Overall Review: At 5400 RPM, its as fast as most laptop hard drives. With the 160 GB capacity, and the USB power supply, it extends the capability of my laptop, and operates seemlessly as another HD. While it comes with two USB cables, I've found that only the thick one is required on my HP nc6400. I usually leave the other USB cable unplugged, and it works fine.

Pros: I've ordered 10 free agent drives for myself and colleagues, we haven't had one fail yet. They're small, lightweight, and easy to throw in the computer bag. They're completely USB powered. While it comes with two USB plugs, it seams to run fine without the extra power plugged in. Data transfer is fast.

Cons: It can run a little hot. This isn't a problem unless you stack something on top of it. If you're not using the drive for a few minutes, it does stop spinning (as expected) and it will take 15-30 seconds to spin up again. But this would occur with any external hard drive.

Overall Review: it runs at 5400 RPM, but that's as fast as the slower laptop drives.
