Pros: Purchased to install in Samsung Galaxy S5 phones to increase picture storage during trip. Both Installed and were immediately recognized by phone. Set default picture storage to SD card. Took regular single pictures with good results. No observable delays with photos. Some other reviewers
Cons: I think there has been a very slight decrease in battery life since installing the card.
Overall Review: Some other reviewers have cautioned about delays with video and burst mode photos when recording directly to SD cards but I didn't observe this. I only tried a couple of times. I don't use my phone for video or burst mode pictures.
Pros: The device worked out of the box as expected. The temperature readings appear to agree very well with a standard thermometer.` Even the supplied battery worked.
Cons: The holster is more like a kids toy but what can you expect for the price.
Pros: I bought two for downloading pictures from my Galaxy S5 phone while on a month+ long trip. I used an OTG cable to mate to my phone and both units I purchased were identified and files copied and manipulated by my phone. Then the pictures were transferred to a laptop and a desktop computer. The phone and computers all recognized the drive when attached. It took less than 5 seconds to copy 252 pictures from the phone to the drive. This seems acceptable to me but I am not trying for speed here. My phone battery decreased 1% to attach the drive, make a directory, copy the files, delete the files and dismount the drive. This seems fairly good for power draw.
There is a little hole in the plastic "handle" that could have a fine wire through it to attach a lanyard so it doesn't get lost. Someone commented that the drive is so small you could easily lose it. I am just marking one of the drives with a colored dot and tying them together to prevent loss.
Cons: none so far. I will update after my trip if I learn something.
Pros: After installing new batteries, the scale powered up successfully. The scale zeroed and tared correctly.
The weight of known items were within 1 gram up to several kilograms.
The total weight measured of 6 items was within 1 gram of the sum of the individual item weights.
The weights during addition matched the weights during removal of the items.
10 weighings of a 500 ml bottle of water averaged 530 grams (center ed on scale)- lowest reading 529, highest reading 531.
There appeared to be only +/- 1 gram difference in measurement values with a load in any of the 4 corners or the center.
The units matched the calculated values of the same items weighed in different units.
The display is easy to read in any light (but see cons below)
There are rubber feet that make a non-skid surface.
The hanging hole is a nice feature.
Cons: The included batteries were already installed and DOA. Gave me a momentary scare but fresh batteries worked.
The measurement surface is fairly small -big enough for a 2 cup measuring container or small mixing bowl. Larger items will make it difficult to read the display unless you balance them on a spacer or offset to the rear.
The surface looks like it would be difficult to clean if you spilled on it and it doesn't look waterproof. I will just cover it with a layer of plastic wrap.
I think the small weighing platform is the only thing that will annoy me in the long run.
Overall Review: If you are looking for a low cost scale that works well, this looks like a good item.- make sure you don't rely on the included batteries.
I bought it for weighing items for a backpacking trip (as well as kitchen measurements). I already knew I would have to weigh in at least 2 parts (pack totals @ 20 pounds) but I will have to be more creative about weighing big items so I can see the display.
Pros: Disks arrived quickly. They were packaged appropriately and arrived in good shape. So far all disks have worked without flaw.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: I purchased these with the white blank label so I could write the contents on them.
Pros: It plugs in. The voltage seems right.
Cons: There was no instructions with this unit. The current measurement reads differently when the same load is plugged into the 2 outputs? The current reads ~0.8A when I try to charge my Galaxy S5 using the original 2 Amp charger. Either this unit defeats the 2 amp charging logic, acts as a resistance in line or it just reads low.
Overall Review: I recommend you try a different device
Pros: Update from my earlier review. I got ahold of Celeste at ASUS who offered to replace my "dead" monitor. I would like to commend Celeste on her responsiveness. I found her email address on one of the other reviews and she responded the next day. After emailing back and forth, I looked at the power connection again. It turned out to be a bent power pin so I couldn't get power. After straightening the pin, the system worked fine, with no dead pixels. The color is great when using HDMI.
Cons: I wish the system would startup in HDMI mode if you have a HDMI cable installed. The menu controls take a little time to get used to. Once setup, it works fine.
