Excellent after an update
Pros: Excellent burner after a FW update and a few adjustments.
Cons: Didn't burn all that great out of the box made a lot of coasters.
Overall Review: Mine came with the Nero disc a lot of people are saying that it comes without it and some are saying they are getting the SATA cable with it also.
Pros: None for the card that I can think of, but a lot of Pros for newegg's eggcellent customer service.
Cons: Sorry but no pros as it came to me DOA out of the box tried it in 3 different systems with 3 different OS's and same no boot as long as the card was installed remove the card, boot up as normal on all 3 systems. No big deal though as it can happen and does happen to any kind of electronic equipment this is no reflection on the Mfg's products as it can happen to any Mfg.
Overall Review: Newegg was quick with the RMA and took off the restocking fee for me and even went as far as to pay for the return shipping charges for me. 5 eggs for newegg and 1 egg for the DOA card.
Ok except for eSATA ports and bootup
Pros: Has everything you need for the near future and maybe beyond 6 SATA 6.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 on back, 2 eSATA ports on back.
Cons: At start up the BIOS sets there for at least 15 - 20 seconds before anything happens running the video card fan wideopen then it starts to doing the post. I updated the BIOS but that did not help at all still a 15 - 20 second wait at bootup the other gripe I have about the board is the eSATA ports will not tell Windows that the eSATA drive(s) have been turned on if you do not have them turned on during post they do not show up. You have to do a scan for hardware changes in Device Manager to be able to get the drive(s) to show up and be able to use them not like USB drives they just just work right first time when you turn them on.
Overall Review: It would have received 5 eggs if the eSATA ports worked like they should when you turn on a external hard drive to do a system backup without having to have it already turned on during post or having to do a scan for hardware changes every time and also if it didn't take so long to start posting on the bootup.
Pros: These discs are made by Moser Baer, and the MID = Media ID is MBI 01RG40 the do burn alright would have given them 5 stars but see cons.
Cons: Newegg has these listed as Silver Ink Jet printable discs but they actually have a White top printable surface I was wanting the Silver printable tops but got white instead so minus 1 egg for that.
Overall Review: They are alright discs but you can get better burning discs for less money.
Fast as lightning
Pros: This Hitachi 2TB drive puts my WD 1TB drive to shame I have never had or seen a drive as fast as this drive is on HDTune test. I ran HDTune on both and this is what I got. Hitachi 2TB 122.5 Max MB/sec 97.5 Average MB/sec Burst rate of 174.8 MB/sec WD 1TB Black Edition 105.2 Max MB/sec 84.8 Average MB/sec Burst Rate of 132.6 MB/sec
Cons: None that I can think of at the moment
Overall Review: Will see how well it holds up in the long run hope it will last longer than the 1TB Segate did it died at 7 months and replacment Seagate is dead in less than 2 months. I didn't even bother with trying to send it back again I just throwed it in the trash heep.
Dead after 2 weeks
Pros: Lagre size, bling factor, something a little different from other drives not your ever day looking USB flash drive.
Cons: Poor reliablity quit working after 2 weeks, worked good last night pulgged it in today and no response from two different computers as it can not be recognized. I had a 2GB flash drive from Super Talent to do the same thing as this 8GB drive done worked one minute and not the next they just up and die. Now I see why they have a non refundable 30 day return policy on them.
Overall Review: Will RMA it and see what happens with the next one if the same things happens with it then I am through with buying any thing from Super Talent ever again and that goes for system memory from them also.
