Silverstone G11303050-RT 6 in. Internal 19-Pin USB3.0 to USB2.0 Adapter Cable Male to Female

Pros: Easy to install. Works perfectly so far.

Cons: None.

nice USB mike

Blue Yeti USB Microphone - Silver
Blue Yeti USB Microphone - Silver

Pros: Very high quality sound when using Audacity to record solo acoustic guitar. The microphone worked right away, I'm recording using the stereo pattern at about 12" -- it gives more "presence" than the other patterns for what I'm doing.

Cons: Minor: I'd prefer that it not use a mini-USB plug into mike.

Fairly good

Rosewill RNX-N150PCe - Wireless N150 Wi-Fi Adapter - IEEE 802.11b/11g/11n, (1T1R), Up to 150 Mbps Data Rates, PCIe 2.0 Interface, WPS Supported

Pros: Installed without problems in new desktop build (Windows 7). Worked immediately and since then (1 week) without problems. Good for the price.

Cons: Limited range. Only 3 bars from my home router w/added signal booster located upstairs, whereas the stock laptop sitting next to my new build gets 4 bars. I did install the software/drivers for the card.

Good so far

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Posted correctly the first time in my new build (w/Intel Core i7 2600K), and continues to operate flawlessly so far (1 week). Good capability for the price.

Cons: None significant, but see below.

Overall Review: Note that this MOBO does not contain an internal USB3 header connector (and doesn't claim to). This means if you have a case with a front-panel USB3 port and a cable terminating in a 20-pin USB3 female connector, you have nowhere to plug it in. You'll either need to buy converter cables/adapters to route outside the case to plug into an external port, or buy an add-on PCIe card with an accessible internal USB3 header (20-pin male). Or just live with a dead USB3 front-panel port. Making that front-panel port functional implies incurring an added cost & headache that is avoided when the MOBO includes an internal USB3 header. Why can't MOBO suppliers and/or case suppliers include a tiny MOBO internal speaker/beeper to enable hearing the post beeps? It would cost them less than a dollar. Scavenging a beeper from previous builds is annoying... :-)

Good so far

Plextor M3 Series 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PX-128M3
Plextor M3 Series 2.5" 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) PX-128M3

Pros: Installed, configured, and operating with no problems so far (1 week) in new build. Never imagined a boot so fast (about 15-20 seconds in Win 7, not counting the time it takes me to enter a password).

Cons: Pretty fast, but not yet getting quite the read/write speeds I expected from specs and reviews I've seen. May be a MOBO issue.
