Pros: Best charger I've used. I charge a huge amount of batteries for my camera flashes. Great customer service. 5-egg charger!
Cons: Mine fired (with a little puff of smoke!) after 2 years.
Had to take one egg off for it failing, but....
Overall Review: After two years of HEAVY use (60-100 AA battery charges per week) mine gave out. I called the toll-free MAHA customer service number on the warrenty card, and they sent out a new unit the same day, with a return label for the bad one. Gotta love that! No RMAs or send it in first, then they send out a new one. I'm back in business now.
Pros: Slim profile - helps with airflow and case congestion.
Cons: Looks pretty fragile where the cable connects to the connectors. Be careful installing it.
Overall Review: Best price and works. What more do you want in a cable?
Pros: I posted another review below in late August. I have two of these in RAID 0 and they are both running great at 7 weeks. Very, very impressed with the speed. Anyway, I see how some people have had trouble with the rebate, but I got mine in 6 weeks. $40 total for two. You need to write in the serial numbers, and I kicked myself for not writing them down before installing the drives (no box with these). My IT guy at work said check out the BIOS for the numbers, and sure enough, there they were.
Overall Review: 1/2 the price of getting two of these in RAID 0 than one 300GB solid state drive. Plus, the speed is about the same or better, according to published tests. Until the price of solid state drives comes down, these little drives in RAID 0 are the only way to go for me.
Pros: Works good. No problems.
Cons: A little more expensive, but you get the 5 year warranty.
Overall Review: Does not come formated. Doesn't come with any cables or screws. And why do they always tout the "3GB per Sec" transfer rate of the SATA connection? It's a little misleading, because this drive writes at about 40 MB/second.
Pros: Cards are inserted right-side-up. Floppy works. USB works. Price is nice. Matches my black case. Fits good - not too tight.
Cons: Speed of card reading isn't super fast - I have other corded card readers that read faster.
No floppy cable.
Overall Review: Sure it's a cheap Chinease no-brand item, but it works and looks OK.
Pros: Has all the things I needed. Great design. Sound is great - no hiss or distortion. RAID 0 easy to set up. Lot's of extras. And most importantly, it fired up first time no problem and every plug works. Blu-rays can play in the background and it doesn't even slow down the system.
Asus manual is pretty good, too. This is my first build and it was very easy to do. Between the Lian Li case and this higher-end motherboard, my build went very smooth.
Cons: None, really.
Overall Review: I put my Vista and programs on a RAID 0 with two Velociraptors (10,000 rpm). It is incredibly fast. It opens Photoshop and all my brushes and plugins IN TWO SECONDS! then it only takes 1 second to re-open after the first time. Crysis plays at 38fps with everything turned up and at 1920x1200.
I was a bit concerned with all the DOA reviews and poor customer service reports, which is why I made sure to post this postive review - I couldn't be happier with my Asus board.
I7 950 (at standard 3.03GHz), 12GB G.Skill (1600) ram, Two Velocipraptors in RAID0, one Seagate 1TB storage, HD 4890 video card. Lian Li PC-60 case. Samsung 245T 24" monitor.
Pros: Perfect fit in my Lian Li PC-60 mid tower. Connections for everything. Solid construction.
Cons: Not using all the connections, so they have to be stuck someplace. Too bad you can't disconnect the power cables you DON'T need.
Overall Review: Depending which one is on sale, the PC+C version is probably about the same.
Pros: Bought two of these 3-packs for 12GB for my ASUS P6T deluxe v2 motherboard. All recognized, no adjusting to the 1600 or anything. So no issues at all for me.
Overall Review: Can't beat the price - 12GB of the fast DDR3 for $240. Of course, my next 12 GB will probably cost half that much.
Pros: Amazingly fast in RAID 0. I have two of these set up in RAID 0 for operating system, programs, and working files, and a 1TB seagate for storage. Windows takes about 20 sec to completely load including desktop items (after 20 sec of BIOS loading). Photoshop, with all my brushes and plugins, loads in 2 seconds the first time, then 1 second after that. My previous sytems took 10+ seconds to load photoshop. They dont' make hardly any noise that I can tell - My fans are the only thing I can hear, and they aren't that loud. Lets hope they hold up. I do a daily image backeup of the raid combo to the 1TB drive, then back up the 1TB drive once a week to an external drive.
My system: i7 950, Asus P6T deluxe v2, two Velociraptors in RAID0, One Seagate 1TB, 12 Gb ram, HD 4890 video card
Cons: Don't forget to write down your serial numbers for the rebate BEFORE you install them!
Overall Review: Next best thing to solid state. And SSD aren't THAT much faster in throughput. Certantlly not worth the price (to me). But next major upgrade they may be. 5 years ago I couldn't afford the 10,000 drives, but look at their price now!
Pros: Super fast - I know thats not very quantitative, but I can get 38 fps on their included "hawk" game, with the settings all on high and 1920x1200. Two or three of these might improve that, along with overclocking, but I'm not a gamer so it's plenty fast form me. Crysis runs great, too.
Cons: big card, but fits my mid-tower Lian Li
Pros: Makes coffee fast! Looks good, too. I have to give it one egg because it completely let me down....
Cons: After 3 years, ours leaks about 1/4 cup of water onto the countertop from under the coffee maker when making a pot. It's a real bummer. Maybe I shouldn't expect a $100 water heater to last forever without leaking, but I bet those $300 Bunns don't leak after 3 years. I'll probably replace it with another BUNN, but not this particular model - even though it looks nicer and more modern than all the rest. I would have rather paid twice the amount and have it last about 8-10 years.
Overall Review: I bought a case of the special BUNN filters via the internet - that is the way to go. The case lasts a long time.
Pros: This case should cost a lot more. I work with aluminum sheet metal, and we couldn't make this for 10x what I paid. Really well put together and designed. I love the look. Functionally, everything fits EXACTLY. Includes 4 fans and you can reverse the direction on any of them to your liking. The four sides and top remove. The top fan is 1" away from my Corsair 750 power supply, so no problems there. I'm glad I researched and chose this brand for my first build.
Overall Review: You won't regret this purchase.
Pros: Nice chip and comes with free lunchbox and screwdriver set.
Cons: My free lunchbox arrived in an unacceptably damaged condition. There is a big dent in it. I will need to RMA this back to Newegg, I'm sure. My VelociRaptor drives came boxed and bubblewrapped, but not my lunchbox! It was just thrown in there with no protection whatsoever.
Overall Review: I almost went with AMD, but the lunchbox and screwdriver set tipped my decision toward Intel. Genius marketing on their part!
