Stuck with D-Sub
Pros: Nice upgrade from my previous LCD...the widescreen is useful for spreadsheets which I do a lot of. Visually decent using D-Sub from 7900GT with a converter.
Cons: Received this monitor with a defective DVI port. Requested to return for exchange, Newegg refused and said I had to go to the Manufacturer...have tried emailing support at Sceptre with no response to date...stuck without being able to get it replaced (in the last month) and forced to use the inferior D-Sub connection without being able to alternate between two video inputs either.
No Power Cable Needed!
Pros: This card is great for systems (Such as the Dell I put it in) which do not have anything but SATA power connectors coming from the PS. No adapters to worry over, nothing to change...just pop it in and you're on some speedy video instead of the built-in... Well, worth the $$ for this price. Only comes with a VGA to DVI and S-Video cable. Runs dual DVI just fine.
Cons: None at this point - installation is a snap - as always just go to nvidia and grab the latest drivers instead of relying on what is in the box.
Great simple board
Comments: This board was a breeze to install and setup. The layout is good except for the spacing between the CPU fan lockdown and PS can be tight depending on your case. The main jumper block (Power/Reset/etc) is color coded and well documented and layed out. All the other ports are well labeled and documented as well (can toss this manual and not be in a world of hurt like with some boards). Comes with all necessary cables as well as the case adapter plate. Highly recommend this board for an easy build - perfect functionality with XP and to save yourself from Headaches.
