Pros: Worked sometimes. When displayed, 1920x1200 image looked perfect. One of few units to do dual displayport switching. Seperate audio switching option.
Cons: "Looses" 2nd PC's monitor frequently - would not bring up a picture. Had to power cycle KVM to get picture back. Occasionally, keyboard seemed to stick on a character, and instead of 'you', I suddently have 'youuuuuuuuuuuu'. Dissapointing for a higher priced switch.
Overall Review: 2 PC's - (1) Windows 7 box and (1) Ubuntu Linux box 11.04 (Dell Optiplex 790 w/ Intel HD2000 graphics). HP ZR24w 1920x1200 monitor. I returned this setup and went to a IOGEAR switch and DVI ports.
Pros: It did protect the PC that was attached...
They are lower priced - but also low quality. Sorry Tripp-Lite, but this is the second time I've been burned by your products.
Cons: I'm a systems administrator at a company and we have many UPS's running. This came as a "freebie" with a big computer order I placed.
It worked until the first storm came through. All of the APC units held up and worked fine - even on the same circuit. This one dropped out and is fried. Does not work anymore. Will not even pass power.
Overall Review: We have some 15 year old Tripp Lite UPS's that work like champs. I just keep replacing batteries and they keep working. The new products just must not be the same quality.
APC is the way to go. Excellent products and support.
Pros: I have 5 of these installed in a RAID 5 array on a server. No problems so far. No DOA's. Work as expected.
Cons: none so far
