Works well with Samsung S8
Pros: Works well with Samsung S8 SM-G950U. Network speeds are fantastic. The USB connection is very stable and seemed to have steady and high transfer speeds. The HDMI port functions very nicely for the few things I checked.
Cons: Doesn't seem to support fast charging but the charge rate with Samsung fast charger is very high. HDMI Playback is very clean. YouTube has a slight audio delay. NetFlix does not though. Would pay extra for longer, 4' to 6' cable rather than 4" to 6".
Overall Review: Great for the phone but the short cable isn't super for a phone. Would recommend this device.
Mixed but so far it's ... okay...
Pros: Great price, simple setup and HHD installation. Full D1 is great even though only 2 channels can be set to that resolution and halfD1 on the other 2 channels. Browser plug-in is compatible with IE7 to view great video. Cameras have very low noise with good contrast, good stray light rejection and are solid and well built. The IR light is plenty bright for detail to at least 20'. Play back application works with Win7 and produces good quality video if set to D1 or 1/2 D1 on the record settings. Browser plug-in can be installed with and install program if Active-X or the OS does not allow the plug-in to be installed normally.
Cons: Browser plug-in is NOT IE8 compatible (so far) to view video in XP or Win7, other setup functions work in IE8 just not the video. In IE7 with XP the "LIVE" video is delayed 8 seconds but seems a lot longer! Is not and is not planned to be compatible with FireFox browser. There is no other way to interface with the DVR by network without the browser running the plug-in. Tech support is a joke, less than helpful, suspect they can not read English or are not familiar with the product. Cameras have somewhat poor color saturation but otherwise function very well. Camera IR LEDs glow visible red during operation.
Overall Review: Overall this is a good value if you can live with, avoid or overcome the obstacles on your own. MFG web page FAQ were not helpful. A 500gig HHD gets about 3+ weeks recording with recording set to 12fps @ 2 cameras on D1 and the other 2 on 1/2 D1 on motion detection.
Did I get what is in this ad?! R/W up to 150/140 MB/s vs R/W up to 100/90 MB/s
Pros: Specs on the retail packaged card are not the same as in the ad. The actual memory card has the same markings. Not sure what I need to do about this deceptive bait and switch tactic. I don't like A++z+n but this is garbage.
Cons: Not what was advertised! Ad shows: R/W up to 150/140 MB/s BUT Retail package states: R/W up to 100/90 MB/s
Overall Review: This is why 9 out of the last 10 electronics/computer items I've purchased hasn't been from NewEgg!
Works well with Samsung S8
Pros: Full hardwired ethernet speed to the phone. My service is just over 200mb/sec Charging of the phone with power source plugged into adapter. Phone can power adapter if power source isn't available. Has both card slots, can use either one at a time. Arrived very quickly after ordering.
Cons: White ethernet activity light is very bright when it flashes. The ethernet connected LED is of normal brightness. Does not give up the active network connection very quickly after the phone is unplugged, but does not seem to cause an issue with the network. Need to use full wired C-type extension cable for convenient use on the phone. PD Does not seem to support fast charging.
Overall Review: Great value, glad I ordered 2 when they were on sale.
Works well. Pleased with them.
Pros: Long cord with volume and switch control. Crisp sound and mic performs well. Very comfortable head strap and suspension.
Cons: Don't really pick up on any 7.1 sound effects but it does sound better with it turned on. Having LEDs on cause noise in headset. Cord to volume/switch module is shorter than I would like and it's a little heavy.
Overall Review: Would purchase again at the price I paid. I wonder if there is anything that could be done with the mic when it's not in use, maybe a cord clip or something.
Very good value. Packed well.
Pros: Item arrived in great shape. No noticeable weld burrs or protruding cut wire rungs. Build quality seemed very good. Light weight.
Cons: Wire rungs on shelves are almost twice as far apart as the shelves from the member stores. The gauge or stiffness of the wire may be lower or just seem that way since there are fewer of them. Missing the frame wire next to the pole cone while using a rubber mallet to set the shelves would slightly bend the larger wire frame.
Overall Review: I found that placing the shims on the poles then sliding them down to snap into the notch was more effective than just trying to snap them on where you think they go. A couple light taps on the outer frame with a rubber mallet next the pole cone set the shelves in place.
Docking station works. USB Speed well below USB3.
Arrived quickly and on time. Haven't tried the duplication feature. USB speed is well below USB3 speeds for all drives tried.
Picture converter works reasonably well.
Picture converter seems to work reasonably well. Colors look pretty good but haven't tried to calibrate or correct things yet. Conversions are very fast! I like the live image to position photos. Compression seems good. Max resolution is only available with the largest picture, resolution scales down with the size of the picture. The corner reference inserts / picture size presets are about 1/8" to 1/4" less than the pictures I've tried so far. Great for sharing regular pictures, for serious photo preservation stick to a high resolution flatbed scanner. EXIF Data is full of clutter!
