Pros: Everything in the previous reviewer's post establishes that this adapter works as intended, yet he gives the adapter a ONE EGG rating because it doesn't work when used in a manner which IT WASN'T DESIGNED FOR! If you don't understand how computers function, don't punish the manufacturer when you can't make something work.
Cons: SIIG's only problem was assuming that a person buying this product understands certain basic computer concepts.
Overall Review: I think the one egg review should be removed for it's shocking level of inaccuracy. OF COURSE it's not going to work when plugged into some random devices! It isn't a passive cable, or some magical USB to ethernet 'converter' box (as if something like this existed)... it's a USB network adapter. I would suggest enrolling in some computer classes at your local community college if this still does not make any sense.
The RW heads fall off!
Pros: Cheap junk. A great way to throw away some money, and lose up to 1500 GB of data. Do you hate your data?
Cons: Cheap junk. These drives are terrible. Just save yourself the pain and don't buy this garbage. Seagate may send you a replacement drive, but the data is never coming back.
Overall Review: My Seagate 1.5TB drive was in an internal enclosure I got 4 months ago for $70. It died last week, with 800GB of ripped movies on it. I disassembled the drive, and took the cover off the bare drive. I took pics of the actuator arms and RW heads... they FELL OFF... Really... THEY FELL OFF THE ARMS!! I've never even moved the drive. It failed sitting in a well-ventilated PC. It never exceeded 45 degrees C! The heads simply decided to fall off the arms and take 800 gigs of data with them. I attached a photo of the failure.
