Excellent Card!

MSI Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R4870 Cyclone 1G
MSI Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card R4870 Cyclone 1G

Pros: Excellent Performance! 100 FPS in Battleforge with High Settings 60 FPS L4D everything on high with vsync. Runs cool. Tested with Windows 7 64 bit, Catalyst 9.8 & 1680x1050

Cons: The fan lets you know its working but does a great job keeping the card temps low. Much lower than my 2900xt.

Overall Review: I upgraded from a 2900xt and gained almost 70 FPS in Battleforge even after upping the settings from medium to high. Other system notes: Phenom X2 550 (Unlocked), 2GB DDR2 800, Raid 0

Great drive while it worked.

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9160412ASG 160GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive with G-Force Protection Bare Drive
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9160412ASG 160GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive with G-Force Protection Bare Drive

Pros: Decent performance for the price, good read/write times. Ran XP with no problems on an older Toshiba laptop till the drive failed. Drive was surprisingly quiet for being a 7200 rpm drive. The 4k sector auto-alignment seamed to work well with XP and Ubuntu 10.10.

Cons: Hard drive developed bad sectors after only 2 months of use. Seatools reports the drive is fine however windows will not boot even after complete re-install, finally threw Ubuntu on and ran some diagnostics and the bad sectors were identified. Seagates RMA website doesn't recognize the serial number of the drive and offers little to no instruction on locating the proper serial number so RMA'ing thus far has been a pain.

Overall Review: Serial number is printed in black in the top right hand corner of the drive.

Blazin Fast OC'er - 5ghz on AIR!

Test 033
Test 033

Pros: I had it at 5.0Ghz but had to bump the voltage to 1.475 and I really didn't notice much of a performance increase, the amazing part was I was able to do this only on air with an old Thermaltake Big Typhoon. Thanks to the Artic Silver 7 I was able to keep the temps down so they didn't burn but the temps were high enough the cheese melted real good.

Cons: For 41 dollars they should have come with with cheese, how can you expect to overclock with no cheese? (Or stay in Bronze)

Overall Review: When they get hot they got tasty. My Build: 3 New Eggs Clocked at 4.99 ghz stable. MA790GP Motherboard 16GB SKILL DDR2 1066 (OC) 2x Radeon 6990 1x Sharp Cheddar Cheese 2x Shakes of Black Pepper

Great Processor

AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition - Phenom II X2 Callisto Dual-Core 3.1 GHz Socket AM3 80W None Integrated Graphics Processor - HDZ550WFGIBOX
AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition - Phenom II X2 Callisto Dual-Core 3.1 GHz Socket AM3 80W None Integrated Graphics Processor - HDZ550WFGIBOX

Pros: Much faster than my e6300. Was able to unlock both disabled cores using a Gyabyte GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-UD4H. Low temps using a Thermaltake Big Typoon. Temps using the stock cooler were acceptable.

Cons: Have not had time to over clock it.

Overall Review: This is a great value, I was able to simply upgrade my motherboard and processor and was rewarded with a huge performance boost.
