Amazing

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Super fast. Stays cool (using aftermarket cooler) Handles everything I've thrown at it so far. Built an entirely new rig. My old rig was running a Phenom II X4 965 BE. Its hard to tell a difference when just doing normal browsing. The Old rig was fast, so normal usage between both are similar. But once I started gaming on this rig, you can really see the difference.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Can't say how well the stock heatsink and fan would work. I went with an after market cooler from the start. My temps stay low even under full load. Using the zalman 9700.

Nice air flow

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: The air that comes off of this thing is extremely cool. Even on low this thing kicks air around better than any other fan in my case. Pretty quiet unless you have it running full speed. Still not too loud though. Fan speed controller works great..mostly

Cons: The fan speed controller plug (the 3 pin that plugs to the motherboard) is very sensitive, the slightest movement causes the unit to turn off. I tried it without the fan controller, and no amount of movement affects it. So its just the speed controller plug.

Overall Review: The unit runs fine without the fan controller, but without it, it constantly runs on highest speed. The controller itself works fine, just gotta make sure nothing moves the plug even the slightest. Would still recommend this product, just make sure your wires/plugs work properly.

Pros: Price

Cons: Have to give at least 1 star. Grinding noises on one drive as soon as it was installed. Loud when loading/reading a disc. Purchased 2 drives, and both have issues. Surprisingly enough, the drive that made the less noise, was the first to fail.

Overall Review: This was the first Asus product I have ever ordered. I've built quite a few custom computers, and have always tried to stay with brands and companies that I have had good luck with. Well Asus has a huge name, so I figured I'd give it a try. Needless to say this is also the last time I purchase an Asus product. Purchased 2 of these for identical computers that I built. They were cheap, with loads of great reviews that out weighed the negative ones. Sadly I should have listened to the negative reviews. Both drives were extremely loud from the start, but one of them made grinding noises. I tried to ignore this. After a month of use the drive that didn't make the grinding noises, just decided to stop. It wouldn't read anything. I tried using cd's, dvd's, blank discs and software discs. No matter what I put in, I got nothing. Requested an RMA from newegg and have already purchased new drives from a local store. It was the price that got me on this drive, a great drive for less than 20 bucks!? well.. You get what you pay for. Don't be a penny pincher when it comes to your computer. Spend a few extra bucks and swing for better product! I've got a drive from a "lesser quality" company, and it has been in heavy use for 5 years now. Still works as flawless as it did the day I installed it. You'd expect more from a huge company like Asus. Do yourself a favor and pick up the LG for 40. It's worth it to avoid the hassle of rma's and paying for return shipping. I've always found it outrageous that you have to pay for a companies mistake. Manufacturers should be held responsible for returning bad product. It is their product, after all.

Great

Rosewill 12 Power Outlet Grounded Surge Protector, 4320 Joules 6KV, 8 Rotating Outlets, RJ11 and Coax Protection, 1800W, 6 Feet Cord, RHSP-13006

Pros: Lots of plugs. Loads of room for bigger plugs. I haven't really used the swivel feature, but its nice to have if and when you need more room or to direct your cords.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Does what its supposed to do. Supporting 2 self built computers. Plus all the extras (monitors, speakers etc.)

Great Monitor

SAMSUNG 21.5" TN LCD Monitor 5ms (GTG) D-Sub, HDMI S22C300H
SAMSUNG 21.5" TN LCD Monitor 5ms (GTG) D-Sub, HDMI S22C300H

Pros: Great picture, hooked up through HDMI and the 1080p is amazing! No dead pixels on arrival.

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: When I first hooked this thing up, it wouldn't go full screen with the suggested screen resolution. If you have this problem, just change the scaling on your video card. It is not an HDMI issue. When I searched this problem out online, I found tons of people saying to just stop using the HDMI and switch to DVI. Well for me that wasn't an option, so I dug a little deeper and it was a simple 30 second fix. Open your Catalyst, or Nvidia control center and raise your scaling. Done.

HUGE!

Thermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower Chassis, Compatible With Extreme Liquid Cooling Builds (CA-1B6-00F1WN-00)
Thermaltake Core V71 Extreme Full Tower Chassis, Compatible With Extreme Liquid Cooling Builds (CA-1B6-00F1WN-00)

Pros: Very large. There are a million things you can change on this case to make it suit your needs. I removed the Drive cages and will mount the HDD on the side, this has left my case completely open for anything.

Cons: Quality control. See other thoughts.

Overall Review: I ordered 2 of these cases. I am currently working on 2 builds. The cases are amazing, I couldn't imagine needing anything bigger than this. Especially if you can take all your drive cages out, and mount on the side. Quality control... I took an egg off for this issue alone. The cases in themselves are perfect. But while installing my motherboard and DVD drive, I noticed something long and black sticking through the metal on the inside front panel, and going through one of the fans on the front. When I finally got my hands on it and pulled it out, it was one of the large fan mounting screws. I'm going to guess that while the fans were being installed, whoever did it, dropped a screw and figured it was lost. Well the Chassis of the case caught it. And I'm glad I found it. If I would have powered it up with the screw going straight through the middle of the fan, I would have a very chewed up and damaged fan. So at least in my case, there should be a bit more inspection before sending these off to customers. If you drop a screw, make 100% sure that its not lodged somewhere inside the case where it can mess things up. Ironically, the fan that had the screw stuck through it, is the fan they decided to stick the "QC Pass" sticker on. 5 Eggs for the case, 4 eggs for Thermaltakes QC department. It would be wise for everyone to fully inspect their cases, which you should do anyways. But just keep a close eye on those fans!
