AMD Athlon XP 2500+ - Athlon XP Barton 1.833 GHz Socket A Processor - AXDA2500BOX

Comments: Wow. You cannot beat this processor, especially for the price. I replaced a 1ghz Athlon with this and I was blown away by the performance boost.

Comments: Not the quietest fan, but hey...it blows :o) I'm using two and they work very well.

DFI NFII ULTRA-AL 462(A) NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400 ATX AMD Motherboard

Comments: This is my first experience using a DFI board, and it was a very good one. Setup was a breeze, dual channel memory and SATA are VERY fast. Sweet board!

Good little box

ASUS 90PB05A02010A-ULZ AMD Socket A(462) SiS 740 Barebone

Comments: I have the SDRAM version of the Terminator, and I was a bit worried about the wimpy power supply. Actually runs pretty good with a 1.3ghz Athlon, 1gb RAM, Philips CDRW and 80gb Hitachi HDD. AGP support would be nice though.

For $90 you can't go wrong

TOSHIBA MK2023GAS (HDD2187) 20GB 4200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
TOSHIBA MK2023GAS (HDD2187) 20GB 4200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 2.5" Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Comments: Put this in my ancient xxxxxxxxxxx (I know, I know). Paritioned and formatted, then loaded W2K with no issues. Gets one star off for being a bit on the noisy side compared to the IBM Travelstar it replaced but otherwise, no worries with this drive. New Egg is the absolute best place to buy computer stuff, as I'm sure my Visa bill could tell you :) tracer
