Pros: Was worried about Windows 10 drivers - no problem - go to dlink's website and pull the driver from 10/7/15 and all good. Works on 3 of my laptops all with windows 10 build 10565. Exceptional coverage on 5g - I am getting 1.3 Gb/S connect to my Asus RT-AC87U with DD-WRT
Cons: well the driver is an executable vs. having a driver folder which allows manual installation. A start up item was installed to allow for the device
Pros: - Ability to run the unfettered R6300v2 firmware to get the full 1300 MBS 802.11AC wifi mode.
- relatively high performance as measured by smallnetbuilder.com
- great price for the level of performance (compares favorably to the RT-AC66U) for $64 less
- Full featured current tech router with dual (one USB 3.0) USB and gigabit ports
Cons: - silly to have a model which has hobbled firmware for a specific price point, although we can profit with a bit of work..
- the burning of the motherboard for the change from model AC1450 to R6300v2 was not simple as I did not completely read the forum instructions, my bad I guess
Overall Review: This is a very nice router for the price - $75 (-$10 coupon) I was interested in something different even though my DIR-868L was still working nicely with 802.11ac.
In testing this with the R6300 v2 184.108.40.206 firmware I have immediate connection with all devices tested: macbook pro 10.10, windows 8.1 and 10 (one device has bad driver for the 5 Ghz ac) and android 4.4.2, 4.4.4 and android L). Great throughput (I am getting 59 Mb/S on my comcast even 2 floors away from router on the 5 Ghz ac. My Clients show 867 MBS connect speed to the router, have not seen the 1300 yet but I have not spent any time adjusting the security and the radio settings yet.
All in all a fine product provided you flash this up to the unfettered condition. I have not installed dd-wrt as of yet - trying to find out how well the stock firmware is first. So far so good - will post back if I have any reliability issues.
I did not try this with the stock firmware for the AC1450 and I see from comments that this model does have some issues.
Pros: Does not need any drivers for win 7. The LED's are interesting but if you don't like them - the power switch allows you to instantly turn them off. Low grip design seems to prevent fatigue for my grip style.
Cons: no instructions whatsoever in this packaging from China. That said, everything worked fine.
Overall Review: Well I knew it would take a week and a half as the vendor was in China..and it was 10 days. The mouse is very nice for the price I paid - got it on the shell shocker. Interesting you don't need drivers, works fine and may be the best deal around for an optical gaming mouse
Pros: originally the computer reported only 767 MB available out of the 2 GB installed, after going into the bios, the available RAM now is showing as 1.75 GB. Don't know if this is a problem but I am totally satisfied now.
Cons: don't know if my RAM problem is unique, but it was annoying not to have the full use of the RAM without having to go into the BIOS to get the computer to allow full use of the RAM.
Overall Review: Otherwise my previous reviews stand, fantastic super netbook!
Pros: same as my previous review:
-Size - 12" seems like the best size for viewing, portability
-duo core means higher capability for difficult tasks
-Ion Video with total media software is fantastic for HD viewing: smooth stutter free viewing
-chiclet keyboard is nice and crisp/touchpad dots are nice
-LED 1366x768 screen is very good
- Asus' super hybrid engine feature allows control of proc speed or batt life
- windows 7 home premium is nice upgrade from 7 starter ed
Cons: when you look at the task manager or system information, you will see that the OS is seeing 767 MB of the 2 GB of RAM. I think this OS is recognizing 1 GB of the RAM and using the remaining 233 Mb of the ram for the video.
I am going to try to upgrade to the 32 Bit version of Win 7 to see if I can address more of the RAM. I have not run any complex apps yet to really tax the RAM, the OS does know that the 2 GB is there so I believe this is an artificial limit.
Overall Review: I am guessing this RAM limit is a fault of the Microsoft limits put on Netbooks but not sure yet, will report if I find good results with the 64 bit.
Pros: Purchased as soon as I saw it available on newegg. Came one day early thanks UPS. The duo core and the Ion graphics definitely bring this netbook into full usability. Using the HDMI with TV works great. The included video software does a great job.
Cons: Keyboard is flexy but highly usable. I don't like the small connector on the AC adapter. Was the same as my 1005 HA. My Acer netbook seems to have a nicer AC adapter with a wide plug which seems more durable
Overall Review: all in all a very good buy, highly portable, 12" LED is very good with good off axis usablity. The cons are not deal breakers and I would say the ION graphics with the duo core Atom are a very usable combination. Have not tried any games yet but office/web/videos from hard drive are very good.
Pros: Easy to find on the Newegg site and easy to install in the Macbook Pro Unibody. No problems since installing.
Overall Review: need small phillips, make sure you press the memory fully into the slots.
Pros: very light, ease of use, range is great, ability to flash firmware
Cons: Flashing firmware very difficult process, original fw was 3.2 and not as good as today (4.0)
Overall Review: Got this headset from newegg about a year ago due to great reviews and awards. First flash to 3.4 was quite good but the 4.0 seems even better. Fast connection to my Mogul PPC6800 and this last firwmware even corrected a connection problem for one of my customers on a Verizon 6700.
Pros: Very easy installation and function on my desktop PC's and MacBook. Had it running first attempt and installation of my old HD from the MacBook took 5 mins.
Cons: Like many products of this type, skimpy instructions
Pros: Got this motherboard with the Athlon 64 3400 combo and it worked right out of the box - love Newegg's quick delivery. Easy set up even with the minimal instructions, no problems on first day.
Cons: none so far
