Pros: Small and quiet. Solid aluminum. The fan can be easily moved.
Overall Review: I use it with a Lenovo U-260 which is like a 12" netbook.
Pros: Very nice looking with great build materials. Keyboard is very nice. Bought from the manufacturer. There are plenty of reviews out there about this machine. I would recommend it for something a bit better than a netbook but somewhat less functional than a full laptop depending on your needs.
Windows 7 is awesome. Small and easy to carry.
Cons: Depending on needs no optical drive may be tough for some. I just use a portable one when I need it. Fan may be a little loud for some. Only 4 eggs due to the short battery life. I keep it in battery saver mode so its only 80% charged. The keyboard is great but not backlit.
Overall Review: Not much bloatware with it. Lenovo actually has some useful software included with it.
Pros: SATA small, quiet. Needs only one usb port to power it via the enclosure that I put it in.
Cons: None yet
Pros: Very small, not much bigger than the drive. Drive fits securely in the enclosure thanks to some kind of buffer material on one end. Appears to be very well built.
Overall Review: There are two very small screws holding the drive connector end to the enclosure. You will need a very small screw driver to properly remove them. Be careful putting them back in to avoid stripping anything.
Used windows disk manager to format the drive once it was fired up. 250Gig 5400rpm drive only needed one usb power source.
Pros: Large screen, nice picture. You can mount it in just about any real 10x13" frame or use it as is. Its a very sleek, modern looking black frameless screen. Nice remote. Very sturdy metal stand. Has an auto on and off feature. I havent fooled with the onboard memory yet. Just put in a preloaded SD card and turned it on, worked like a charm. Menus arent too complex which is good because the instructions leave a little to be desired which is normal these days.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: Newegg packaged this for shipment very well and the manufacturer did the same with their packaging.
Pros: For the price its not a bad game.
Cons: Its mostly racing, with a different spin.
Pros: Very easy step by step instructions on networking this printer. Ive pulled my hair out with other two letter brands and this was so easy. Once it was setup on the wireless network via one machine all the rest of my computers were even easier to setup with it. The document feeder/scanner works well.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Came directly to the door in its original box. Thank goodness Lexmark packaged it very well because it took some abuse but the printer was still in great shape.
Pros: Fun game that is easy to play and has plenty of various levels.
Cons: I dont know if its the game but when I play a two player game one controller doesnt point very well.
Pros: Comes with a very good game. Fits both controllers very well.
Cons: the wire routing for the nunchuck controller could have been better thought out.
Pros: Plenty of cord length. Very comfortable. Stays in place well.
Sound is very good.
Overall Review: Even though the cord is on one side it doesnt get in the way like I thought it might. If you use an arm band there may be too much cord unless you tie it up.
Pros: About 930G of storage after formatting. Im storing DVD files on it for playback and so far it works fine. Couldnt beat the price.
Pros: Very intuitive and easy to use. FREE 2009 map upgrade.
SD card storage is nice because the map files take up just about all of the internal storage. The little speaker actually sounds pretty good when playing an MP3 file. Finds satellites very fast. Many many features.
Cons: Not impressed with the way the unit came packaged from Garmin. I guess they think its pretty rugged. You will need to download a full instruction manual, only a quickstart guide comes with it. It needed an OS update which was fairly easy to do online on the garmin site.
Overall Review: Bought as a Christmas present, I might have to get one for me.
Pros: Worked without a hitch with XP MCE. Picture is very good, channels change pretty fast. FM tuner works.
Cons: Watch out for the little can shaped item on the circuit board, maybe a capacitor or something. It can be bent very easily during install. Not really a con if you are careful.
Overall Review: I have not tried the remote yet but probably will not use it.
I did not use any of the enclosed software except of course for the drivers. I used the MCE guide and recording software which works great.
Pros: No setup to speak of, plug and play. Great range over other units i've owned. Trackball and mouse buttons are in the right places and work great! Keys are adequate and have a nice feel. Overall great for the price. Not high end it but doesnt feel cheap either. Great for an HTPC.
Overall Review: If you were going to do a lot of typing it might not be for you.
Pros: Very quiet, cant here it over my stock cpu cooling fan.
Has an on/off switch. Nice wire wrapping.
Cons: Only two SATA power connections. If you have two required SATA devices they better be close together. I used an adapter to go from one of the legacy power leads to an SATA power connector.
Pros: Very well laid out and labeled. Front panel lead attach points and other headers are labeled and also color coded. The manual is in decent english. Has a great host of features.
Cons: None noted yet.
Overall Review: Read the directions to avoid mistakes the first time around.
Pros: Excellent construction, very easy to configure. Minimal instructions required. Very good airflow. Front case leads should be long enough for most mobo's.
Cons: As stated in other reviews, better feet would be nice depending on how you are going to use the case. As far as I can tell, the optional aluminum bezel will not work with the optical drive setup. Not really a problem if you have a black drive installed.
Pros: This is my third Samsung product and it is awesome. Plenty of inputs for everything. Newegg had the best price around as usual. Arrived in 4 days, no damage, everything works.
Overall Review: I highly recommend the Rosewill swing arm mount for this LCD.
Pros: Very sturdy and nicely powder coated.
Comes with nice substantial lag screws for mounting to studs. Joints can be adjusted for ease of movement. Screen can be tilted and leveled. There is a very simple cable tie system that you can opt to install on the arms. Installs using only one wall stud. This is a very good mounting bracket, I would definately purchase another.
Cons: Written instructions are vague and obviously translated poorly. I recommend just laying everything out and studying it for a while. Im still not sure what a couple of washer like parts are but according to the pictures I didnt need them anyway.
Overall Review: I Used this mount with a new 32" Samsung LCD also purchased at Newegg. There were plenty of mounting screws to choose from for the back of the TV mounting plate.
Pros: Very precisely built, fits my WD SATA drive perfectly. Comes with all the accessories you might need.
I used the USB 2.0 option.
Cons: As with all things these days, instructions are usually just a poor interpretation of Chinese. However, anyone should be able to figure this out regardless of the instructions.
Overall Review: Cooling fan is not very noisy, LED lights may bother some folks.
Pros: Installed very easily. Is much quieter than the stock CPU cooler fan.
Cons: Minor, but because of the heatpipe layout I was unable to vent the cooler toward the rear of the case where my two case fans are. Not a big deal, case is adequately ventilated.
Overall Review: Fits w/a few mm to spare in a Lian Li 880 case. It does work with MOBO fan control program vice using external control.
Pros: Nice widescreen, perfect out of the box. Setup was non existent. Just plugged it in and set the resolution to max. It is so bright that I had to turn it down quite a bit. Windows will automatically find the newest driver.
Cons: Couldnt load the CD that came with it but found that it wasnt necessary anyway. Finding a driver on the manufacturers website was impossible. Windows had better luck.
Overall Review: If I actually get the mail in rebate I will be even happier.
It shipped in its own box, clearly marked with the contents, I hope your neighbors dont want one if your not around to receive it.
Pros: Works without a glitch. Only takes up one USB header.
Pros: Very solid case with easy access. I have the case fan set to medium and it just hums along very quietly and cool. Plenty of room for a Micro ATX setup. Power supply seems adequate and is also quiet.
Cons: None for me although if you install a hdd on the case floor you might lose a PCI slot. I mounted mine there, but dont need the slot. Very little info on the power supply to be found on the manufacturers web site.
Overall Review: I use the onboard video with my mobo but I believe there is still alot of room for a large video card. You would have the entire case depth to install one.
Pros: All the features in a Non SLI board that you could ask for. Well laid out. Onboard audio is great. Used this board for a 1st time build of an HTPC. So far have had no issues.
MSI Live update works like a charm, even updated the bios through windows. Lots of optional software, if you dont need it dont use it, it will simplify things. Comes with plenty of SATA cables. Connected three SATA devices to SATA ports 1-4 works great. Lots of USB connections. Many fan connections.
Cons: Instructions are lacking but not too terrible. LED connection diagrams are vague.
Overall Review: Didnt use the RAID functions but if you do, use SATA 5-8 and load the drivers. Not overclocking or gaming yet so no advice there. Pay attention to proper memory placement, used 2Gig matched corsair PC3200 DDR400 XMS, one needs to go in green one in purple.
