Meltdown after two weeks

Lenovo Laptop IdeaPad Intel Core i5-460M 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 32 GB SSD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Y560(0646-2YU)
Lenovo Laptop IdeaPad Intel Core i5-460M 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 32 GB SSD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 15.6" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Y560(0646-2YU)

Pros: When it worked it was great. The ability to switch between onboard and dedicated video cards was great for not only batter savings but made for a much more comfortable experience when working with the computer resting on my lap. Ran all the software that i needed it to and was light enough to not be uncomfortable when transporting it from home to work.

Cons: IT MELTED DOWN AFTER TWO WEEKS! I sat down at my desk one morning, powered it up and noticed after a few minutes that the windows startup screen had been there for an abnormally long time. I patiently waited wondering if there was some automatic update that I had failed to notice. Sadly this was not the case as a blue screen of death informing me of doom and gloom and failure to boot. I restarted the computer and was taken to windows repair screen where it made a 20 minute attempt to repair the boot sequence, the hard drive sounding like stones a a dryer the whole time... It then prompted me to restart to see if the repairs had worked... which I did and now I cant even get the windows startup screen, just a black screen with a strobing cursor in the upper left corner like command prompt. Lenovo's website is worthless for finding a local authorized repair shop. Unless you live in Brunei or Vietnam.

Overall Review: After sitting on hold for 20 minutes Lenovo emailed me a shipping label to send the laptop back to them and then they will apparently send me the repaired laptop back all at their expense. However the odds of me ever really trusting the laptop again are slim to none.
