Versatile product
Pros: quality construction
Cons: power supply is 12V/2A... so it's only about 24W capable?
Overall Review: I'm using this with a LightScribe burner rated at 5V/1.5A & 12V/1.5A. That calculates out to 25.5W max total. This LS-DVD burner is currently working OK with this power supply. I have another spare LightScribe burner rated at 5V/2A & 12V/2.5A which I haven't tried. At a possible 40W total draw, will not try that one. Don't know what specs to believe. FWIW, my external M-Disc burner has a 12V/3A power supply. I also have several portable (USB powered, 5V only) optical drives, and each of these draws less than 10W (actual measurements.)
What I needed
Pros: meets specs
Cons: none
Overall Review: After updating an older PC from Win7 to Win10, it appeared that the original 4 GB of RAM just wasn't really enough (50% useage at idle.) Replaced one 2 GB stick with this 8 GB stick, now have 10 GB to work with (~20% RAM useage by the OS at idle now.) Tested OK in this AMD E-450 system using both Windows Memory Diagnostic & Memtest86+ v. 5.01.
Two Good Reasons
Pros: quality construction
Cons: none
Overall Review: #1 Allows for easier flashdrive access to my "Floor Model" (AKA Desktop) computer's USB ports. #2 Prevents excess wear & eventual failure of my computer's USB port connectors.
Not Perfect, but...
Pros: Updated a Win7 OK
Cons: Some Quirks
Overall Review: Used this disc to update a Win7-Home computer which had all its updates current to 1-15-2020.It created a Win10-Home (v.1909, Build 18363.418) & the OS "activated" OK online.Prior to this success, I first tried to install the Win10 over a clean re-install of my Win7 OS (circa 2012.)Same original hardware, but got "reserve" partition errors. Failed to install & same errors in Virtual Box.So... restored the Win7 with my latest 2020 backup image... then on to success.
Great for urban areas with strong signal strength.
Pros: Radio has every feature imaginable.
Cons: Features have limited availability.
Overall Review: The Hybrid Digital (HD1,2,3) subchannels have power levels 1% to 10% of the primary analog channel. RBDS data, EAS alerts are only on some broadcasts. In the "RF hole" I live in, I had to attach ~12 ft of #18 hook-up wire tacked up at the ceiling for an FM antenna extension. Not pretty, but it helps.
More than a "port saver"
Pros: quality construction
Cons: none
Overall Review: I'm using this to allow easy access to a currently mounted HDD "rust" drive (buried behind the optical drive in my "slim" desktop computer) which I've cloned to a SSD & now only use the HDD as a backup. My MB doesn't have enough SATA sockets, so moving cables are my only option. This cable is for the DATA connection, so I'm also using a power "Y" splitter as an entender.
