Most Critical Review

Great board, except having USB 3.0 issues

ASUS Prime Z370-A LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Prime Z370-A LGA 1151 (300 Series) Intel Z370 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Great layout Nice Features Easy assemby

Cons: The board, CPU, Ram posted and seem very stable and quick. My problem revolves around the internal USB 3.0 ports. I have installed two different Rosewill Card Readers and now an AFT Pro-37U card reader and still have intermittent USB 3.0 disconnects and reconnects (about every 3 minutes) whether your using the reader or not. I have worked with both Rosewill and AFT tech support and neither company can figure out what is happening, but both companies think there is something wrong with the ports on the board or a compatibility problem with Microsoft USB driver in Win 10 (dated 2006) and motherboard. I contacted ASUS tech support and they walked me through their (obviously scripted troubleshooting) and eventually said I would have to send the board in for troubleshooting and repair, no exchange or refund. Unfortunately I tried to use the tech support options to fix the board and now I am past my 30 day return window with Newegg so I am forced to decide if I want to wait 3 to 4 weeks for ASUS to evaluate and repair or never use internal 3.0 headers.

Overall Review: I have been using ASUS board for 20+ years and have been an ASUS fan until now. I think overall the board is fantastic but if you can't use the internal USB 3.0, now matter how great everything else on the board functions it is useless. Come on ASUS do a little research and figure out why your USB ports are not working properly, or provide a USB driver that functions.
