A little wary, but good customer service

Pros: FAST on a good USB 3 controller. I get consistent large-file transfers of about 125 MB/s. I use this drive for nightly backups and it sits quietly, scooping up all the data I need it to. It uses a standard USB 3.0 micro port so if you misplace the supplied cord you can use a common micro USB cord from your phone in a pinch and replacement 3.0 cables are easy to buy online.
Cons: The first item wasn't quite DOA, but it had some unrecoverable errors during my initial 1.2 TB backup. The 2nd drive had a brief issue after a firmware update but it resolved itself. The plastic casing feels a little cheap compared to some of the nicer (and more expensive) models like the MyBook Studio but at this price, I don't expect premium aesthetic design -- it's about the same as my 2 year old MyBook Mac so at least the quality is consistent.
Overall Review: The first defective drive was exchanged by Newegg since it had only been a few weeks. I posted a review when the 2nd drive started acting up: Strange noises prompted me to run diagnostics and update firmware. After firmware update the drive was shutting itself down after 10-15 seconds of being plugged in. I submitted an RMA request to Western Digital and received a prompt reply less than 1 bus. day later. By that time the drive had apparently been rebooted enough to work normally again. There are always failures in any series of hard drives and I would prefer not to deal with issues like this, but at least with a reputable brand like there is good warranty support.
Versatile and accurate

Pros: This powered sub is a great value. I never would have expected to get something this musical for around $100. I've been moving it between rooms to determine which setting I want to keep it on and I might just have to buy another. In my office it is connected from laptop to external DAC using a simple stereo amp and the speaker-level connections. Once I got it tuned using the volume and crossover pots it is transparently imaging with my Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo One (low bass when sealed) speakers. In my basement living room I have a 5.1 channel receiver with a fixed 120hz crossover feeding the RCA inputs. My front speakers are 8" sealed Bostons (adequate bass) so I still use the PSW10's Low Frequency filter to prevent too much overlap. It adds depth to music (incl. movies w/ music) at every listening position and is very transparent. In both settings I am so pleased by the quality of bass that I might get a 2nd PSW10 instead of choosing between the two locations.
Cons: It does seem a bit large compared to some subs with similar frequency response characteristics but smaller designs cost more than this unit - space was not an important factor in my decision but it's worth noting. The low-pass adjustment ranges from 160hz to 80hz. I would like to be able to set it lower than 80hz for experimenting with the home theater - this functionality is included with most decent digital A/V receivers so it is only a limitation when using the speaker level inputs.
Overall Review: Seems to go on sale fairly often - worth the $ even off sale. Don't be fooled by the 100W amp spec. Great way to experience good bass extension or enhance a pair of bookshelf speakers without making a huge investment. Take time to adjust the cut-off (if applicable) and volume as well as placement for maximum enjoyment. At this price, you can buy a 2nd for your home theater or one for each speaker in a bookshelf setup: there are benefits to having two separate low-bass sources. Lots of information on placement strategies available on the web.
Another great wired MX

Pros: This is my second MX518 with which I'm replacing an MX500 (which lasted me almost 5 years before the buttons started to wear- I have high expectations for the MX518). Now I have the MX518 at work and at home and I couldn't be happier. This body is so comfortable for hours of use (I do a lot of drafting and a good mouse is a MUST) and the buttons are crisp. The on-the-fly adjustment settings added on the 518 are great. The value of this mouse is unbeatable.
Cons: None that I've experienced.
Overall Review: This is my second MX518. The other is about 6 months old and it works just as well as the day I opened the box.
