Pros: Worked great for 5 months. Great speed and superb wi-fi connections throughout my home. Great looking design and very high quality appearance.
Cons: This is my 5th Netgear router and I have always been most pleased with the quality and "durability" of their products until now. After only 5 months of useage I encountered the infamous "Blinking Green Light of Death"! Spent many hours trying all of the solutions listed on the Netgear support site to install updated firmware. NOTHING WORKED! All I have now is a $200 router with corrupt firmware that cannot be updated or corrected. In sheer deperation I even tried the 30-30-30 procedure and of course that did not work either. The unit is totally inoperable and useless.
Overall Review: If you are planning on purchasing a N900 router please stay away from this one. You might as well just take $200 and throw it in the trash. I will never purchase another Netgear product again! You would be wise not to purchase one either. If Netgear cannot engineer a product that you can easily and successfully upload new firmware to fix firmware that is corrupted, then they should not place a piece of junk like this in the marketplace.
Pros: High quality construction, elegant design, excellent functionality, simply unmatched beautiful picture. This is one amazing monitor.
Cons: None, absolutely none!!!!
Overall Review: I was a bit leery about ordering this expansive monitor after reading some of the early reviews that mentioned numerous dead/stuck pixels, bland whites, grayish blacks and dust under the glass. Happily I ordered this while it was on sale and to my amazement, it was delivered in just three days. Great going Newegg! I have not experienced any of the aforementioned problems with the monitor I received. It is perfect in every way. When I first turned the monitor on I was not all that impressed with the quality of the picture. The whites were kind of grayish and the colors seemed no better then the picuture I was getting on my 23" Samsung LED monitor. I entered the OSD menu and began to experiment. I pressed the "Dynamic Contrast" icon and instantly the world in front of me came to a radical change. My jaw dropped open. I could not believe the color, sharpness and brightness of the picture before me. It was simply "STUNNING"! This is truly one amazing piece fo hardware!
Pros: Had problems in my home with my G/N WiFi network connecting to one PC at the distant end of our large home. Only getting 54 to 100 Mips connections at best. Purchased a set of the Belkin Gigabit Powerline adapters as a last resort. Newegg delivered within two days. Great going Newegg as usual. Followed the instructions to download and install the firmware update. Took all of 30 seconds per unit. Connected one directly to my router and the second unit directly to the distant PC. Plugged both of them into the electrical wall sockets. They recognized one another instantly as I was all set to go. Both PC's show Gigabit connections. I have run numerous speed tests and am getting the exact same download/upload speeds from my 9 meg DSL service at both computers. I am simply amazed at the operation of these units and the simplicity in getting them up and running. Also, the adapters are of the highest quality in both materials and finish. Belkin has done an outstanding job here.
Cons: None. Just purchase these units. You will not be sorry!
Overall Review: Be sure to download and perform the firmware update prior to connecting these units. The newest firmware update appears to have fixed ALL of the problems others have noted as experiencing in previous reviews.
