Spectacular start for eyefinity
Pros: Dual bios allows for "experimentation" with other cards bios...that works. Runs an eyefinity rig on an old core 2 duo chip at 5760x1080 with respectable framerates.
Cons: Doesn't do my laundry.
Overall Review: Couldn't be happier. Will likely crossfire to crank up detail in eyefinity when $ allows.
BIG
Pros: Large, Quiet
Cons: Large...fan gets all up in my first memory dimm's bizness (GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.3)). Requires bottom bracket which might not be an easy feat if considering a CPU fan upgrade. Much easier to install as part of a new build. Was a pain to retrofit into my gen 1 Antec 900.
Overall Review: Instructions were not especially helpful...
Good for price, one dead pixel
Pros: Bright, crisp, light
Cons: Arrived with one dead pixel. Stickers leave residue behind when peeling off.
Overall Review: The dead pixel isnt' that noticable, and was a risk i was willing to take for this price on a monitor. No real complaints, but kept @ 4 eggs for that reason.
Budget build combo...definitely budget
Pros: Fit a microATX mobo; cheap.
Cons: SATA power connections on included power supply doesn't allow placing drives too far apart...had to use an additional 4-pin connection. Feels cheap, side panels aren't flush; decal on power button fell off, no HDD led.
Overall Review: Definitely cheap, but for 40 bucks including power supply it works for a builder on a budget.
Part of a budget build
Pros: Good size, good amount of features for the price, ASUS brand.
Cons: Southbridge heatsink seemed a little loose, but no functional issues. Couldn't unlock my AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana...but might not be mobo fault.
Overall Review: Can't beat it for the price. Humor in the BIOS is a nice touch ("disable the cores you don't like").
Good panel especially for price
Pros: Perfect for eyefinity setup. Price is right, display pretty. Thin, LED, lower power.
Cons: Some ghosting in eyefinity, but only on the panel that is hooked through the active displayport adapter. I don't believe it's the panel's problem.
Overall Review: Combined with ergotech triple stand and an XFX 6950 for the start of an eyefinity rig. Even though i'm running an old core 2 duo, i can command respectable framerates by dialing back AA/detail. Can't be a whole lot happier, unless they would do my laundry.
