Pros: Reliable Small Front ports & LEDs (perfect for network closet, lab, bench, etc.) Sturdy metal case Easy to wall-mount
Cons: Blades on the power adapter are aligned so that it doesn't fit into power strips designed to fit adapters (same as on all Netgear devices).
Overall Review: This switch has been in use constantly for over a year. It's been through some brief power outages & brown-outs, and was working flawlessly immediately after. I've had to power-cycle my router, MODEM, and other switches several times, but this GS108 has just kept plugging along without a hiccup. Reliability is key with this type of device, and this one won't let you down.
Further update
Pros: Tab key, USB hub, Excellent Customer Service
Cons: poor key sensitivity, no accuracy, just plain bad design (Sorry Rosewill/Newegg, but great Customer Service just can't make up for a lousy product.)
Overall Review: For the first few days, the replacement I received worked fairly well; but then it started malfunctioning just like the original one. I took one of them apart, and am shocked at just how stupidly this thing was designed. As a PC/Laptop/Server Tech; and a former TV, stereo, VCR, camcorder Tech; I have seen the insides of a LOT of different types of buttons, switches, keypads, etc. This type of rubber pad virtually always has a coated surface that is anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4" pad that makes contact to complete a circuit (for each key). This piece of junk has tiny little pinpoint contacts, hidden deep inside flimsy little rubber cones, that frequently miss thier targets. I can't imagine why anybody would go out of their way to re-engineer a time-tested design, in a way that makes it so much less reliable. Absolutely pathetic. I'm back to using my old Gemini keypad -- I'd rather block my USB port & not have a TAB key, than keep letting this thing mess up my numbers. DO NOT BUY!!
Decent low beam lamps
Pros: Very good bulbs for the (sale) price.
Cons: Not as bright as Sylvania SilverStar Ultra
Would not buy again
Pros: Worked fine at first
Cons: Easily corrupted and not repairable No real support available No format utility available from Toshiba
Overall Review: Tried to use this as a boot drive. The bootable image used was bad, and corrupted the drive. Now it only shows 1GB available. Deleted the partition. With no existing partitions on the drive, only able to create up to 1.36GB partition on what used to be an 8GB drive -- even using several different partition utilities and USB-specific format utilities.
As Described
Pros: Compatible Simple install
Cons: None
Overall Review: Installed in seconds in a P2015dn. Printer recognized the full amout of RAM immediately upon 1st power-up after install. The print queue on my laptop clears much more quickly, as the printer accepts jobs more easily (allowing the laptop to work more efficiently). I haven't noticed any other significant performance improvements; but I haven't really been doing any complex printing jobs. This RAM is completely compatible & functional in the P2015 printers. Don't bother paying top dollar for the HP-branded stuff.
Update
Pros: Tab key, USB hub
Cons: Larger than similar keypads, keys not very sensitive.
Overall Review: Just wanted to make an update after my last review. When I first received the keypad, I thought it was just very badly designed. But after contacting Rosewill (per their reply to my review), they sent me a replacement (very quickly, and no hassle whatsoever) which works MUCH better than the original one. The keys still aren't quite as sensitive as I am used to, but it works pretty well in general; and it's nice to have the Tab key & USB hub built into it. Thank you Newegg / Rosewill for offering & sending the replacement. Top-notch Customer Service.
Although it took a long time to get here, it did arrive on-time, in perfect condition, and as described.
