Quiet, Fast, Robust, well thought out!

HP ProLiant Ultra Micro Tower MicroServer System AMD Athlon II NEO N36L 1.3 GHz 1GB DDR3 1 x 160GB Non-hot-plug LFF SATA 612275-001
HP ProLiant Ultra Micro Tower MicroServer System AMD Athlon II NEO N36L 1.3 GHz 1GB DDR3 1 x 160GB Non-hot-plug LFF SATA 612275-001

Pros: _Dual Core power _uses ECC RAM _Torx Key and screws for hard drives included in server door _On-Motherboard USB port for USB embedded OS'es _Very quiet, stays cool!

Cons: _Does not support Raid 5, 0+1....0 and 1 only _Included 160 GB HDD...WHY? It's practically useless in a machine like this _Only 1GB RAM _Only 2 USB ports in back _non 'multiplex' eSATA port in back

Overall Review: Great machine, well thought out, hardware RAID on the motherboard. For such a well thought out machine, it seems odd that HP would include only 1GB RAM and a pathetic 160GB HDD. Might be okay for testing, but jeez, 160GB? I would have liked to pay $20 less and they can keep the 160GB Drive. works great with W7Ultimate and FreeNAS(via VMWare)

HP ProLiant Ultra Micro Tower MicroServer System AMD Athlon II NEO N36L 1.3 GHz 1GB DDR3 1 x 160GB Non-hot-plug LFF SATA 612275-001
HP ProLiant Ultra Micro Tower MicroServer System AMD Athlon II NEO N36L 1.3 GHz 1GB DDR3 1 x 160GB Non-hot-plug LFF SATA 612275-001

Pros: RAID still going strong. stays nice and cool....still quiet and reliable!

Cons: see below

Overall Review: OK a couple quirks... The internal SATA port uses a SATA to PATA bridge, meaning it is basically an IDE interface..not a big deal if you use an Optical Drive, but the bandwidth is questionable. One odd feature.. it seems odd that they would include a SATA port for the 5.25" bay but leaves a molex power connector dangling inside the bay...which makes it necessary to purchase an aftermarket molex to SATA power adapter. Nonetheless the HDD(my boot drive) performs well in the ODD bay.

Really nice

SIIG JK-WR0312-S1 Black Wireless Multi-Touchpad Mini Keyboard
SIIG JK-WR0312-S1 Black Wireless Multi-Touchpad Mini Keyboard

Pros: _Works even with USB dongle hidden from view from 15+' away _Light and somewhat rugged _Built in hot keys are a helpful addition _The palmrest is a nice touch, makes it feel more like a laptop _Keys are well sized for the most part has F-keys _Two-finger scroll works great _Trackpad works very well

Cons: _wish it had a trackpoint (like lenovos) _on system startup, NUMLock is active by default...have to disable it on every boot _for such a high price, I would have expected a nicer overall build quality or material feel...but still it's rugged enough...utilitarian _the graphics (specifically the two fingers printed just adjacent the trackpad) is hideous!

Overall Review: This keyboard is perfect for my HTPC. When I need to do more than what I can do with my IR Remote control, this keyboard works very well. In fact, it is nearly the exact same size as my Lenovo X301 keyboard. I'm so glad I didn't purchase a standard wireless keyboard. The NUMLock issue isn't so bad but one egg off for that.

Works simply and powerfully

ZOTAC ION Graphics Processor 512MB DDR3 PCI Express x1 Low Profile Ready Video Card ION-GPU-A-E
ZOTAC ION Graphics Processor 512MB DDR3 PCI Express x1 Low Profile Ready Video Card ION-GPU-A-E

Pros: Great value GPU to divert graphics output from motherboard. no driver updates or installs necessary while using windows 7 Ultimate. true plug and play.

Cons: the name Zotac is kinda ghetto..but the product is awesome.

Overall Review: I use this for piping out 1080p mkv to a 40" HDTV and it has NOT disappointed. i'm not a gamer so I cannot comment on how it would work drawing a gajillion polys but for my purposes it's quite awesome. I was told to get much more expensive GPU's which cost 100-150 more, which sounded ridiculous and I'm glad I went with this one.

33% Fail Rate, but great drives!

HGST Deskstar 7K1000.C 0F10383 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
HGST Deskstar 7K1000.C 0F10383 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Well, I ordered 2 drives, one was DOA. 50% fail rate! lol The one that worked is great..quiet and fast. After over 20 years, I've never had a Hitachi drive die on me so this was a first.

Cons: I received a replacement through Newegg and it worked just like the first drive. That bumped the fail rate down to 33% lol

Overall Review: great drives, I've always used hitachi on all my systems.
