Pros: If you plan on using this tv to watch DVD's or as a really big computer monitor, it's great. Picture quality is astonishing. And with the variety of connections, it's hard to find something you can't hook up to it.
Cons: If you want to use this TV to it's full potential while watching normal cable channels, invest in good cables and make sure that you have a HD box from your service provider. If you don't, the picture quality will be worse than a normal TV with major mpeg artifacting and pixelation.
Overall Review: Watched a letterbox divx movie through my laptop attached to the Niko with the supplied VGA cable. All I can say is... AWESOME!!!
Good for the price once I tweaked it
Pros: The price is high on the list of pros. Being USB to boot makes that even more so. The design of the headset is actually pretty smart and rugged. I have a feeling this pair might last a while.
Cons: The Sound is a bit tinny compared to my last pair but with tinkering with the sound options it's not that bad. My main gripe is with the way it doesn't really have much swivel to the earpieces. I have a wide head and it was creating pressure points at the top of the headset giving me a headache. But since the tensioning part of the headset is really a plastic sheath surrounding a metal wire core I was able to bend the to wires at both ends about an inch from the head phones and correct the problem.
Overall Review: Having a USB headset allows you to keep your sound card hooked up to a speaker set and choose which applications play thru what. Kinda nice having voip over the headsets while having game sound over the 5.1.
Make sure you experiment...
Pros: The mouse has the ability to double as a joystick, which is awesome. First day I was playing galaga on the widescreen. Range is good if you know the limitations. Battery hasn't died yet and I've had it for over a month. Small and compact. Perfect for keeping in the drawer of my coffee table.
Cons: Wish it had volume control, but for the price you can't beat the functionality it does have. Also, when I first plugged it in it took me a little time to figure out the best placement for the receiver. And unfortunately, the cord wasn't very long.
Overall Review: Buy a usb extension cord and place the receiver high up. At least 3 feet higher than where you will have the keyboard. With the receiver at the same level as the keyboard I was getting jerks and missed keystrokes. Location, location, location....
Great Server Addon
Pros: Tremendously easy to install. Was able to create a RAID5 with 3 sg320 gb hard drives using server 2003 and was copying files to the drives before it finished creating the RAID configuration.
Cons: None. I sat here for a few minutes trying to think of something to say about this card that was bad and I can't. Good price, easy install. What more could you ask for?
