good match cost vs features

GIGABYTE GA-M55SLI-S4 AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-M55SLI-S4 AM2 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Great features and ability to upgrade on this board for the money spent for it. Less issues of finding room for all my toys on this board compared to others in the past.

Cons: I run dual Raid PCI boards and the only 2 PCI slots being right next to each other kinda is rough on the IDE cabes. I could think that there might be other cards with clearance issues too. But with all the PCI-e ports there is not much room for them to cram anything else in there, tho would have been nice if they alternated PCI/PCI-e/PCI instead of PCI/PCI/PCI-e. Slight hang on post just before IDE detection once in my initial install but no issues since. Also the USB addons for front panel or additional slots mounted USB are not included, tho the ports are on the MB for them. But plenty of integrated USB on back plane(not a real big deal but figured there might be someone that may want to know this.)

Overall Review: Perfect board for someone looking for upgradability low cost and room to expand. This is my first MB with PCI-e and think it was a great upgrade, makes my old P4 HT look like a i386.

Junk don't buy

SCEPTRE x22wg-Gamer Black 22" 5ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen HDMI LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1,200:1, US Warranty
SCEPTRE x22wg-Gamer Black 22" 5ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen HDMI LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1,200:1, US Warranty

Pros: Bright screen, and sharp picture (when it works) Decent concept only behind the inclusion of a USB hub and audio passthrough/amp.

Cons: I ordered 2 @ the same time. One was DOA. It would work for about 2 mins then go black. The power indicator stayed on so the unit still was "on". I cycled the power and the back light would flicker and power up, then go black 30 seconds later. Each time I turned it on, the faster it would go black. So either the ballast or the bulb was defective and overheated easy. Got an RMA and had no issues getting a replacement. 2nd one had minor issues with screen clarity but functions enough to not justify a RMA IMO. The replacement has the exact same issue but only once in a great while, as the unit it replaced. Not often enough to get an RMA. USB hub does not work. Audio amp/speakers - too weak. DVI cable that is included is junk for this monitor. Base is extremely weak, does not take much movement on the desk to make this monitor shake bad. Bright power indicator LED on front lower right that is distracting even in mid day

Overall Review: I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone. Even tho Newegg is great as far as RMA and replacements, I usually hope that I get better than a 50/50 chance of a good shipped product. The fact that none of the 3 are defect free leads me to believe that this company should revisit the technology or quality or components of their products or lower their prices to reflect the actual quality of final products they produce.

Perfect Ram

CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X1024A-6400

Pros: No fuss installing, no fuss booting, no fuss running at fullcapacity usage for an hour+ right out of box. This brand has never disappointed me.

Cons: none

Overall Review: If you have a choice between this brand and another, Do yourself a favor, stop looking elsewhere, this ram is the best.

Too much fuss over noise

Dynatron A27G 60mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Dynatron A27G 60mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: Defiantly large enough to cool even the most hungry CPU's, Plenty of airflow. On my MB the side mount fan is great for getting the hot air out of the case as it is pointed up towards an air exit in my case.

Cons: Must be careful and trust/know what you are doing when installing this, as others have said it has it's own back plate. But IMO it isn't truely negative due to it adding stability to its actual negative.... It IS freakin heavy but not a real concern unless you plan to be dribbling your tower?? heh a stationary case and strong MB will do fine.

Overall Review: I really don't understand all the fuss over the noise. I must have a decient MB that drops the RPM down if they aren't needed on the CPU fan. Because it is only loud when you reboot or first turn it on while the MB posts. After that I don't hear a whistle. AND I run my cases with the sides off next to my feet less than 2 feet away. So unless you all use MB's that keep the CPU fan spun up all the time, I don't see what the noise issue is.
