A great little GPS, BUT.....

GARMIN 3.5" On the Road GPS Navigation
GARMIN 3.5" On the Road GPS Navigation

Pros: When I saw this Garmin selling for under a hundred bucks, I just had to give it a try. After going through all the firmware options I was very impressed, but taking it on a trip showed me what was to be a fatal flaw. I will get to that in the cons section. The first thing that struck me was the lack of a flip up antenna. Although the antenna is totally internal, it works perfectly even in my basement, which blows the doors off of my Navman. The size is small too which makes the screen seem small, but it isn't. The firmware is near flawless (except for my fatal flaw) and program navigation is very user friendly. Maps are BRIGHT and the voice prompts are LOULD. Navigation was perfect. This unit couldn't easier to use! ALMOST a perfect GPS device, but to the cons for what I felt was the killer.

Cons: The only thing that I found to be a deal breaker for me was the data fields on the map. They are FIXED on SPEED and ARIVAL TIME. The speed data is redundant and DUMB! The arrival time is not only useless, but down right dangerous. You start out a trip with an arrival time and as time goes by the time starts creeping up because of weather, traffic, whatever. Human nature then magically increases the weight of your foot to try and chase that original arrival time. I'm sure some who has done this have gotten into accidents going too fast. In order to see the miles to destination, you have to hit a button on the display to see it, again dangerous. I called Garmin and they said what you see is what you got. The Nuvi 270 was the same story. I had ordered two more, but canceled the order over this flaw. That distance to destination data is very important to me.

Overall Review: If you can overlook the data thingy, this is a great GPS for the money. It is really too bad that the programmers had their heads where the sun don't shine the day they programmed the map display...

CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-32GB
CORSAIR Flash Voyager 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model CMFUSB2.0-32GB

Pros: The large capacity lets me carry just about every application I would ever need for my customer's needs.

Cons: SLOW write speeds and reads aren't that much better. It runs at half the speed of the 16 Gig version which I also own. I bought this drive to do in field multi-gig customer backups. Watching this thing work is like watching paint dry!

Overall Review: I talked to the RAM guy at Corsair about this and he gave me some noise about addressing slowing down the process but I'm not buying it. I think they just used slower memory to save $$$. He gave me a format procedure that helped a bit, but not much. If you don't need the 32 Gigs, stick with the 16 Gig version or better yet do some research on some faster models from other manufactures.

This mouse was a big disappointment

ZALMAN ZM-M300 Black 7 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 2500 dpi Mouse
ZALMAN ZM-M300 Black 7 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 2500 dpi Mouse

Pros: Price

Cons: Cheaply made No manual or software 7 buttons are not programmable No "Auto-fire" as advertised Button placement is also poor

Overall Review: As others have said, the mouse is cheaply made, but then it gets worse. There was no manual or software in the package or at the manufacturer's site. As far as I can tell the 7 buttons are not programmable which pretty much makes them useless for gaming and just about anything else. The "Auto-fire" is nothing but a double click. No more than two with no programming at all. The button placement is also poor, but since the buttons are useless anyway, that doesn't much matter. All in all, a BAD purchase.

Best thing since sliced bread, but a word of caution...

BYTECC HD-201U2 (SILVER) Aluminum 2.5" IDE USB2.0 mini External Enclosure
BYTECC HD-201U2 (SILVER) Aluminum 2.5" IDE USB2.0 mini External Enclosure

Comments: This enclosure has solved a good deal of problems for me on moving large chunks of data between machines, but to every silver lining, there is a cloud. There are some motherboards that simply won't power the drive, even with that Huge cable it comes with. On one customer machine I had to install a PC USB card to accommodate the drive. No biggie really but a consideration. Other than that, this thing ROCKS!
