Good Entry/Family PC level processor

AMD A4-3400 - A-Series APU (CPU + GPU) Llano Dual-Core 2.7 GHz Socket FM1 65W AMD Radeon HD 6410D Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic - AD3400OJHXBOX

Pros: Decent processor with onboard graphics Windows experience index of 6.3 for processor Graphics index of 6.1 Plays SWTOR on Medium settings with onboard processor

Cons: FM1 chip which limits upgrades to A8 line. The next generation A10 APU chips already use a different socket.

Overall Review: I gave it 5 eggs because it is a entry level chip with onboard graphics. It doesn't pretend to be more than it is and that is a low cost entry level chip with decent performance. I would have glady paid an extra $50 to get an A8 chip in the DIY bundle since the upgrade path of the FM1 socket is very limited.

Solid Peformance and Easy Install

Seagate Desktop HDD ST500DM002 500GB N/A 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Quick Install with SATA ready mobo and power supply Decent Price as part of DIY bundle

Cons: First one was DOA, but New Egg shipped out a new one rather quickly

Overall Review: I got this as part of the A4-3400 DIY kit offered by New Egg. As stated above the first one came DOA, but the second one installed smooth. I did notice that the second drive was more securely packaged then the original which was bubble wrapped and thrown in the box. I have had no issues with it since.
