Awesome in 3ds Max 2011 and Maya 2011

AMD FirePro V7800 100-505604 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFire Supported Workstation Video Card
AMD FirePro V7800 100-505604 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFire Supported Workstation Video Card

Pros: This Firepro with the performance driver for max 2011 beats a Quadro 5000 without performance driver (see 3D World 136.

Cons: none

Overall Review: As a 3ds Max user, I was first concered over the act Ati does sport Physx and GPU rendering with vray... But after studying the question, I realised the latest CPU with a little overclocking are faster than any GPU solution, which are anyway too new (and buggy) and still very limited. Nothing beats raw cpu power in 2010-2011. GPU for physx and rendering are for me stil in the future. So that's great cause I don't need to pey for the high priced quadro for which everyone is rushing!

Most Critical Review

Rechargeable battery is dead.

OLYMPUS VP-10 Digital Voice Recorder, V413111BU000
OLYMPUS VP-10 Digital Voice Recorder, V413111BU000

Pros: seems to record ok

Cons: rechargeable battery is dead

Overall Review: I received it with a dead rechargeable battery. Impossible to recharge it. So I couldn't test it much.

Not working

test
test

Pros: none

Cons: I tried 4 of these (2 from another online retailer and 2 bought here from Newegg). None of them worked. And i read countless forums post from people having the same problem. Some also reported that if you plug the little fan like power cable they can catch fire.

Exactly what I wanted!

LG 42.5" 60 Hz IPS UHD 60Hz 3840 x 2160 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor 5ms (GTG) 3840 x 2160 (4K) HDMI, DisplayPort 43UD79-B

Pros: Huge! For me it's a pro I need space. Ilook at it and just smile of satisfaction! It's working without any flaw so far (except 2 dead pixels) so I guess it was well refurbished. Amzing for watching movie.

Cons: Image quality is not as good as my benq BL3200 or even my samsun synchmaster 245bw, it looks more like a tv but I knew it already from the reviews. The text look a bit weird. So not the best for reading. The box arrived almost destroyed and the Styrofoam was disintegrating and filled my office with little white balls but at least the monitor itself was intact. 2 dead pixels.

Overall Review: At first it didn't work, I installed latest nvidia driver for my gpu and restarted and then it worked. I don't know if it was just the restart or the driver. Some reviewers are complaining about some kind of shadow on the edges... I don't have that but there are some solid black gap instead.

where are thw MIO audi card?

ASUS Z8NA-D6C Dual LGA 1366 Intel 5500 ATX Dual Intel Xeon 5500 and 5600 Series Server/Workstation Motherboard
ASUS Z8NA-D6C Dual LGA 1366 Intel 5500 ATX Dual Intel Xeon 5500 and 5600 Series Server/Workstation Motherboard

Pros: Fast and affordable. edit: 2017: I bought this in 2009 and i still use it in my render farm for 3D rendering. So I think I can add long lasting!

Cons: Not a lot of space and not a lot of connectivity. I had big problems woth the onboard network card and there is no PCI-1x slot (only a MIO audio card slot for an audio card that I can't find anywhere and it looks exactly like a pci-1x slot but the manual says it is compatible. The ram is stuck between the processor and the video card and it must be heating a lot because of that.

Overall Review: Does anyone know where I can find a MIO audio card so I can free the pci card to add a working NIC?

Not worth the higher price when you don't even get advertised speed...

SAMSUNG 960 PRO M.2 512GB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V6P512BW
SAMSUNG 960 PRO M.2 512GB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V6P512BW

Pros: Still faster than most hard rive out there.

Cons: I get a read speed of 2900 instead of the advertised speed of 3500. And that is slower than the less expensive EVO drive which is around 100$ less. It's also difficult to install and detect. you have to be prepared to take the plunge in the geeks support forum... Also Samsung don't even have support by email. There is a phone number that I did try yet. I'll see what they say.

Overall Review: My system is a new Alienware Area 51 R4 with an i9-7980XE. 8GB of ram. Write speed is the advertised one at least. I have windows 10 update, cache enabled, ahci enabled, latest drive by samsung and firmware too. Optimized in samsung doctor, everything that samsung advise and still the same slower read speed. The M.2 drive is installed directly onboard in an M.2 slot.
