A Solid External SSD

Pros: Don't confuse this thing with a USB Flash Drive. It is a real SSD with wear levelling and the performance of a true SSD. I boot and run Ubuntu 15 on a variety of different machines. It is excellent to be able to carry your entire working environment in your pocket. It seems to be about as fast as an internal SATA 3 SSD.
Cons: It could be even smaller. It blocks adjacent USB ports on some machines. It is a little expensive per Gigabyte for an SSD.
Overall Review: This drive works as advertised. Good portable boot drive. Congratulations Corsair on a fine product.
SF850 SFX Power Suplly - really excellent

Pros: Hello I upgraded the GPU in my partner's mini-itx gaming rig. The old GPU had only a few millimeters clearance between it's fan and the full ATX power supply. The new GPU was thicker and would not even fit into the chassis so I bought this SFX supply. Now there is plenty of space between the GPU and the power supply. The GPU barely hits 60C under stress testing. I love the zero rpm mode of this supply. Most of the time the computer is not working hard and the power supply fan doesn't even turn on. The 80 Plus Platinum efficiency probably helps here. Even when gaming the supply is quiet. The supply is fully modular and the cables are high quality. The supply comes with a cable for the new 4+12 connector. No adapter is needed which makes for a cleaner build. I used the included ATX to SFX adapter plate.
Cons: - prices have gone up a lot in the last couple of years on computer components. This supply is over $200US.
Overall Review: - I recommend this premium supply. I think I will never buy another ATX supply.
small form factor, big power

Pros: - size - cables - zero rpm fan - always quiet
Cons: Price
Overall Review: I used this to get into an Ncase M2. It runs great in that box. The shorter SFF cables keep it clean.
Corsair H75 is Groovy

Pros: - delta T = 20C compared to stock Intel cooler. - quiet when not under full load. - fits in Mini-ITX box - push-pull fan configuration. - affordable - This thing has run continuously in a couple of different small form factor cases since 2015. It never gave me any trouble. UPDATE: in the year 2025 this cooler is still going strong.
Cons: - introduces water to the inside of your PC - weak instructions
Overall Review: In order to fit this into my box I had to orient the radiator with the hoses on the side, not the bottom. The instructions do not say if this is OK so I just tried it, success so far! chassis = Sugo SG05 Mini-ITX motherboard = ASRock z97e-ITX/AC CPU = Intel Core I7 4790K
CORSAIR NAUTILUS 240 RS

Pros: - no light effects - strait forward assembly and control - clean appearance
Cons: - cpu block height (easily fixed)
Overall Review: Hello, I want to rebuild my mini-itx system in a very small Lian Li A4 H2O or Fractal Design Era 2 case. I had been cooling my CPU with an Artic Freezer II 240mm but the cpu block has the hoses coming out in a fixed strait-up direction. Also, the radiator plus fan thickness is too big to fit. This Corsair cooler is compact and clean. The cpu block is too high but the top half of it is empty space and the tall top hat can be pried off to give a block height of only about 45mm. Wiring is very strait forward. The two radiator fans daisy chain and the single four-pin pwm connector goes to the cpu fan connector. The cpu block has a four pin connector to the water pump connector on the motherboard. Everything is controlled by the motherboard bios settings. All the pieces looked high quality including the black screws and backplate. The hoses look durable. The radiator looks great but is not so thick to limit case selection. I have another Corsair AIO that has been running for about 10 years without a problem. I hope this one is as reliable.
plug and play on Ubuntu 24

Pros: This card only needs a single slot. I added this card to a very small file server box. It worked with both the open source driver and the Nvidia driver. It draws all its power from the pcie slot and doesn't need an additional power connection.
Cons: I don't think the fan on this card has a zero rpm mode.
Overall Review: Allows me to connect a monitor to my file server.
good quality, good price
This is a large mouse pad with stitched edges that should not unravel. The bottom is non-slip rubber. The top is cloth covered.
