Pros: Out of about 150 bought so far, only 1 has come up DOA. Much much MUCH of an improvement over our previous choice in PSU's (antec smart-power).
Cons: Minimal connectors, non-sheathed cables.
Overall Review: None have died on us yet that didn't come DOA.
Pros: Hugely improved graphics over the previous versions. They also took out the tedious and pointless tasks and make them more automated, so you can focus more on your overall strategy instead of micro-managing each worker. It is now possible to complete a game in an hour, if you want a quick game (tho you can still have long epic games).
Cons: Very demanding on resources. While it runs fine on my Radeon 9800 Pro, 1GB RAM, Athlon 64 3500+, it doesn't run very well on a Geforce 3 Ti500, 512MB RAM, Athlon 2500.
Overall Review: Great game, defineatly tons of replay value. A must for fans of the series, and anyone who likes the genre.
Comments: For the money, you can't beat these things. I've used two in two different computers after the stock chipset fan died. Using them to replace the northbridge cooler, they work well. Double check to make sure you have room, as the first one barely fit between capacitors.
If your board doesn't have the pin-holders, you can apply it with the supplied self-adhesive tape.
Comments: We've used probably 100 of these now for clients and they always work great. Make sure you upgrade the firmware while you're installing (easy interface to do this) and the router has all the functions that small offices or home users need.
Comments: Overall a great laptop for the price. We bought two of them and have had no issues. They don't come bundled with all the junk software that the more common brands do. The only downside is that the battery lasts about 1.5 hours, but that's not a huge concern/
Comments: Great price on these things now. Best time to buy one before the 64bit AMD's become standard. Still a great speed and performance producer.
Comments: Nice heatsink and fan combo. Running it on a 2800+ Barton, and it keeps it under 52C with full load (SETI running for days). Install was pretty standard for AMD coolers, so no complaints there. Running it at max speed (~4500 RPM) it gets a little noisy, but the coolness factor of it's looks make up for it.
Go buy one.
