Most Favorable Review

I love it, but...

CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS
CyberPower Intelligent LCD Series CP1500AVRLCD 1500 VA 900 Watts 12 Outlets UPS

Pros: Has an LCD to check for status, and the UPS is running perfect. I loved it the first day I got it. It's also a great price.

Cons: This UPS is not recommended for power supplies that use "Active PFC" technology. Get this instead: CyberPower Professional PP1500SWT2 1500VA 1000W

Overall Review: I always research every product I buy here, but I missed one detail. Check your power supply on your PC, if it uses "Active PFC". If it does, get the one I recommend above. It's similar, but it costs more. I brought this and I tested it. Both power supply and UPS did a overload shut down, even though my power supply is rated at 430w. I had to RMA the unit and get the one that I wrote above. The reason is that the utility company produces a pure sine wave when u connect to the PC. This UPS produces what is called a "Modified Sine Wave", which is more like going up and down the stairs. It's not smooth, therefore the power supply does not like it. Mine made a high pitch noise, and it started to smell like really bad burnt toast. I love it, but use at your own risk. Save some money and frustration and get the one I mention. I'm not biased, and this is what I learned from research. It works fine if u don't have a Active PFC power supply. I will write a review when I get the other UPS
