space; great cable management; big quiet pre-installed fans (2), rubber cushioning where any chance of vibration might make noise (along side the power supply, the hard drive bays and mountings, all flat side surfaces. Fully -and easily- removable drive bays (thumb screws where ever useful, and plenty of screws for installing drives, provided with the case; front panel, easy access phono jacks; 2 USB3 ports; indicator lights and reset button. Though it comes with two fans pre-installed, and controlled by a front panel speed control (3 speeds), it allows for adding a third fan to the controller. However the case allows for additional fans to be installed, front and top. Depending on the size of the fan, you can install two or three fans on the front, as well as 2/3 on the top. I added one more to the front and three on the top. The flat top of the case is actually openable, in that you can raise it to one of two possible levels (or leave it off all together I suppose), allowing for fan-driven air to escape. Even then, as this is how mine is setup (just got it yesterday and built the PC today) the thing is amazingly quiet. Alongside my desk, with a total of five large fans, I am reminded that it is running because i can see the front indicator lights. ;-) This is a 'can't go wrong' purchase, with features I've seen in cases selling for $40-60 more. Sturdy, solid, quiet. What's not to like?

Cons: I can't think of one.

You get what you pay for

RCA 5.1 CH Home Theater System with Blu-ray Player and Netflix And Vudu- RTB10223
RCA 5.1 CH Home Theater System with Blu-ray Player and Netflix And Vudu- RTB10223

Pros: Great features. Decent audio for a smaller space; especially if you do not want to disturb others, yet have the enjoyment of a full sounding audio spectrum when enjoying a movie or audio stream. With Pandora and Netflix included in the menu choices, being entertained is fairly simple.

Cons: The processor is pretty slow. So sometimes you might think it was non-functioning. Then it will finally react to your selection on the remote. Why this was a refurb I have now discovered. After about 4 uses, the DVD player loses the ability to read, and hangs up in a seek cycle, disabling the entire system, as well as the remote. The only function that will operate at that point, is [POWER OFF]. So I assume that the refurb process consists of "get it going well enough to get out the door." After the 30days of warranty, you'll find out why. As it happens, I never set this up until a few weeks ago, long after the expiration of the warranty. Had I done so immediately, I might have a replacement. But instead, I got to use it 5 times in 13 days before it failed. I placed the failing DVD into the PC and it plays perfectly.

Overall Review: For $40 is was worth the gamble to find out if a Newegg refurb was a good gamble. In my experience, not so much. But for only $40 I found out not to ever buy refurb again.

Working great

Z-EDGE UG32 32" 2560x1440 2K QHD 170Hz (DP) 144Hz (HDMI) 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor, FreeSync, HDMI x2 , DP x2, Eye-Care Technology

Pros: I just received this after 3 attempts to find one that worked with the equivalent from MSI. (cust. svc was !!GREAT!! in handling the repeatedly failed/malfunctioning/broken MSI monitors). I already had one Z-Edge, purchased simultaneously with the MSI. So this is the 2nd one I've bought and it works as well as the one I've had for months. I'm looking forward to focusing more on the content on the monitor, than all my time trying to get one that would work ;-)

Cons: The DP cable supplied did not allow the monitor to be recognized. That said, it may have been the DP on the monitor, since it is now working with an HDMI @the monitor > DP @the GPU. Fortunately I had a DP to HDMI that I am using now, successfully. So all is good. All is working fine.

Overall Review: I have purchased now three Z-Edge monitors. [32" x 2 and a 27"] Each runs flawlessly. What can I say?
