Pros: Very happy with this OS. 7 is intuitive and the 64 bit version is utilizing the hardware much more efficiently.
Also, so far, this version seems to have some x86 compatability based on the programs and games that I have installed and used/played (DVD Flick, Orange Box and others).
Great Price for OEM.
Cons: Doesn't like Office XP x86 (at least Outlook).
Overall Review: Was using XP Pro x86 SP3 and did a clean install with this OS on a socket 939 MB with an X2 AMD64 and 3 GB of ram in dual channel config and Windows 7 makes it run like i bought all new hardware.
Take that Mac Guy.
Pros: So far I have used this mouse for some gaming (Assassin's Creed and Orange Box) and for some internet browsing.
I have to say that for the price this mouse is very impressive. Love the dpi switch.
Overall Review: For this price, I decided to finally upgrade from my old 6 or 7 year old Logitec Black wheel mouse and I'm glad I did. This one is far superior.
I don't understand the complaints about the weight because this one is heavier than my logitec and any of the other mice I have encountered in my job aside from the wireless which have batteries.
Newegg is a great source for new hardware and I always seem to find what I need here. So far, nothing I have ordered from Newegg has arrived damaged. From OEM processors to motherboards and memory to this mouse.
Pros: Card reader works very well on SD and SDHC which is what I bought it for.
The keyboard itself feels very solid and the keys are nice and quiet.
Has just about every media button you could think of and they all work plug and play. Did not have to install any software for XP SP3.
The extra USB ports come in handy too. My old compaq enhanced PS2 keyboard had none.
Overall Review: This is a full sized keyboard.
Suits my needs very well.
Pros: Quiet and is now supplying decent air flow through my old Compaq case as an exhaust fan. Nice supply of connectors/adapters come with.
Overall Review: Newegg and Rosewill products haven't let me down yet.
Some case mods may be required to mount this big fan. Measure first (I didn't).
Pros: Awesome upgrade from Sappire x1650 256M DDR2 (also from Newegg).
Now playing Oblivion maxed and in HD resolutions on a 23 inch widescreen monitor (Acer H233H) with no lag. Can't wait to 'try' some newer games with this card.
Overall Review: CCC Auto Tune settled in at 790M core and 865M on the DDR3 memory. Haven't seen the temps exceed 55C. Take that 4670.
My budget gamer: X2 3800 (S939), 3 GB KVR, 550W PSU, HD 4650 DDR3 (definite upgrade). All of these parts were supplied by Newegg to put in my old Compaq sr1703wm.
It LIVES! Thanks Newegg.
Pros: Kingston ram has always worked for me on MBs that SEEM to be picky. This kit was for my Compaq SR1703WM (A8AE-LE). Works great. Great Price.
Overall Review: All of my upgrade parts have come from Newegg. Socket 939 was new when I bought this PC. Seems like 6 months later it was old tech. Now, it's ancient. Who cares, I'm still having fun with this jalopy.
Thanks to Newegg.
P.S. First experience with Free Egg Saver shipping. Will pay for UPS in the future. But, not bad for free.
Pros: It's been running PC for 5 days solid no hiccups for gaming and video encoding. Noticed an avg 5C drop in cpu temps and 10C drop in gpu temps with this unit.
Happy with it so far.
Cons: Little louder than the rosewill 350W that it replaced.
Overall Review: Bought to test suspected power issue on boot (turned out to be memory gone bad). This PSU is working so well, I decided to leave it in there.
X2 3800+,x1650,2x512mb pc3200(had to remove the other 2x512mb as 1 stick failed)
Pros: Purchased 4 sets of this memory from Newegg for myself and friends over the last 6 months. Not one bad stick. Performs great for the price. All of mine had Aeneon chips.
Overall Review: Added these 2 512s to 2 512s of KVR I already had. Still dual channel at DDR400+.
Pros: Nice lightweight cooler for an A64 3200+ socket 754. Comes with thermal paste. Excellent packaging, as always
Overall Review: Used for a kids light gaming build for Christmas. Keeps the Athlon cool as a cucumber even at a slight overclock.
Pros: Great PSU for a budget system. Installed 2 so far with no problems.
Overall Review: Will review again after 6 months.
Pros: At 1024X768, average 35-40 fps in NWN2 near max settings and shadows ON! Great card for the money. Good enough for me.
Overall Review: System: Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (939), 1GB (2X512) Kingston Value Ram, Sapphire X1650 (256),
Xpress 200 Chipset.
Pros: Impressive upgrade for Xpress 200 chipset. Doubled my framerate in NWN2 @ stock speed with other processes left running on desktop. Arrived in perfect condition (UPS 3 Day). Packaging was excellent. Great price!!!
Cons: Price dropped $3 today.
Overall Review: Upgraded from Sempron 64 3200+ @2.2 Ghz. This processor was definately money well spent. Used Arctic Silver with stock Asus cooler. Hasn't exceeded 36C @2.0 Ghz. Might OC later but, I'm enjoying it just fine now. Come on guys, lets keep (not so) old 939 alive a little while longer (I still feel a pulse). I'm buying all of my future SOCKET 939 upgrades from Newegg.
