Excellent.
Pros: Works exactly the way it should, and it is super fast.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: My only hangup on this is, my MB doesn't have a M.2 slot, so I bought a PCIe to M.2 adapter also, and was planning on using this drive as my main hard drive...but unfortunately my MB won't boot from PCIe...which I did NOT know before I bought this...so unfortunately, I had to install my OS on a regular solid state drive and I just use this as my "game storage". I can't fault Crucial for this, so they still get a 5 star rating for this item, but...just a warning to those who may be trying to do what I did, double check your BIOS and make sure that you can boot from PCIe beforehand.
*Edited review: Stay away...*
Pros: The contrast from the yellow stands off my motherboard and looks better than I thought it would. The plastic felt really solid and durable.
Cons: The plastic felt good...but broke very easily from simply tightening down my heatsink.
Overall Review: Luckily the set came with two because the first one broke from simply attaching the heatsink. I was pretty confused because the plastic felt heavy and solid. I guess you get what you pay for... EDIT: As of January 22, the second one has broken also. My wife complained that her computer shut off for no reason and kept doing so when she powered it on...upon inspection, it's because the heatsink had separated from the processor because the mount broke. I can't recommend these...spend a bit more on a better quality product.
Works great.
Pros: It looks and operates exactly the way that it should.
Cons: None so far.
Perfect.
Pros: I love the visual appearance. Since installing, my CPU sits about 20°C lower than before...so I'm getting much better performance overall. With Corsair's iCUE software, the RGB syncs up with my keyboard and mouse.
Cons: None, so far!
Excellent
Pros: This card is a beast. It is heavy and looks awesome. It's quiet.
Cons: It get's pretty hot, but I have good airflow and a huge case...so it doesn't hurt me, but it could be a problem for some with smaller cases.
*Edited review. They came through, in the end.
So, to start, they listed the processor (AMD FX-9590) that I bought as being compatible with my motherboard. In hindsight, I regret not doing my own research before the purchase, but it was supposed to be a Christmas gift so I got overzealous and bought it. I paid for the item through Paypal and got the fastest shipping option possible so the transaction went very quickly and I received the item super fast. So, I get the processor in a small envelope, wrapped in a bubblewrap that is inside of another bubblewrap, and then one last bubblewrap... I get down to the actual processor and it is literally laid on a 1.5" x 1.5" x .25" Styrofoam piece and only held in place with two pieces of twine...like, tied to the Styrofoam with the twine in a crisscrossing pattern... I try to disregard the shoddy packaging and clean and install the processor, only to be met with a BIOS popup telling me that the processor is not compatible with my motherboard and the PC shuts itself off. So, I do some research and find that the FX-9590 is only compatible with (Rev. 4) or better of the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3, which was NOT specified on the seller's page. Unfortunately, I have (Rev. 3), so this processor does nothing but trigger the popup that tells me that it's not compatible. I'm sure there are ways to underclock the processor to "force" it to work, but I'd much rather just get a refund and buy an FX-8370 or another FX-8350.... So, I requested a refund THAT night, Dec. 10 and here I am, Dec. 27...17 days later, and I still don't have a refund or even the beginnings of a return. They have told me over and over that it IS compatible, that it WILL work. I have literally provided every bit of evidence to the contrary, that there should not be ANY kind of argument...links to the manufacturer's websites, screenshots from those links, pictures of my PC, even videos of the installation and what happens when I turn on the PC, and countless emails back and forth explaining everything from what power supply I have, what version of BIOS I have, what Windows installation I have, my blood type, the name of my first born, etc, etc, etc... They have agreed to return and refund the item several times, but then they go quiet for several days, upon my inquiry into the status of the return they ask me to install the processor again and try something else and insist that the processor WILL work, continuing the cycle over and over... I know that they are based in another country, so there is a bit of a language barrier...but there are only so many ways to say that the processor is not compatible and it doesn't work and that I want a refund...I even offered to trade this one back to them for a processor that IS compatible, even if it costs less... I feel that I have gone above and beyond with them and been super understanding so far, but it's getting to be too much. I have contacted Newegg directly, but due to the time of year they have a backup of returns and refunds...so I have not heard from them quite yet. Hopefully this matter will be resolved sometime soon...because, as I said...this was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my wife...and until this is all settled and I get a processor that actually works with my motherboard, my wife just doesn't have a PC... Would I recommend this seller? The laughable packaging aside...I can't say as far as the quality of the item...as, it doesn't work with my motherboard even though they said it would, but from what I can tell, it appears to be a functional processor. As for their customer service...it's a firm no. EDIT: So, after almost a month, quite a few emails back and forth, and Newegg stepping in, this issue has been resolved and I feel satisfied with the turn out. They let me return the FX-9590 and instead of refunding the payment, allowed a trade for a processor that IS compatible with my MB, an FX-8370. The 8370 that I received was brand new and came with a Wraith Cooler, which I don't need because I have a water cooler...but is a decent gesture. I am happy with the new processor and felt like I should update this review because they DID fix the problem, but because it took a long time and I honestly feel like if Newegg hadn't stepped in we would still be going back and forth with this...I can't give more than a 4 star rating.
