happy!

Pros: lite, bright, & NEW, inexpensive, long batt. life; slick!!!
Cons: low speaker volume, disappearing or corrupting cd/dvd drivers, maybe missing a few useful connectors such as bluetooth, fire-wire, sata, express card, usb3 & etc, &&& no optical drive
Overall Review: I needed to upgrade or rather needed a notebook update because of my HP TX1220 imploding, but I think I did better getting with this than getting a typical net-book. I was kinda busy so didn't concentrate as much as I should have fixing the dvd/cd problem I had, but originally I couldn't create the restore disks as the Acer would only create the 1st one of three, and each start would have to start on #1 again. THEN, the laptop would not even recognize my two external DVD drives at all, and I tried reinstalling the drivers by removing then etc. but this didn't work after many, many tries. Called support and because it doesn't have a native optical drive, they sent me to the $59 support line. BUT...I found the "registry fixer" tiny file called CDGONE, and even though it is from about 2001, the small kb file fixed everything like a Champ! The problem and the fix seems like deja vu, but from when...? Anyway, I am now in love with this lappy!
shhould have known

Pros: sort of fitz
Cons: i bought this 2.5 years ago (actually 2X) at $42 each, the OEM HP lasted until last week. It streaks horribly!
Overall Review: I gonna try to refill the OEM HP!
with cradlepoint

Pros: This powers a CTR35 whereas lower priced but similar cables do not. It also fitted it great!
Cons: looks just like non-functional ones
really great

Pros: these are really great and i am glad i own them
Cons: needs more knives
works well with clear dongle

Pros: compact can be powered from usb with an additional cable works with a clear dongle
Cons: doesn't seem to power the clear base on usb power
ug-ed to 8gb mem & 7200rpm SG XT

Pros: I received this as a warranty replacement for a 13.3" Jan 2010 era early ultrabook, which was very poor in comparison and had been sent in twice for repairs with intervening very little use. Relative to initial prices, I asked for an i5, but this seemed a little demanding. I have had it for 10 months with 8 gb upgraded ram and a Segate 500 gb XT hybrid SSD/7200 drive and it seems pretty responsive. I upgraded the Win 7 to Pro which has better networking. Acer "would not" allow me to purchase an all damage warranty so there warranty ran out in a few months with the 2010 purchase so I got a SQ Trade warranty, all damage, which for the 1st time with a notebook I might not need to take advantage of! Overall I guess it has the features on expects from current notebooks, but has anew three year life with an external warranty purchased, without having to buy the hardware. The previous notebook gave me a poor impression of Acer, but this has rectified it. I had an Asus netbook and gave it away, also had a Toshiba and a HP notebooks and I am most happy with this one.
Cons: Could use a faster cpu I suspect.
Overall Review: Overall I am satisfied with this as a warranty replacement, though I am unsure how much my modifications have contributed to the performance as it currently stands.
