Nice turn key I7 system

HP Desktop PC Pavilion Elite HPE-250F Intel Core i7-860 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD ATI Radeon HD 5770 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Pros: A lot of machine for the dollar (paid $999 on sale). If you were to build one yourself you might save a little but not much. It is a very well thought out machine and chassis. I believe HP better supports their products than some of the cheaper off brand PC's. Their web site is excellent for drivers Etc.

Cons: Cost. As stated there are cheaper off brand PC's out there.

Overall Review: Its an HP and I hope I get 4 years out of it like my last HP machine.

True sine wave UPS output

APC Smart-UPS SMT1000 1000 VA 700 Watts 8 Outlets UPS
APC Smart-UPS SMT1000 1000 VA 700 Watts 8 Outlets UPS

Pros: True sine wave output ups. Very fast swich over time as it is line interactive.

Cons: Price. All sine wave output UPS models by any manufacturer are very pricy.

Overall Review: You get what you pay for. There is a reason most large businesses use APC for the UPS and not some off brand. Kind of like Cisco in the networking world.

Great bang for the buck

LINKSYS WET610N Gaming and Video Adapter 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4/5GHz Dual Band up to 300Mbps/ Wireless your Blu-ray, Game Console
LINKSYS WET610N Gaming and Video Adapter 802.11a/b/g/n 2.4/5GHz Dual Band up to 300Mbps/ Wireless your Blu-ray, Game Console

Pros: This is basically a plug and play type of device. Plug it into a router that offers DHCP addresses, put in the management CD, configure the device and you are ready to go. I am using it as a network bridge to connect two separate LAN segments at my house that would be difficult to do by hard wire. The fact that it supports both 2.4 and 5 ghz is nice to. I have it bridging in the 5 ghz range were there is much less interference.

Cons: The only con is the $80 price. For not much more you can have a full wireless router.

Overall Review: After all LinkSys is part of Cisco so you would expect a good experience ;-).
