Printer Can Do Everything Except Walk On Water!!
Pros: Great output quality!!!! Print out the demo sheet and you'll see what I mean! Network printing from all my and my wife's computers is completely great. The cats love it too! They'll run to it and watch it as it prints. But seriously, anyone who needs a great network duplex color laser printer/duplex scanner/fax/copier/copies to Flash drive (Fat32 :( only). The power consumption when in power save mode is almost unintelligible. It's definitely a find! I work in IT and I have worked with some horrible hi-cap printers but if this printer is any indication of Samsung's line of printers then I think our company is going to make a few purchases. Scanning through the network is great especially the duplex feature. Throw pages in, digital out. Specifications are best looked at from the manu. website. Can handle a TON of different media Out of the Box!!! Tray feed can handle up to 28lb. paper and the multi-feed handles everything to glossy photo paper. (Haven't tried that yet)
Cons: Bulky and needs a substantial table to support the weight. Built a quick table out of some MDF, wood screws, and 2x4's. (To be expected with a printer of this caliber)
Overall Review: Owned a CLP-315 for about 2 years prior to this printer the only thing wrong with that is it didn't do auto duplex in color or B&W. In all honesty, a lot of what the other reviews said about the bleeding text (sorry) can be fixed by playing with the scan settings. Like anything, the settings have to be played with and tuned to your liking. Out of the box perfection is rare and doesn't necessarily denote the inherent quality. Plus, I first noticed the bleeding with cheaper stock say... 20lb. 92%White copier paper. Spend a little more on your paper stock and you'll notice a difference in the printer and the documents. Prints on a multitude of different paper and card stock. You can't beat it! Well, maybe you can but this is such a steal comparatively. Got this on a shell shocker deal. I WAS SHOCKED!!! For about $(e^6.10923) you can do the math and can't go wrong!!!!! If you see it for that... pick it up!
Great for those looking for dependability
Pros: As expected of a laser printer, black and white output was exquisite. The color output was also great with great resolution.
Cons: The only annoyance we had was having to do manual duplexing. When we bought it we thought that we would be alright with it, plus we wanted a laser printer and none in our price range did any kind of duplexing which most still don't do.
Overall Review: After a year and a half of manual duplexing which we have gotten adept at, we decided to fork out some money and get a very large all-in-one duplexing everything printer (from Samsung). But don't get me wrong. The manual duplexing just saves us time and plus the automatic sheet feeder for the duplex scanning comes in handy since we're students right now. But the CLP-315 is a great value for those of you who want to do color laser printing at it's finest!
Pros: Both cards still sit, respectively, in my phone and my wife's phone providing a lot of space for it without any problems. No data loss or such. Good stable cards. Can't say anything more than keep it away from the Leprechauns because it's gold! LOL
Cons: Leprechauns are always a con!
Overall Review: Nope. I'm thoughtless now.
