Pros: Very fast and quiet, as cool as my stock 80GB drive. Low activity sees 35oC and high activity is 45oC
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: hdparm -tT shows: Timing cached reads: 2320 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1160.25 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 208 MB in 3.00 seconds = 69.24 MB/sec Which is better than my SATA desktop drives. I am very pleased with this. It is close to the speed of some of my faster SATA drives in RAID 1.
Wish I hadn't got this....

Pros: Fast, large capacity.
Cons: Price. With all the hassle we've had to put up with from these drives I'm surprised they are still so expensive! I bought these a while back when the firmware issue happened; what a pain! I had to call Seagate support 5 times before they would send me the email with the firmware upgrade.
Overall Review: If I could go back, I would have bought 1TB WD drives. Support has always been better (IMO) with WD and no firmware issues.... cheaper too!
Avoid like the plague

Pros: Low cost when purchased 2 years ago
Cons: Reliability. I purchased 4 of these originally. I've had to RMA each of them at least twice (some of them are on their 3rd or 4th...) They seem to last around 6 months before failing. This is in several different computers/environments. At this point it seems cheaper to buy new ones than to keep putting up with the headache/shipping fees. Do yourself a favor and avoid Seagate... there's a reason they've slashed the warranties lately.
Fan failed in < 6 months

Pros: Looks nice, fan was quiet
Cons: Fan failed (won't even move). CPU was pushing 90oC Fan was so quiet I didn't notice when it failed...
Seagate decline in quality

Pros: Cheap on black friday, was not DOA
Cons: 5900RPM offers poor performance. 2 year warranty reflects Seagates continuing decline of quality. (Have had 4 seagate drives fail in the fast two months) Remember when Seagate had the longest warranty? (5 years on average) Save yourself a headache; get WD or any brand with a decent warranty.
Slow as molasses

Pros: Cheap, small size, works
Cons: Bought two of these, both took over 20 minutes to format NTFS! The reviews warned me these were slow, but I've never had a flash drive so slow (Even my old 128MB is faster than these!).
Overall Review: Unless you are never going to write to these, spend an extra buck or two and go with someone other than A-DATA.
