Worked great in an MSI Z170-A PRO with Windows 10

SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 2280 500GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-N5E500BW
SAMSUNG 850 EVO M.2 2280 500GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal SSD Single Unit Version MZ-N5E500BW

Pros: Fast as heck No cables. And I mean none. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Worked great with my MSI Z170-A PRO motherboard. The motherboard includes the retaining screw.

Cons: Had to flash the MSI Z170-A PRO to the latest BIOS.

Overall Review: I would definitely buy another one and am sold on M.2 vs. SATA.

Budget RAM that works great in my MSI Z170-A PRO

Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Desktop Memory Model CT2K8G4DFD8213

Pros: Inexpensive, low profile, and works.

Cons: Won't win any beauty contests

Overall Review: Worked immediately in a new build using an MSI Z170-A PRO motherboard. I would definitely buy again.

Solid budget Z170 board - working flawlessly

MSI Z170-A PRO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI Z170-A PRO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: The goal was a solid budget Z170 board with DisplayPort and an M.2 slot. This board fit the spec and was surprisingly easy to get setup. Flashed BIOS via USB Stick - worked perfectly. 500GB Samsung M.2 SSD works great with it. M.2 screw is included on MB. Love no cables. Coolermaster 212 fit just fine (I did buy value RAM so no super tall heat sinks on RAM) Two CPU Fan headers Three system fan headers - programmable speed curves via BIOS or desktop utility. Works great.

Cons: M.2 card disables the two most obvious SATA ports. Had to read the manual to figure out which to use. Doesn't have all the features of the more expensive boards.

Overall Review: Super happy with my purchase. Works great and would by another.

Small, quiet, works great.

Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX100 S3 Tower Server System Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz 4GB ECC (2 x 2GB) 1x250GB SATA II 3.5" 7200RPM VFY:T1003SX010US
Fujitsu PRIMERGY TX100 S3 Tower Server System Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz 4GB ECC (2 x 2GB) 1x250GB SATA II 3.5" 7200RPM VFY:T1003SX010US

Pros: Great little server. It's small, quiet, and very easy to work on. It comes with "rails" for 4 drives and they install with zero tools. Works great with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Hyper-V. Max RAM of 32GB.

Cons: I wish it had hardware RAID, but for the price, that's just crazy talk.

Overall Review: It makes a great little lab server to test whatever needs testing.

Comments: Earlier post is completely FALSE. If activation fails after an upgrade, just call Microsoft and they will fix it. This is simply copy protection so you don't activate the same copy of XP on multiple machines. I believe they give you five major hardware changes with no questions asked.
