Glad I decided to jump on this one!!!9/4/2013 1:14:30 PM

Pros: Really solid CPU especially considering the sub-$200 pricetag. Paired this with my Radeo 6950 video card and have had no problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this chip!!!

Cons: Too bad the free t-shirt was offered AFTER I bought mine!

Overall Review: Will probably buy another one of these chips within the next few months as I'm planning on building a gaming rig for my son. This CPU is rock solid and has stood up to everything that I've thrown at it.

Can't believe I got this kind of card for less than $3009/28/2011 5:00:04 AM

Pros: Plays every single game I've thrown at it at the max settings with absolutely no strain at all. For the price, you simply are not going to get a better card. . . Got the card, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Dirt 3, and a $20 rebate to boot. I'm beyond pleased with this purchase!!! All this for only $269.00 after all is said and done. . . unbelievable!!! It even comes with an HDMI cable!!!

Cons: Had to jump through a couple of hoops to get my free copy of Dirt 3 due to a 3rd party game code screwup. . . No reflection on the quality of the card, though!!!

Overall Review: Put this in your wishlist and buy it as soon as it becomes available. You won't be sorry!!!

Nice card9/12/2011 5:01:50 AM

Pros: Card has been really solid with no problems installed in my Archos 101 tablet. Good read/write speeds with no lag that I can tell. None of my apps have any trouble loading or running at all and video/music playback is great. Couldn't recommend a better card for use with my device!

Cons: None thusfar

Overall Review: Did just exactly what it was supposed to do. Holds a lot of stuff and transfers data really quickly. Would buy this card again and again!

For the $$$ can't beat it7/19/2011 10:47:04 AM

Pros: Nice large screen. Micro-SDHC slot to upgrade storage. Mini-HDMI slot for TV output. ANDROID!!! (Free apps = always a plus!!!) I put a 32 gig card in this machine and it works flawlessly. Battery life is pretty good, too. Didn't intend on this device to be a laptop replacement so I don't mind the light processor and RAM limitations.

Cons: Viewing angle/screen could've been a little better (Knew that going into this purchase) and the camera is virtually useless (didn't buy this device for the camera) I deducted 1 egg from what would have been a 5-egg review due to these two things. . . Otherwise, I love this device!!!

Overall Review: Bought this to replace my Zune HD which died for the second time and was out of warranty. Does a great job playing all my music and video files. I could've shelled-out more money for a machine that had a nicer screen, but I wanted something that I wasn't afraid to take on-the-go for fear of breaking it. I bought myself a cheap netbook bag to carry it in and I'm all set for hitting the road! It's great for watching videos while I'm out eating during my lunchbreak at work or waiting for my kids during one of their school functions. This is the 3rd of this line of Archos tablets that I've purchased (my 2 kids have an Archos 43 each) and we absolutely love them.

AMD rules!!!5/24/2011 1:48:25 PM

Pros: Replaced my Phenom II X3 with this jewel. . . Noticably faster bootup without even bothering to OC it. For the money, it's super-sweet!!!

Cons: None

Overall Review: Bought mine with a free game download from AMD. . . All in all, a good purchase!

Fantastic game5/23/2011 11:06:14 AM

Pros: Gameplay is good (typical WOW-type controls), map is expansive, AWESOME that you can have so much flexibility in your character(s). To explain further, in most MMO's, if you want a character with a different spec, you have to create a new one and start from Level 1 with it. In Rift, you basically only need to level up 4 characters: A rogue, a warrior, a mage, and a cleric. The sub-sections for each of these classifications have 8 "souls" from which you can pick-and-choose 3 which determine which abilities the character gets. It's awesome that, whenever you encounter an area that your current build is having trouble with, you can switch "roles" which basically allows you to repick souls and then dispurse your points to give it the abilities that you need to overcome a particular area. Trion is really doing a great job in keeping new material coming and, unlike some MMO's that I've played, they haven't stopped working to perfect the game.

Cons: None really. . . Female characters need a little more cleavage, but that's my personal take on it. LOL

Overall Review: I was hesitant when I was mulling-over puchasing this title as I didn't think it would be worth my time. . . I'm glad that I did!!! There is enough in this game thusfar to keep you occupied as the quests aren't the sole focus of the game. Dimensional rifts open up based on the elements Fire, Air, Water, Life, and Death. These rifts are in varying difficulty and really make the game more exciting as they can open up anywhere and at any time. Not only do they open up but, once they get established, they send in invasion forces to attack the local NPC's and players who happen to be in the area. If you like the MMO-type games, this one is worth a look.

Archos RULEZZZ5/6/2011 12:50:46 PM

Pros: Size is great/picture quality is good/Love all the free apps available via Android/Internet browsing is decently fast/Video player function is awesome as this tablet plays a ton of file formats

Cons: Camera feature is of a lower quality than I expected, but that's not the primary function that it was purchased for

Overall Review: Bought 2 of these jewels for my kids as birthday gifts. . . They haven't put them down since they got them. If you're looking for a mp3/video player, definitely give this one a look!

Smokezilla2/22/2011 10:34:34 AM

Pros: This the 2nd WD Media Player device that I own. I already had a WD HD TV media player and still get good service out of it. Love the fact that WD put a 1 TB hard drive into this puppy. This device is fantastic and easy to operate (my 10- and 7-year old kids use it on their own). I matched it up with a mini-keyboard to make searching Youtube easier. The first day I hooked it up, the kids spent the whole afternoon doing nothing but watching lame Youtube videos. . . They were as delighted with it as I was with it. Used powerline networking to avoid going the wireless route and it works fantastically.

Cons: I wish it had a web browser!!! Get yourself a mini-keyboard as typing in words with the remote is ultra-slow work. A few more apps would be a real plus, but the ones it does have work flawlessly.

Overall Review: Plenty of storage space Easy to setup on my home network Sleek enough that it doesn't look bad sitting with my other Audio/Video components in my entertainment center

Nice drive for the $$$1/19/2011 10:15:45 AM

Pros: Solid little drive. I like the way the cover slides and doesn't completely come apart from the unit so it doesn't get lost. For the small price, you can't go wrong.

Cons: Dark color of the drive makes it really easy to lose in the bottom of my laptop bag. . . Maybe a brighter color would help this (very small gripe)

Overall Review: I'm constantly taking files and transferring them between various computers and my media players. This drive thusfar has worked without any problems.

Awesomely easy1/3/2011 5:15:58 AM

Pros: This unit does everything that it's supposed to do. It was extremely easy to setup (just plug-and-play). I don't know why I didn't go this route earlier.

Cons: None come to mind.

Overall Review: I'm running an XBox 360 and a Western Digital Live Media Center through mine. Awesome to be able to simply drag-and-drop files into the internal storage on my WD through my network. The data transfer speeds are good, too.

Nice dock for the $$$12/9/2010 6:41:39 AM

Pros: Can't beat this dock for the price! I got mine as part of a combo deal with a WD Green 800 GB drive.

Cons: Sometimes I get a little tingle if I touch the metal of my HD and the power button at the same time, but it's negligible.

Overall Review: I use mine to store videos and music files at my office that I don't want to carry about on my laptop. It's great to be able to simply buy another HD when I run out of storage without having to do the "What do I want to delete?" game.

Western Digital = 'Nuff Said!!!11/24/2010 5:28:03 AM

Pros: Once again, Western Digital continues to make superior storage products. Got my drive as part of a Shell Shocker with a Rosewill dock for only $50 with free shipping. . . Can't go wrong for this amount of storage for that amount of money.

Cons: Didn't come pre-loaded with goodies.

Overall Review: Drive is only a little slower than my Western Digital Black Caviar drives. . . I'm using mine as a video library at my office along with my laptop and Zune HD. . . It's great for this purpose as it uses low power and emits low heat.

For the price, what's not to like?10/28/2010 5:12:07 AM

Pros: How can you go wrong with this tower for the price? (I got mine as a deal item for $20/free shipping).

Cons: For the money, NONE

Overall Review: Bought this to do a cheap build for my little sis. . . The $$$ I saved on this tower will help pay for better hardware!!!

3 licenses @ $50 each. . . Why not?10/28/2010 5:09:27 AM

Pros: How can you beat a LICENSED copy of Windowz 7 for $50??? Nice that they put both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions in the package as I installed one in an older PC (an old Inspiron 1505 laptop) that I wasn't sure would even recognize 64-bit. . . Upgraded from XP (clean install) with no problems after a simply upgrade of the BIOS.

Cons: You only get 2 disks (32-bit and 64-bit) and only 1 product code. If you planning to go together with someone else to buy this deal, you need to workout beforehand how you're going to deal with everyone not getting a disk.

Overall Review: Microsoft is gonna strongarm everyone away from XP anyway. . . Get 7 on "the cheap" while you can!

Good buy/Small storage8/11/2010 1:29:38 PM

Pros: Nice looking drive/small price makes them expendable (nice for letting my buddies take home with them without having to worry about if I get them back or not)

Cons: Transfer speeds (not big detraction)

Overall Review: Saw flashdrives with half the storage for the same price locally at various dept. stores. . . bought 2 from Newegg w/free shipping!!! NICE!!!!!!!

Nice sound out of a small device6/21/2010 1:43:15 PM

Pros: Nice size for carrying in my briefcase w/my other laptop stuff. . . Comes with a nice drawstring pouch to keep the mini-USB cable handy and still out-of-the-way. This little gem really boosts the sound output of my laptop and does a very nice job. Like the way the + and - buttons for the volume on the device actually control the volume on the laptop. . . Not just the device itself. Independant power button on the unit makes it easy to simply turn it off quickly if need be. I'm glad I purchased it.

Cons: None as of yet

Overall Review: I was glad to see that Logitech finally decided to go with a standard mini-USB plug instead of using some proprietary cable that means just one more "special" cable that you would need to keep up with. . . I wish they had done that with their MX Performance Mouse!

Own two of these. . . Both work great6/14/2010 12:23:31 PM

Pros: Own two of these units. . . Use one on my desktop and one on my laptop. Both work great with Windows 7 Home Premium. Just install the driver disk before you plug it up and you're ready to go!

Cons: Not all games are able to use the controller, but that's not Microsoft's fault. . . Dummy programmerzzzz!!!

Overall Review: It blows non-techminded people's minds when I'm sitting out somewhere in public with my laptop using an XBox controller to play games. LOL

Not a fan of racing games but. . .6/14/2010 5:53:03 AM

Pros: I don't normally go for racing games and I don't enjoy NASCAR, Indy Car, or any of that kinda stuff. . . I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I got this one for my birthday and I haven't been able to put it down. Being able to cause wipeouts of the other racers and the abilty to change the route of the race is awesome.

Cons: The in-games cars aren't based on real ones, but it's not a major complaint.

Overall Review: I really like the look and feel of this game. You're never really out of the race regardless of how far back in the pack you get. By charging-up the PowerPlay meter, you can have either a little or a lot of effect on the other players on the track. Give this a look. . . You'll like it!!!

Savin' me $$$6/11/2010 10:40:14 AM

Pros: Good battery life/Saves me big $$$ as we have 6 XBox 360 controllers in my house. . . My kids went through batteries like CRAZY!!!

Cons: Like previous review: My battery packs were black, but it's a small point. . . It allows me tell which controllers should be in which room as I've got two XBox 360's

Overall Review: None. . . It's a rechargeable battery pack. . . What more can I say?

Great product6/11/2010 5:10:51 AM

Pros: I normally don't like using a mouse at all. . . I prefer a trackball as I like not having to use a mousepad while gaming as I tend to run off the edges. I finally agreed to go with a mouse on my home desktop due to the insistance of my family (particularly my kids) who found the Logitech Optical Trackman that I normally prefer (another great Logitech product!!!) too big for their small hands. This is the best mouse that I've ever used. . . bar none! It's still big enough that I don't feel like I'm using a toy (I have big hands) and the Darkfield tracking that this mouse uses means I don't have to use a mousepad at all. The scroll wheel is hyper-fast and seems like it would spin forever with just a flick of your finger. . . It's great for scrolling through large webpages or through large files with lots of individual files inside. I keep lots of video and music files for synching with my Zune HD and this feature often keeps me from spending lots of time searching.

Cons: Logitech's proprietary charging cable. . . I'm sure the thought of using a standard mini-USB cable to charge this device with never crossed their minds. I now have yet another "special" cable that I have to keep track of. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Overall Review: I hesitated about spending this much on a simple mouse, but I have to say that I don't regret this purchase. This is just another product that validates my loyalty to Logitech as a customer who has purchased at least 20+ input devices from them over the years. I even use their stuff at work where I brought in my own despite our IT Dept's objection. LOL

Smokezilla5/10/2010 10:35:22 AM

Pros: This game is the hyped-up follow-up to L4D. . . Great game at a great price on Newegg. . . I registered it through my Steam account and got the DDC "The Passing" for no extra charge!!! RAWK!!!!

Cons: No nudey pics of Zoey from Part I in this one :-(

Overall Review: Online multiplayer on Steam is fantastic. . . Bought this game initially for my XBox, but I haven't even touched it since I started playing the PC version. Thanks for the deal, Newegg!

LOVE this machine!!!5/10/2010 10:28:34 AM

Pros: The i5 with 4 gig DDR3 RAM is simply uber-fast. The video card is great. The only thing I could think to improve this laptop would be a faster HDD and a bigger battery. For the price, I don't think you're gonna beat it.

Cons: Battery life sucks, but whatchagonnado??? It's packing a good video card. . . it's to be expected.

Overall Review: If you don't like the way it attracts fingerprints (and it definitely does!), go to and order yourself a fine skin for it. Otherwise, I can't believe I put off buying myself a laptop for a long as I did.

To quote General Ackbar: It's a trap!!!5/6/2010 12:45:23 PM

Pros: Units looked like brand new when received (X2)

Cons: First unit I received bricked whenever I tried to use the mp3 player function. . . It worked fine for a few miles then the screen went black. I was able to turn it back on a little while later only to have it do the same thing again. Unit #2 (The replacement) wouldn't even let me input a destination address. . . When I'd hit "Where To?" to input an address, it would only respond "No Data Available". . . I sent it back for a refund

Overall Review: Evidently, Garmin doesn't do a very good job in recertifying their products or else I just got 2 lemons in a row. . . I thought I'd save a few sheckles by going to recert route. . . Boy, did I learn my lesson.

It's a cable. . .3/12/2010 8:54:54 AM

Pros: It does what it's supposed to do. . . No issues with the product at all. Length of the cable was just about right for my build. Price was best that I found anywhere on the net.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Had no trouble with installation of my new harddrive
